Match fixing does happen in sports, maybe not in the top leagues but it does happen a lot in local or smaller leagues. A few years ago, there was a popular scandal of match fixing ring in cricket. It’s not so difficult to do, they just need to get a key player to change the outcome of the game.

I agree with some people here who say that sports betting can still be manipulated. Even if we realize it, we tend to accept it because it only happens once or a few times across several matches. For example, you might watch a football match where a player clearly should be penalized for a handball, but the referee decides it is not a foul. We only can tell about how many times it has happened based on the few times of finding out something as such happened, what about those that were not caught in the act. We have multiple of them, only few get exposed that is the reason we may think it is not much happening. Is possible ro identify a rigged game especially in a football, we can identify it if a particular team losses matches up 8 or more than in a row, beause there's no how a team will keep losing matches up to 8 without a single draw even a relegation teams will try as much to a one win or draw. In 2019 a man living in London sent 10 full time draw games to his friend and said he should play those game he sent to him, that the games was given to him by one white man but unfortunately the guy didn't play games. Yes sport games can also be rigged, I think other sport actives can also be rigged especially those sports that people usually bet on, but I have only seen this happening in sport game. I believe games are rigged including sports betting. You can imagine how sometimes a big team will loose match to a small team, this doesn't  happen so often, but sometimes it does. For instance do you understand it is prohibited for a player to place bet against his own match? Most of the fixing cases that have been exposed so far have been in leagues. I think the big bookies who are directly involved in the fixing activities have more control over the rinks, so they can easily influence a team or a player on the team to change the outcome of the match.
