Altcoins to invest in for long-term return?

Bitcoin is one the most profitable crypto currency in history cause the value it has amount to over the years is so massive and can't be matched with any other crypto currency, basically even some stock and commodities. Take gold for example, gold was way in existence before Bitcoin came into play, but the value of Bitcoin has beaten gold tremendously. I am currently looking for altcoins that could have a good future potential just like Bitcoin, as I plan on buying them to hold into the future for great future profit. Do you have any suggestions? About the altcoins to hold in long term, I can not give you an advise on it as ethereum only a little went above the previous all-time high and fell back to the price it is today.

You mean price and not value. If you are referring to market value, no assets like gold as it has the highest marketcap in the world. But in price, due to very low marketcap of bitcoin to gold, its price surpassed gold price.

To me, it's hard to find a coin that has the potential to be like Bitcoin.
However, I have been monitoring Tron since the beginning of this year, and it seems it is still bullish and still has the potential to pump more. Even if BTC is currently bearish, Tron is pumping, and there's a possibility to increase to a new higher high this coming April.

I am also interested in HyperLiquid, which recently broke the downtrend and switched to an uptrend, which is against the BTC price movement but I'm not sure yet about this I am more confident with TRX than HYPE.

I wouldn't go that much for altcoins that are new, so I am sticking the most popular ones that I already have and these are the top altcoins. I'm staying on them and if I have some more money that I won't need in the nearest future, I'll buy them continually;

Altcoins don't offer the same potential of Bitcoin to investors. With the exception of ETH, which has been performing in top 2 for a long time already, you can see the others are too unstable. And that is mainly due to the fact they are driven by hype, without offering any solid reasons for adopters to stick with them on long run. They are speculative copies of Bitcoin which don't really have a practical usecase.

Investors who acquire altcoins have different goals and expectations compared to investors who invest in Bitcoin. If you are looking for something like Bitcoin, you should simply invest on it.

To be honest, investing to bitcoin when bitcoin was still low market cap was as dangerous as investing to some promising altcoin now. There wasn't any guarantees with bitcoin at the start, just like there's no guarantees now with any of the low market cap altcoins.

If someone is looking for high reward / risk ratio like bitcoin had in the start, so they would benefit from such a rise, it's the risk and uncertainty they should bet on. Against all the warnings from rest of the people. But they should accept the likely loss that comes with that, like early bitcoin investors did.

I can't give any cryptocurrency that can be said to be a good form of investment; if you do research, you will know which are the top altcoins in this industry, and Bitcoin is already a given. Now, if you are going to allocate a return of profit that is good for the future in Bitcoin, the chances are actually higher in Bitcoin if you can save a large value of Bitcoin.

Usually, because of every halving of bitcoin, its price in the crypto market is increased by 3x to 4x. Unlike other top altcoins, usually the price value is increased by 3x up to 10x or more, though the risk is higher compared to bitcoin. These are the facts that I have seen in my stay here for several years in this industry.

Probably only Ethereum, HyperLiquid or Bitsensor

Ethereum because it is still the king of altcoins and has remained relevant across several cycles.

HyperLiquid because it appears to be the only outlier altcoin project from the last crypto bull market cycle.

Oh... And Bitsensor because this is the era of AI and Bitsensor is easily the single largest crypto <>AI  project in the space and the recent price growth in this shitty market has proven that.

Other than that, nothing else is interesting.

I don't think you will able to get return as big as bitcoin when you investing in the top mcap altcoins. So the only possible solution to invest in the low cap altcoins. I can only suggest you Canton Coin.

It's better than XRP. It has VISA, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, or even Circle become their backers. This RWA blockchain is also processing more than 300b daily repo volume on its blockchain.

However it's still being priced far below XRP. So we can still expect each CC to worth the same as XRP in the future. It means there are still 14x possible grow.

Beside that if you're looking for massive ROI like what Bitcoin gave. It's only possible to achieve it through alts(meme)

I'm sorry but if you're looking for a long term return that could potentially match bitcoin, I even doubt there is one. Ethereum is the biggest altcoin yet failed to match or out perform bitcoin. Ethereum price was still below 2021 ATH.

If you held Ethereum for 5 years and buy at around ATH, you're losing right now. The same thing happened with XRP and Solana with an exception of BNB because this coin is flagship of binance.
From those data, you could a simple conclusion that altcoin really don't go well for long term holding. I'd recommend to just buy bitcoin instead. The analogy about bitcoin overtaking gold isn't really good analogy for altcoin.

Right now, I don’t see anything besides Ethereum. Maybe if there comes a time when I feel we’re in a bull market, I might consider investing in some altcoins with potential for surprises, but right now, I don’t see anything besides Ethereum. At one point, I had high expectations for BNB, but today I don’t think it’s such a great idea. It’s also important to note that whether it’s a long-term or short-term investment, it must be made at the right time to generate returns. Otherwise, the market may not meet our expectations. For example, even those who buy gold today might earn less than many other investment instruments at the end of the next five years...

I'd be a bit careful comparing altcoins to bitcoin. Bitcoin grew the way it did because it was first, simple and built strong trust over time. Most altcoins don't have the same foundation.

If you're looking for long-term holds, it helps to look beyond hype. Check if the project is actually being used, if the team is still building, and it solves a real problem. A lot of coins look promising in bull runs but slowly fade when the hype is gone. Also, one thing people learn the hard way is that many altcoins don't recover after a cycle. Some never reach their old highs again.

A more realistic approach is to treat altcoins as higher risk and not expect them to behave like bitcoin. Picking a few solid ones is fine, but it's good to stay cautious and not rely only on future hype.
