Nowadays we see people betting on the market trends, what I meant by market trend is when people see superior team as people to win without them considering some factors, and circumstances that may occurred while the game is running; such as corner, penalty, free kick or even offside. All these could make you lose towards the superior team, so I want know if truly you consider all these before placing your bet or you just bet towards the trend and hope to win. Similar cases could be Arsenal 0 : 2 Man City, where many people believed on the market trends and give winning to Arsenal without knowing that Man City could outperform them. I rarely bet on matches that has a distinct underdog and favorite since the odds is always not good for team that has high stats. I always bet on matches that has a decent difference on stats so that the odds will not be influenced heavily by the favorites hype.

I don’t know about football matches that you mentioned as example but I think the crowd followed the trend because Arsenal is performing great on their previous matches.

Overall, it’s not worth it to ride the trend if the odds is already very small due to heavy biased on bet.

On a normal day, when you discover that a big team is to play with a small one, the next that comes your mind is the underdogs losing and the strong team winning, but in gambling reality, anything can happen because there is no constant assurance to what a team can perform at every point in time, each one has to show their competence for survival to win or lose against the match they are playing, therefore anything can happen and you see the opposite what you expected on a normal day, this is gambling for you.

When I place my bet I consider team strength and previous matches, sometimes their odd tells how their chances of winning are, but if course sometimes I make my prediction base on superior team but however gambling or betting is unpredictable. The small team or underdog you look down on may still win with the big odd they have while the big team with small odd will lose. You can't just tell what the outcome will be. Many gamblers have lose money placing bet on superior team forgetting that there is also a time when the Small team will struggle to win the superior team.

It is unwise to bet on the market trend because it is not strategic, A lot of bettors do it based on club favouritism and this is a wrong approach when it comes to sport betting. It is possible that the big teams or your favorite teams can end up losing sometimes that's why it's important to check some factors before making your decision, placing your bets on based on the odds provided will make you lose.

Personally, I take the market trend into account, but honestly speaking, it doesn't really affect my choice of the team I bet on.
I tend to bet on intuition and not really in a reasonable way, I'm not a great odds calculator or even a good one at forecasting, my style I consider "casual".
Of course I look at the odds (I think it's the basis), I also look at the previous matches, but then I play with intuition and I have to say that they also guess absurd matches that not even the bookmakers would put 1 cent.

The market does not have a direct relation with sports betting because its different aspects do not mean the market gets down there is a chance the underdogs make a huge chance of winnings and beat the currently top teams. It's all about the players and teams' performance and does not have a correlation at all i guess its just a coincidence that happens. If I get you right then I won't really call what you're describing a market trend. Instead I will call it public sentiment or hype in my terms.

The point is, it's stupid actually to consider only hype when making your picks.
You can't eliminate it but you can make your own decision.

Basically the superior team has a big chance of winning, as well as their core players they can rely on, compared to teams that are not superior, regardless of whether there are penalty kicks, corners and so on on the field, it is beyond expectations.

Talking about Arsenal vs. Man City as a whole we can see that in the first half both teams looked good, as well as Arsenal, they actually had a good chance to score a goal, in the 15th and 77th minutes but fate had other plans, This can happen in the world of football, as a whole, if you say Arsenal vs. In Man City betting, both teams are at the top, so in general both of them are equally strong and difficult to predict.

What I know about this kind of situation is that the crowd rush to the team that is top form. They hype it and it often times becomes the market favourite and pick....  Just like Arsenal has been in top performance but Manchester City is not an underdog. This is one incident i find really common amongst gamblers, even those who may be considered experienced gamblers, once a particular team is trending for some sort of their strength, people, no longer bother to make analysis on them about their possible strength any more, they just rather pick them because they believe they will win, especially if they see that the opponent does look like a weak side against the popular strong side. it's always important to make those reconsiderations even when you know that a team looks so strong side because you never can tell the day they will be unlucky enough to get you your desired results. when i see fixtures and i am not sure of them, i just rather make picks on the other options and  not just outright winning on superior sides.

What really happened is that you can predict whether the 3 bet each gonna winning, that is why it's important to gamble with an amount you know that you can be able to risk than something very higher and expected to win someone from it. Personally, I think betting on the stronger team is one of the most common mistakes in betting.
People don’t really pay attention to penalties, red cards, corners, or refereeing, but those factors can completely change the outcome. One moment is enough to break what looked like a clear trend.
if you’re serious about betting, you’ve got to go deeper-  check lineups, injuries, fatigue, schedule, motivation - that’s where the advantage comes from.

We bet on the winner if the other team is a much stronger team compared to the other, which is on a losing streak and considered the weakest, then we will go with the obvious choice of the winner, but if the weaker team can deliver an upset and has a history of winning against a stronger team then we can take a risk and go against a market trend.
Sometimes we have to take risks if there is a chance that a weak team can deliver, because the rewards outweigh winning with the obvious winner.

Any ways is good that you said many people but I am not among those sets of people who believe that Manchester City could win the match,  considering their recent performance, it's clear that we could have a win from Arsenal's side on that day.

Even the games provider's where aware of that that is why you see the odds offered for both clubs on the game day and how Arsenal odds keep going down as the time of the game draws closer.

In any league this season, Manchester City is not fit enough to easily defeat Arsenal, but I understand the reality that comes with the games sometimes.

IMO, it will depend on the situation. In the NBA, there is one called tanking, and those who had been losing most of their bet will tend to decide to losr all their games It' s either to minimize the wasted timeeee asking for parents to keep up with their kids or it's something not legal that was unknown to every parent.

I guess the correct term should be the current form in that case yes it matters a lot when it comes to sports betting.

I maynot be always going with the form but it will be a factor to consider to increase the success percentage but then it comes the loyalty factor, there are fans like me who wants to bet on their team no matter who is playing against which is kind of loyalty but everyone free to chose it though.

What I understand is pretty simple. Betting based on market trends feels like you’re just following the public, and for me that’s not a good strategy. Most of the time it will lose, or at least in the long run, since the majority of bettors usually end up losing anyway.

Yes, favorite teams do win, but that doesn’t guarantee they’ll win all the time. And people sometimes forget there’s also the spread and other markets involved, which makes it more tricky
