Welcome mate, it is nice seeing you launch your project here on this platform. I visited your website, and I do not see anything enticing about it. The graphics are dull and not appealing to say the least.

I had to check out your ToS and Privacy Policy, but I could not find any. Why do you not have it open for everybody to see? As a player, that is the first thing we check out for before anything else, because that gives the guidelines on how to operate on the platform, so that one does not make any silly mistakes. I will advise you make it public so that it could be accessible to anyone who deem it fit to see for themselves before playing on your platform.

Welcome to the forum. I confess I don't understand the point of posting your incomplete casino. I prefer to believe it's incomplete; we all know that any business, anything done with a commercial objective, must first be a tested product, its quality level measured, and only after that should it be presented to the market so that customers are interested in using or buying it and you make a profit.

When you create an incomplete casino, without many resources, even if you say it will be free to play, the point is that the people who will play won't win any money. Why would people spend time playing at your casino with few games and no option to win a lot of money and withdraw?

Nobody will do that, so people will ignore your casino to continue using the casinos they are at that allow them to win money if they are lucky. Your casino doesn't have a Terms of Service (TOS) and doesn't have a license, and I didn't see a domain name. Also, make a nice ANN thread.

Since the user seed can't be modified then your game isn't provably fair at all. If you create the server seed and the user seed then you could easily manipulate the game outcome or even worse, you can give to the user a long, bad luck run.

The user seed is regenerated each game (or it should be, if not it's a bug), it is unpredictable for the server. Anyways I like your suggestions, I'll be working on it. Thank you

you need to add the option for the client seed to be set up by the user, and you need to commit to a hashed server seed that doesn't change, and use a nonce for each bet instead of what you have right now.
if the casino generate everything (client seed + server seed), you can't call it provably fair. just check other casinos with a provably fair system to get a better idea on how it should work.

and i don't know if it's just the server, but placing the bets is too slow, way too slow, it takes like 5 seconds to see the result.

i know this is an ongoing project, but maybe you have published this a bit too soon, cause to me it looks just like an unrefined proof of concept, it's not a bad start, but you have a lot of work ahead of you OP if you are serious about this project.

I think this is a misunderstanding of the core idea of the project.
Nostropy does't want to be a casino by itself, interpreting a casino as code+community+instance.
With instance I mean the act of running a nostropy casino backend and frontend, because it's built to be open to anyone to run it, in the same way bitcoin is.

The idea of nostropy is something like "we handle the code, you handle your instance and community".
What I want with nostropy is to lower the entry barrier of anyone that wants to run bitcoin casino, they don't need to reinvent the wheel.
Also it will create much more transparency, because from my point of view, players should be able to know exactly what they are playing, that are the payouts, etc.
Of course anyone can copy the code and try to copy the all features, the games and everything and attempt to make it "the better nostropy", but, from my pov its like saying that if you copy the bitcoin code and improve some stuff you can create a better bitcoin, and look how many shitcoins are out there. Copying nostropy would not benefit you, by doing so you will be just like any other online casino out there.

What I want is
* Community leaders run nostropy instances
* Communities compete with each other and other casinos
* Each one running an instance can voluntarily zap a configurable percentage to development fund
* Instances run in a federation, with the idea of getting closer to decentralized gambling (not trustless yet, some level of trust is required on community administrators)

Everything that can be customized is or will be configurable:
* House edge on slots
* Icons
* Bonuses

By making that competition easier, players will be able to enjoy better conditions, more fair games, and better payouts (house edges will tend to be lowered).

My inspiration of the community based model come from @lnp2pBot and Mostro P2P exchanges, both projects led by @negrunch. Both exchanges are open source and community driven.
Why not to create a casino with a similar idea?

The amount of services and casinos does not actually influence the edge of the house, because as it stands today, there are thousands of casinos and they keep an minimum house edge in order to remain profitable and keep up with their operating costs.

Anyways, your idea is something original to say the least. It is kind of refreshing to see something different on here so now and then. Though, allow me to be skeptical on the possible reception it will have within the gambling community and the Bitcoin community as a whole.

The model of nostropy is that you will have mainly 2 ways of attracting users to your community:
 * Either you attract more people to your community on your preferred platforms (attract external users)
 * Or you can try to attract users that are already betting on nostropy, by doing so you can set lower house edges or create more bonuses (attract internal users)
 
From my point of view, that competition will be good for all users as a whole, because they will end up having:
 * Better payouts
 * More bonuses
 * Better UX (because of dev fund)
 * More fairness (open source, you know exactly what you are playing)

Keep in mind that in the nostropy model, node operators will keep the majority of revenue (by default 70%), and they only zap back a configurable percentage of earnings each month for dev funding.

That’s right. I don’t see why the OP hasn’t bought a Copper membership or waited until he’d built up enough activity to post images. He has certainly earned enought merits. After all, with so many projects being announced here, presenting a project in this way looks a bit shabby, and first impressions count.
