If you really want to hold for a long time then the option are very few. Bitcoin is the real king for making big bet with the least fear of going zero. And among altcoin only Ethereum has the strength to survive in the market. Because it is ahead in term of smart contract, staking and investment by large institution

Whatever is left whether it is BNB, Solana or XRP it is a big risk. Most altcoin go into the trash when the hype end

What I do myself I keep 90% of my investment in Bitcoin. Remaining 10% in Ethereum but that is also optional. Beyond that whatever you do it is better to call it gambling rather than investing

Why are you selecting altcoins for big profits in the future? Many of them have given good returns before but taking that kind of risk is not really necessary when you can invest in Bitcoin(DCA), which is more stable and can still bring you better gains over time.

Based on previous experience, some of the coins you mentioned have also been successful in my long-term investments. At least, there are several factors that support this and have helped me make decent profits.

1. BNB -> The most popular altcoin that I also want to invest in for the long term. It has a high probability of soaring again like last year's bullish run. It's also the most popular altcoin to rise and reach a new ATH.

2. XRP -> If XR falls below $1 again, I'll start investing again in the future.

3. ETH -> Although the increase isn't as significant, this coin is still one of my favorites for the long term.

That is the risk of investing in altcoin, and we have to accept it as a tradeoff when investing in them for the long term. But do not overstate their risks, ETH has been around for at least 13 year and XRP for over 12 year. They are also receiving investment from major Wall Street funds and being applied in businesses...The top altcoins are completely different from the rest of the altcoin market.

Despite the fact that it is not a financial advice, got these coins you mentioned has standout for some time now; they have been active for very long term and have good investors that can be relied on; therefore, when looking for other investment apart from Bitcoin investment, any of these coins are good for long term investment purpose, but don’t feel too relaxed because altcoins can’t be completely trusted.

You can as well add Solana to the list, the project has been very strong  since its existence, and the it has good price recovery potential when the market is fluctuating, it bounce back as quick as possible. It is also a good option for long term investment.

Since the intention for investing on altcoins was to make profit, I will advise that we see to the fact that we have enough solid evidence to where we must invest on a particular coin for a long time duration, this is not something we can just make a decision without trying to avoid any coin dam may cost us the risk of losing our investment at the end when the coin poorly performed unexpectedly.

The dashboard lets you track revenue of crypto projects and how it may affect their tokens (via buybacks or/and burns).
I believe it helps one figure what altcoins are more likely to guarantee capturing value in the future as well as spotting projects with surging revenues before the crowd catches up.

If you are a risk taker as an altcoins investor, your risk might make profit for you but this does not happen everytime for you to think that you can be making consistent profits from investing in altcoins. There are some altcoins you might put your money and you could end up losing money due to wrong investments. Not all projects are going to make you profitable that is why it's good for you to make proper selection of your investment.

Many altcoins are garbage, since they're utterly-centralized by design. It's this reason why Bitcoin is always at the top, while alts are left behind in the dust. And frankly, XRP is a bad as any other centralized "shitcoin". Worse than Binance Chain and the Base Network.

Investors want something reliable they can "trust" for generations. Centralized coins don't fit the bill quite nicely. Only Bitcoin does. Altcoin season has been long overdue, anyways. I wouldn't expect it to make a comeback for a long time. Just my two sats.

In fact most altcoin is designed to die down within 2 years so devs can do clean exit. I've long abandoned investing into altcoin that doesn't have product market fit, the one that generated high valuation out of pure hype because they will lose their value over the years.

Forget about investing in it and getting capital gain, 3 months after token generation event, most altcoins already lose 50% of their value. That's why cliff vesting token distribution is like death sentence for anyone buying ICOs. Everybody know even 3 month lock means the coin getting down drastically.

bitcoins can always be the top priority but even top rated altcoins can be held in our portfolio for a couple of years. Bitcoins might surely grow in future which also means that these altcoins will grow as well. I am only talking about top rated altcoins here and not low cap coins. I would still recommend new investors to check those top rated altcoins as they might sometimes give bigger profits as compared to bitcoins. I guess that is the reason why many people prefer investing in altcoins even if they have had loss in the past.

Price for bitcoins is already on peak which makes it difficult to purchase a whole bitcoin. That also cut short our profits which is the reason why I would suggest you keep an eye on the altcoins as well. Opportunity will never knock twice so let's not keep any regrets in future.

If bitcoin succeeds, altcoins will follow so I think your primary choice should be bitcoins. Yes, you can consider investing in altcoins as well but let's not forget the risk it might bring on table. I think people like you who are newly starting their journey should first consider bitcoins as their primary investment and only move towards altcoins once you see profits coming along from your bitcoin investment. If you do not see profits, you are doing something wrong and will have to start from square one.

The reason I think bitcoin is the best choice for you is because speculating and analysing the markets will be much easier when investing just in bitcoins. If you go for altcoins, you will have to increase your screen time for research and analysis.

If you still want to invest in altcoins, I recommend you consider checking top rated coins like ETH, SOL, BND, KCS, etc as these coins bear the potential to make you earn good profits. But again, the success for these coins depends on bitcoins.
