Max Fried is making his 4th Opening Day start, with his previous 3 coming with Atlanta. He was outstanding in 2025, going 19-5 with a 2.86 ERA, and his spring numbers this year were solid enough: 14.1 innings, 7 earned runs, 12 strikeouts, and 4 walks.
Oracle Park is also a good setting for San Francisco in this matchup. It’s a pitcher-friendly park, and Logan Webb’s ground-ball style is the kind of profile that can help neutralize some of the Yankees’ power. Webb has been much better at home in his career, posting a 2.84 ERA there compared to 3.95 on the road. He also carried strong form into this season after going 2-0 with a 1.04 ERA in the World Baseball Classic.
I’m leaning Giants and the under.
