I also find it difficult to understand, but if what you said here is what his trying to say means it’s not guaranteed, having rich friends sometimes doesn’t increase your net worth , most friends that are from rich home and are highly connected, just want people they can use , you may view them as friends while they don’t see it that way , unless those with good heart that want to elevate your life , those are the once that can link you to good opportunities and connections, so having a mindset that if I have a rich friend I’m automatically rich, you may end you broken, so  don’t take anything personally, just vibe and if  the opportunity comes too , good for you .

The answer is NO.  That alone does not validate your net worth increasing. For the resourceful friends to be drawn to you, you must be a person of value and have something positive to contribute to them for which they would pick you up and patronize your service and that in turn increases your net worth, else you would be just a servant in their midst, a waste of their time and they would never value their association with you.
