A simple step you can take is to increase your understanding. Only by understanding more can you avoid mistakes like that. Some topics related to wallets or phishing have been discussed previously. You just need to use your time to read and understand them. Prepare yourself first before you invest.

heyy everyone, i am new to Bitcoin and not expert, just learning. i saw many scams like ponzi, fake airdrops, and phishing links. how can i protect myself from these traps? please share real life examples you or others met and how you handled them. for example i scammed in bitcoin casino site.
well how you can protect yourself from this scams is by being extremely careful with how you deal with online wallet. any site that involves you to insert your seed phase is a phishing site. because it can be used to wipe away all your fund at once. so you better stay away from those sites. and secondly stay clear from investing in shitcoin majority of those pump and dump coin are just a honey pot. also i got confused with wallet seed words, i saved photo on phone is that bad? it is bad to save your seed phrase on you mobile phone, because it might be tampered with by anyone that has access to your phone. you just need to write it down and keep in a safe place. or you buy a crypto steel capsule.

You have to choose if you want to be a bitcoiner or you want to hunt for airdrops or you want to join Ponzi schemes. This is because bitcoin is different from the above. A bitcoiner knows what bitcoin is about and a bitcoiner knows what he wants. Find a way to invest in bitcoin and keep your seed phrase safe, you don't have much problems to solve. Before you saved the seed phrase as a photo on your phone, you must have received a warning from the wallet but choose to ignore it Concerning the telegram link you clicked, it seems you will learn better by experience. So, will you continue to click random links?
You don't have to write with red, black is okay and everyone will see and understand it

Sometimes huge mistake and error are been done because of the lack of failure to actually do research or learn thoroughly well in the space before actually taking the bold steps of investing but so many persons do it because of the words and sweet stories told from other persons.

From the look of things those are threats you've encountered which is expected that you must have got the knowledge on how to avoid them unless you don't find it them as threat or I should believe that you literally have no ideal about how to avoid them regarded that you're a beginner. But it's baffling how you claim to know all these as a beginner. However, to keep yourself off from scammers, avoid following media trends but do your research before buying a coin and don't entrust your security keys to third parties.

Ponzi are easy to identify, if it's too good to be true, that usually is, this is the same on airdrop. Although its a bit hard to say if an airdrop will become scam later, just make a little bit research of the team behind or what. Phishing links, is easy to identify as well, don't click links from email especially if you didn't initiate it like login, register, or account recovery, anything other than that could be potential phishing. Plus use adblocker like uBlock or use browsers with built in adblocker to avoid fake and sites on google ads that shows in the very top of the search results. looking different is also perfectly acceptable and should be respected. also i think, brown is a beautiful color.[/color]
So you just pick this color because it's interesting for you? Well, you can choose whatever color you want, but don't be surprised if it makes some people feel uncomfortable. After all, some people might feel tired reading colored text like this. If i were to OP i will stop using colored text, there are people who doesn't like it, if i remember correctly someone got red tagged due to this before.

So the easiest way to protect yourself and your assets from scammers is to avoid clicking on any websites or links that are shared with you or that you see somewhere and don't recognize. That's the beginning of the traps. Once you avoid it, the chances of being scammed will be less than 80%.
Secondly, don't save your seed phrase on your phone. If you lose your phone, you will also lose your wallet and won't be able to access your assets again.

First, why writing with a colour's effect? Don't you know it will likely disengage your post and make it look more childish when seen. Anyway that's by the way, bitcoin is an asset that's outstanding from others, it's a store of value over time, and it very decentralized in nature and has some many other great potential to enjoy. Though their are some many other ponzi schemes and others that seems real but could be disastrous later and am pretty sure you know them better. Therefore it's just for you to put greed aside and go for bitcoin which is better and safer else you fall victim.

OP, don't be discouraged. Unfortunately, there are many malicious people who try to take advantage of the unwary in crypto lately (this has always happened, but I would say that it is becoming more and more exaggerated), but as long as you only risk small amounts while you learn, over time, surely the benefits will outweigh the small losses you may have during learning.
So far, you've taken a big step in getting to this forum. Although you can still find users who are not trustworthy, like everywhere else, usually the most veteran users and those with better "Trust" will give you good advice, so I encourage you to learn from them.
You have actually made a very good points here, and these are exactly what kind of reality some beginners need to understand, because one of the mistakes some newbies are making is failing into victim of scam or early mistakes, which some times leads to discouragement or quit too quickly on time and also lose thier confidence. But the facts is, nothing in this life worthwhile always comes easy, and the learning process is one of the biggest challenges. However there's no need to feel discouraged here because you are in the right place to learn everything about bitcoin and grow higher in cryptocurrency space. Op, with due time, some experienced investor's guidance and patience here you will begin to understand everything better and you will be able to make a good decision as a beginner. Additionally, op you don’t need to rush and invest a huge amount of money into bitcoin investment journey immediately, the smartest method is to accumulating little by little by using the Dollar-Cost Averaging strategy, which allow you to accumulate gradually and helps reduces the risk market volatility over a period of time, this particular strategy can help you build your confidence as a newbie.

And if he accidentally clicks one because of his curiosity even if he's been told not to do it, he shouldn't sign and believe all of those messages that will pop like signing the transaction or by signing fill out forms for the free cryptos. There are a lot of tricks like that he might encounter because of his curiosity but he has to be careful with all of it so that he won't fall for those traps that are set for the people like him and even for the ones who's quite old in the community already.

also i got confused with wallet seed words, i saved photo on phone is that bad? i clicked a link in telegram and lost small amount, very sad. i want simple steps, not technical big words. The first thing to do which I consider basic is never to save your Bitcoin in the same device you use for your online stuffs. If you cannot get a hardware wallet, then store your Bitcoin in a separate device from the device you connect online to protect your money from phishing and other malware attacks. In addition to this, don't always click on links you don't trust and try not to get greedy in cryptocurrency, that is the greatest tool scammers use to get their victims. thank you for your message. You are right about the information you provided. i will consider the suggestions you made regarding Bitcoin storage.

No need to make all the post you make red. Anyway, not that it matters a lot so, let's go back to things about scams. Being knowledgeable about schemes that a scammer is using will help you detect scams like an offer that is too good to be true. Knowing which schemes will help you know if it's scam or not. Let's say phishing link, if you know about it then you will surely be wary about links and will stay away until it is proven to be safe and legit link before visiting the link or website.

The simplest way to avoid bitcoin scams and not be a victim is for you to gain an understanding. Don't rush into what you have no idea about; whatever you come across, try your best to verify and do research to be sure.
People who always fall into the hands of scammers are those who are ignorant, and scammers always take advantage of people like this. It is very important to understand that there is nothing free and to have the mindset of not expecting anything from anyone. If you are swayed by cheap offers from strangers on the Internet, then it is very easy to fall victim to scammers.

Well if you really don't want to get scam, stay away from opening emails, entertaining messages in telegram phone messages, telling you to invest or ask you about trading, this is the start of the scheme more often they are trying to make you comfortable talking to them, then they will slowly shift to their motives. If you have investment in your mind like buying bitcoin Ethereum, etc.,. focus on those things and don't deal with those messages, instead work on your skills on trading, etc.,

and when all these things are understood, the acquisition of knowledge should be one of the first step and you can even search for things like common scams in crypto and that way you will get ideas of things that you can aviod because of the problems that is at hand now is the fact that people are drawn by the money but they are not ready to work for it and that is were the problem is always coming from because if you understand how things work you can not be deceived. And they will need to know when things are not correct, and they will have to reject it, but some people will see it as an opportunity to explore, not knowing they are only setting a trap for themselves, and this is something they will need to avoid.

Can you stop this styling of post with color, why not use black default colors. You need to know that Bitcoin ≠ altcoins. There is no such thing as Bitcoin airdrop in this era of Bitcoin market, there used to be few of them back then but nobody do charity anymore, it's too valuable to be airdrop unless you do some online jobs and probably get paid with Bitcoin. Basic Bitcoin scams are easy to avoid, first rule back your seed phrase and never ever share it with anyone. If you can embrace it, even the most tech person can't scam you if they don't have access to your seed phrase, private keys, secondly, don't be greedy, it will lead you to things you don't expect, that's said. If you are gong to make Bitcoin investment in large quantities, please get a cold storage. They are better and safer and they protect your keys from the internet. If you do this and the above simple trick, you will be fine and not have any problems from any scammer.

First of all, I welcome you to this Bitcoin forum. To stay safe in the Bitcoin forum and to keep yourself free from various scams, always be careful. Remember that no one will ever give you anything without effort and without conditions. When you are tempted to give Bitcoin or other crypto without effort, you must understand that someone is trying to cheat you or someone is trying to harm you.
Therefore, always be careful and do not be confident in anyone's words and actions. Because no one will ever give you money in a short time and without effort. If someone from social media like Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube shows you a lot of greed and promises to make you rich quickly in a short time, never believe in their promises and do not do as they say. You will see that you will be safe.

In simple terms we shouldn't let greed be our focus for investment. Most emails and telegram chats comes with juicy offers that looks too fake to be real. No true investment has a short term ROI that is huge. It's even best to delete any telegram messages that tries to introduce investments opportunities. They most times start without suspicion and strike once they have gained enough trust from their victims. Scamming this days has even upgraded they now monitor users activities then try to come up with a scam pattern that best suits their victims.
