I don't know if this is a scam accusation or not since they didn't take any money from you, but last-minute things aren't always good. Not all bets are going to be settled instantly. Some happen almost immediately, while others take some time or minutes. Maybe that's what happened at that time. I am not sure about the estimated esports bet settlement time, but the customer support should have given you a satisfactory answer.

Clearly it's not. And it happens very often that bets don't get settled within seconds after a bet is won/lost, that's just how it is. No clue why OP would wait that long to make a tiny 150$ bet when such a high free bet is at stake. Just bet on anything, doesn't really matter if it wins or loses.
There is nobody to blame but OP, also bets are getting settled by odds providers, not the casino. So blame betby.

Duckdice.io has a promotion where you can receive a free bet after reaching a certain wagering amount, with a deadline every Friday at 13:00 UTC.

This week, I really made an effort to complete the task. Before the 13:00 deadline, I only needed to wager another $150 to qualify for a $4,800 free bet. Since I was quite busy on Friday morning, I didn’t manage to place many bets earlier. Fortunately, I did manage to place an esports halftime bet before 13:00.

The halftime actually finished at around the 59th minute, but for some reason, the bet was not settled—even after that part of the match had clearly ended.

In the end, I reached out to customer support, although I didn’t really expect much. As anticipated, there was nothing they could do, since the system only settled the bet after 13:00, meaning I didn’t qualify for the free bet.

I admit that I made a mistake—I should have spent more time in the morning to complete the requirement instead of leaving it to the last minute. Normally, my experience on Duckdice has been very good, but this particular promotion was quite disappointing.

I can’t help but think: come on, it was just $150 more to wager. Even if I had lost that bet, I still would have received a $4,800 free bet… sigh.

As a sports bettor, you should know it very well that none of the bets get settled within a blink. It takes a few seconds to a few minutes for the system to consider the bet as settled. Sportsbook won't consider your wager as valid until then. There was less than a minute available for the promo as the half-time finished at the 59th minute. Instead of blaming the sportsbook or provider as slow, you should have placed the bet earlier.

I am not supporting Duckdice or implying that you use it. They have had a good share of accusations here in the past, but if you are basing your decision not to play there just because the bets weren't settled within seconds, then gambling, specifically sports betting, is not for you.

It is a esport game provided by betby provider, I already played a lot in the last few weeks, and I know excactly how the settlement should be. It is always settled in few seconds after the result comes out, you can test it by yourself

I bet only esports and this has happened many times. Sometimes they are settled instantly sometime they take even an hour.this is with every type of bet , match/player props/halftime etc
