will ethcoin transition to its own gas fee model fee by utilizing ethc as a gas fee for mining? in the future?
im looking to mine some but had a question in thought to see if you could answer this
i know that ethc needs to use eth but would it be possible for ethc to operate individually without the necessary eth gas fee, in future?
could this be a future roadmap for ethcoin?
and could there be in the future any sort of proof of work implementation etc. to get the source of funds by hardware mining first then second to using the randomized lottery software mining to earn more but which has a different value or tier grouping of some sort?
For now we’re keeping ETH as the only cost to mine. If we required ETHC as a mining fee it would create a barrier for new miners — right now anyone with a bit of ETH can jump in and start mining.
As for proof of work — we’ve thought about it, but that would essentially be a different project. Ethcoin’s core design is intentionally simple: burn gas, get a chance to win. Adding hardware mining would change the nature of what Ethcoin is.

ETHCOIN TEAMokay thanks understood thanks (:
we could extend that idea to another blockchain though, like connecting ethc usage with a another/newer blockchain with proof of work involved.
so it has a formula of proof of work on another blockchain which is totally it's own version of coin and blockchain (lets call it ethcoin0) which will interact with ethcoin.
so it's like building an ecosystem around ethc
but this is just an idea
and i really do like ethcoin it has potential
but a central processing unit - cpu, is useful too (:
