I don't expect politicians to object to receiving aid from any source, whether crypto, fiat, bank accounts, or anything else, but I think it's the political conflict between politicians and their attempts to monitor all the movements of their political opponents in order to create a political scandal.

It is true that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are transparent and all transactions can be tracked, but at the same time their source is anonymous. Therefore, a politician who receives support in crypto can be accused by his opponents of receiving it from an illegal source.

Is using crypto as another means of payment not among the things an individual can use crypto for? Knowing that someone can use crypto for any payment means they wish to have, is an avenue for someone to go ahead to make any payment of their choice, if the receiver provides a crypto address.

I think we have seen it happen on many occasions for politicians to seek support for their political ambitions through crypto donations. For that reason, I think Politicians are open to crypto donations, not against for political support. The time they are against many times, it is for money laundering and illicit activities

Donation should be free, anything can be used as a medium of donation, the most important thing is that it has a convertible value, why do they mind the type of donation? We should ask like that, maybe even gold or other valuable things can be used as a tool for donation.
Or maybe it's because of transparency which they hate because people can track the distribution of their donations so corrupt governments don't like it because they can't take their share to eat other people's rights from the donations.

It is not money because money is only a thing anyway but it was us human is the one that can discriminate on so many things that we can think of, more in money because it is so common.

Yes. That surely can earn a discrimination very easily. One is people think politicians are already wealthy and secondly, many thinks they are dishonest, so they are not worthy anymore to be given by a dollar/money/donations. Although it was actually them are the ones that gives donation during the campaign period to earn the likes of the public and possibly voting them. Anyways, I didn't know trump did that. I only thought he only shilled BTC to win the heart of the BTC/crypto community. He was unique though.

These are two different aspects, crypto goes up and down in its place and politics works on its state, but when they work separately on their chair, their path is different, but when a big job has to be done, politics always gets the job done through crypto or some other big thing. There are many examples in front of us, out of which a big war is going on right now, in which its politics has been strengthened using crypto, which has caused a lot of damage to crypto. Through this, it also imposes restrictions on other countries and at the same time stops many wars through crypto. The way crypto is controlled through these things is not good, if it wants to go up according to its own level, we will see it at the top. In politics, everything is always used and put aside and crypto will also be left behind by using the politics of some countries.

on one side, crypto donations can actually bring more transparency since many transactions are traceable, but on the other side the concern comes from how easily funds can move across borders and how identities can still be hidden to some extent but if i'm being honest i know politicians will most likely want a system where you can't trace them at all and then also whether it is right or wrong depends on the system around it actually. Crypto itself is just a tool and how it is used and monitored will determine how it is used in general and if there are clear rules and accountability it can work but without that it can raise concerns about influence and misuse in some manners, so how prepared the system is to handle it properly otherwise these people will just find a way to bypass the system.

I think that any political donation, regardless of the currency, should be highly illegal. There is absolutely no reason why open and public bribery should be made legal. Especially when it comes from groups that do not have the people's best interests in mind but rather their own profits. Like the tobacco industry. Why the hell should tobacco be allowed to bribe politicians? We know what they want. They want people to keep smoking and buying their tobacco products, even if it kills them.

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are far too public and traceable for these types of games. That is one thing I am proud of. And it is most likely the reason why the parasites shy away from crypto. They would rather hide behind their untraceable, anonymous, manipulated and criminal fiat currencies.

I don't see anything wrong with that, it's just considered to be a form of payment just as cash can be used for donation in any movement political should also not be a problem,  unless you want to propose general censorship on crypto on what it should be used for and what it shouldn't be spent on which will defy its purpose.

Many crypto currency can be traced if not all, but tracing it down to the user's identity depends on how the person use it, like buying from a centralized exchange, sending payment directly from your wallet down to where have your identity etc, by programming since you don't need your ID to use it, it's not supposed to easily be tracked down to the user.

And if there are DPR politicians who still oppose the use of cryptocurrency for certain purposes, it may be because they themselves don't yet understand how to use cryptocurrency, which also prohibits other people's actions using cryptocurrency. However, if it's just limited use and not for a bad idea, then there's no problem with it compared to using regular fiat currency, whose path is sometimes difficult to trace.

most of the politicians you see there are transacting with the cryptocurrency secretly but we at there will not know that they are banking with the cryptocurrency, but in public you will see them condemning cryptocurrency why if you go into their wallet you will see some thousands and millions of cryptocurrencies in their wallet, I know a governor in my country that invest in cryptocurrency but it will not come up openly to discuss anything about cryptocurrency in public

I don't think it's a bad idea, as long as politicians are transparent about who made the donations, because, in a way, the form of payment used in a donation shouldn't be a problem, as long as it's a legal donation. I don't know how it works in other countries, but in Brazil it's necessary to prove who the donor was and declare these donations; there's no possibility of anonymous donations (at least in theory).

What is their use if not to be used? Their current function doesn't match their initial purpose, which was for payments, purchases, etc. Many people keep them thinking about appreciation and profit, and that's fine, but I'm referring to their real usefulness, their everyday use.

Well, when you talk about bitcoin, it has a transparent blockchain and every transaction is traceable. So, in case it is used for political donations, it is good because everything is transparent and everyone will know how much was donated and whether the donation was used for the purpose it was given or not.

By giving donations in traditional finance, like through cash or banks, there is no way to verify anything, and usually the government will hide any donations they receive or sometimes falsely claim that they have given donations just to gain sympathy, but they never did.

I can say that it depends on the people holding the crypto and whoever they are sending it to. If it's with the donation to the politicians, that's their decision and we are out of their decision. It's even used in illegal activities and so, they can spend their crypto however they want. But I think as for politicians, they can use it for a getaway or to justify that their funds are raised and done through donations even it is them that probably done it themselves.

I find it extremely contradictory for politicians to mess with cryptocurrencies or decentralized networks. It's exactly because they love controlling every single aspect of the population and usually adore choosing what we should or shouldn't do, or how we should behave... One of the reasons Bitcoin exists is precisely so we can break free from all this state control and political decision-making. So, these people getting involved with crypto is total hypocrisy.

Crypto donations has brought in better opportunities to the crypto communities, at first politicians didn't think of how smooth and fast, donations from crypto could impact success to their campaigns, until the US presidential campaign benefited at large the big donations through crypto, since then politicians accross the globe have adopted to welcome such donations and also it uplifts the widespread of the currency. The kind of politicians in the OP could be considered behind of what is going on in world politics and how crypto has permeated the political field.

Why should it be wrong? Crypto is just like money. There's nothing wrong with sending money (donation) to a politician. Especially when we're talking about supporting his/her political campaign. In fact, sending crypto is much better than Fiat because of the low-cost and fast speed (depending on the crypto of choosing).

Politicians accept crypto donations not only because they're convenient, but also to gain the favor of crypto enthusiasts/lovers. Of course, not everyone will be on-board the crypto train. Some politicians reject crypto out of pure hatred. Sen. Elizabeth Warren in the US is a good example of this. I'm sure haters will change their mind over the long-term as crypto becomes more popular. It's now getting tied to politics to a point where either politicians embrace the revolution or get left behind in the dust. Just my opinion.

That is not a bad idea using crypto as political donations although some people will not agree. We don't know the reason but if people still wants doing that, they can't be stopped.

Maybe some politicians thinks that crypto related to illegal things so they are not agree. But they can say many reasons about their objection.

We can hopes that crypto is not being used for illegal transaction. That makes the trust from people will increase to use crypto for many things.

Using crypto for political donations is just like the normal way of doing donations which can be through fiat or any other means. That a person decides to make use of crypto only tells that the individual in question is a crypto bullish person.  You can't expect someone that is not enthusiastic about crypto to all of a sudden buy into the idea of making use of crypto for Thier political donation knowing fully well that politics is more of a game of interest and politicians generally try everything within Thier reach to ensure that they only associate with things and systems that keeps them relevant. It's same reason why Donald trump was loud about bitcoin towards the election because he needed to get into the mind of the crypto enthusiastic population of the United states. You can't factor the place of politics from any known system but at the same time, politics is not what determines that a system will strive well or not because they are mostly desperate and selfish set of individuals that are mostly after themselves.
