[PROJECT][ALPHA] BitHome.site — Bitcoin-Referenced Market Timing, Omega-Based Live Settlement Testing

BitHome is a Nostr-based market protocol for property listings, deal coordination, settlement logic, and escrow design.

This is not an altcoin launch thread.

What is already verified live:

* Omega rent settlement works
* contact unlock payments work
* non-custodial 2-of-3 escrow works end-to-end
* confirmation / reorg / policy / orchestration logic is already running on top

The core design idea is simple:
BitHome uses Bitcoin’s block cadence as the business timing reference, while Omega is currently used as a live execution and settlement test environment.

Timing model

At target cadence:

* Bitcoin: 96 blocks ≈ 16 hours
* Omega: 960 blocks ≈ 16 hours

This gives BitHome a shared nominal 16-hour epoch model across both environments, so settlement windows, review windows, release timing, payout windows, dispute windows, and deal expiration can all be expressed in one runtime timing language.

This is runtime logic only.
No Bitcoin consensus changes.
No Omega consensus changes.
No fork.

Why Omega is being used right now

Omega currently gives BitHome:

* faster block cadence
* live settlement testing
* multisig escrow capability
* masternode / quorum visibility
* practical feedback from real runtime conditions

That makes it a useful proving ground for settlement, escrow, watcher logic, and orchestration before pushing the Bitcoin-facing architecture further.

What BitHome is not doing

* not modifying Bitcoin consensus
* not modifying Omega consensus
* not inserting market logic into chain validation
* not treating Omega as a replacement for Bitcoin

BitHome is an application-layer protocol and settlement coordination system.

Current status

Still alpha.

Already real:

* live settlement tests
* live unlock tests
* live non-custodial escrow proof
* backend policy / orchestration
* dashboard and viewer integration

Still in progress:

* harder admin settlement surface
* better end-user escrow UX
* signer handoff flow
* migration of live Omega runtime to 0.20.x
* further Bitcoin-facing refinement

Why I’m posting this here

Because the project is fundamentally about Bitcoin-referenced market timing and settlement coordination, not about launching another altcoin product.

Omega is currently the live proving ground.
Bitcoin is the timing reference.

If there is interest, I can post follow-ups on:

* the 96 / 960 / 2016 timing model
* the escrow flow
* the watcher / policy / settlement architecture
* the Omega 0.20.x migration path
