Most of the time, I see people blaming capitalism for the world's situation. I see it on the forum, I see it on social media and even on the news. But is capitalism really the cause of the world being shit today? If the whole world had other economic systems, would it be better than it is today? How about countries that use other economic systems? Are they perfect?

The world is in a mess because the government that is supposed to make sure the world is in order is a mess itself. So if the government are that bad, how do you think the world would be if they had control of everything?
Capitalism does not take away oversight, supervision or regulation. The government has the power to make sure things are done fairly, but they are too corrupt or incompetent to do anything about it, so this gives the big corporations opportunities to make more money out of the system.
Socialism won't take away inequality as they claim. If you doubt, you can check how equal the people in socialist societies are. Let's not even talk about the final form of socialism. communism because that only works in theory, it is not practical at all.

It shouldn't matter if one person has more money than everyone else combined, as long as he made the money legally and ethically. It's a free world, and people should be allowed to use their brains to whatever capacity they want as long as they don't trample on other people's human rights or do unethical things. At no point in the history of mankind have we been equal financially, so this is not an unnatural thing.
The problem is not billionaires owning most of the world's money; the problem is the government not trying to make people's lives better. They can't control inflation, and they can't find ways to make sure jobs are created. If the Government of all the countries in the world actually focused on making the lives of their citiens better, the world would be a better place even with capitalism as the economic system.

I prefer capitalism because great nations all over the world are mostly capitalist countries. In a country, anyone can be rich as you can see anyone that is poor can become rich later in life. But what I do not like is United State trying to influence other countries to do what they are doing. An example is Cuba which is a socialist or a communist country, but see how Donald Trump is pressuring the country. He arrested Maduro in Venezuela and tell the women there now in Venezuela not to ship oil to Cuba. Until recently that I heard Russia is shipping oil to Cuba.

there’s really no country that’s not affected by capitalism. even the developing countries are somewhat affected by the capitalism from all the first world countries. it’s now hard to imagine a life outside of capitalism. it’s either you fight off capitalism or you survive in this world.

Of course the problem most of the country and state is having today is Government, if government could do the right thing without being corrupt then I think the country would be a better place to live. Of course anyone can be Rich in a country but then they wouldn't be that allowed to make use of their money free because they think such wealth is gotten from illegal way, someone who is born poor today may likely grow up and make discovery then become rich overnight due to their personal finding or how they got their wealth. Capitalism have it's own share of the problem it creates in the world, I would have agree with you if you'd say capitalism contributes to the problem but saying that it is not the problem at all makes me to disagree because some of the private individuals and businesses that controls the production and supply of the product needs by consumers are corrupt as well, they spike the price of their products if the demand spikes as well. Because they are in control of their resources and everything, they decide how much they will pay for labour and mind you, some of them pay very low and if you are not willing to take their offer, they will tell you to fuck off and in an economy where some people are desperate to get a job, you will find most people accepting very poor offer from some companies. That's not all, these private individuals also decides how much they will sell their products and because of greed to make excessive profit, they neglect the income of people and still spike the price of their products. I'm not saying that capitalism is bad, but some corrupt businesses are being too greedy.

Capitalism forces high price of goods on people as long as they are willing to pay, I traveled to country far from home and I discovered that a products that the price is so high in my country is sold at a very cheap price in that country meanwhile this same product is from the same company that is operating in my country and in my country, this company is getting all the raw materials to produce that products and yet the price is so high here in my country that the other country I went to. Do you know why it's so? That's because the demand is high here in my country and also the people are willing to pay the price.

There is a constant tug of war going on behind the scenes in capitalism and the fact that we drift ever closer towards corporatism and favoring the capture of billionaires is inevitable. People in such a system are inevitably swayed by money and even if they are super honest or not corrupted, then obstacles get worked around when it comes to big business. Constant consolidation and buy outs leave you with heartless mega corporations which seek only to benefit themselves regardless of costs to society. Politicians and lawmakers do have this role, but often people in the first category are not selfless people but those seeking power (which in many cases is bad). Lower level politicians can also receive all kinds of promises after their rather short lived careers run out, in return for doing favors that benefit certain powerful interests. The whole setup requires a lot of fortitude to fight back against money but it appears the majority of governments are losing this battle steadily.

Donald Trump knew about it and he was the person that approved it just like he also approved India to begin importing oil from Russia again. He was trying to reduce the effect of Iran war on oil price rise is part of the major reasons.

if you look at countries that have developed fast in recent years, many of them have leaders with a capitalist mindset. Take some Middle Eastern countries for example, they may have kings or monarchies, but their policies still support business, investment and growth, which is more like capitalism. So the issue is not really the system itself, but how it is managed. If leaders put the right structures in place and focus on improving people’s lives, the system can work well. But if there is poor leadership or corruption, even the best system won’t give good results.

The competition it creates is a big driver of growth because in a move of each company trying to do better and be better, they are pushing growth in the economy and improving the standard of living. Honestly you're right capitalism has affected so many countries or let me say it has spread everywhere but that don't mean that life has only one way, even with the capitalism people still finds way to balance with the help of community support, government welfare and with the help of cooperatives. Beforehand we must realize that no economic system is perfect, all of them have their own shortcomings.
What I hate about capitalism is those who monopolize when they have the upper hand, it will be easy for them to intervene in society and even the state for their personal or group interests without seeing others, in this sense capitalism looks very bad because it is able to have greater power than the law and the state.

Capitalism is the main engine that drives development because it gives an individual who has the mental capacity to make his or her ideology into reality, even when they don't have enough capital they get loan to finance the idea that they have. Countries that have really crossed the line of bondage into development thrive in capital because of the freedom of pursuing your dream of inventory and right to it royalty.

The problem is not billionaires owning most of the world's money; the problem is the government not trying to make people's lives better. They can't control inflation, and they can't find ways to make sure jobs are created. You are right because it is the government that makes policy for both rich and poor. Whatever they decide is what goes into the economy as policy for all. They should be able to make the less privileged in the society to have good life by providing social amenities, providing access to loan for businesses that will create micro economy. The billionaires in capitalist society play a huge role by creating jobs and support systems for the government but it is the government that should provide the enabling environment and regulations for the system to work and reducing inflation through good policy.

Are you sure about that? Some people become rich, which translates into some people to become poor. Although, I think this how life is but I do not see capitalism driving development. As long as people are existing, any form of government should bring development if there are good but also competent leader. See Africa as examples, their leaders are not good but they are capitalist countries and they are among the third world countries with no sign of any of them stepping up to become a first world countries. Not even second world countries but they are capitalist and they are third world.

The thing is that every system of Government have their faults whether it's Communism or socialism ( where citizens are poor but the leaders and their friends gain massive wealth) and Capitalism where there's human abuse and unfairness. But in Capitalism there's a lot of opportunities to grab as long as you aren't lazy, someone can easily become rich in a capitalist system unlike Communism or socialism. What also kill capitalism is when the governments and Oligarchies are corrupt, so rules and regulations or policies won't work on them. So the real issue is how the system is managed. Well, many countries have developed rapidly but behind that development is not only the capitalist mentality but also strong planning, long term vision, and proper use of resources. In the case of some countries, natural resources or geographical advantages have also helped a lot, which does not apply to everyone in the same way. For example Singapore is not very rich in natural resources, but they have developed a lot due to good leadership, clear policies, and a business friendly environment. On the other hand, our Nigeria has a lot of oil here, but it could not develop in that way due to corruption and weak management, So I think that if there is only good leadership, everything will be fine this is not entirely true. Without capitalism, people wouldn't even have this forum to complain about capitalism at all. Actually, this discussion is nonsense from the past 2010's. It's a trend to be a capitalism hater among youngs and elders who didn't reach maturity. From every systems presented, the concept of capitalism is the one which better works for society. It only doesn't work superiorly, because it's ran by wicked and pervert human beings who don't have any compromise with common good, rather they focus solely on personal gains and benefits while abusing everyone else in order to thrive.

Nothing is going to be perfect in this world, though. If perfection exists somewhere, it's beyond this reality and can't be achieved in a lifetime. What we can is to try reaching closest as possible to that ideal through our daily actions and behaviors.

One thing people need to understand is that the Cold War is over. The US currently doesn't really care about socialist or capitalist government. What they care about right now is a party that will be allies with them or at least do business in a way that will benefit them. A country can be socialist, but if they are allies wit the US, then there will be no problem from the US. Venezuela and Cuba have governments that were opposing the US. The US was (is) not against them because of their political ideology; they're against them because they refuse to bend to the will of the US.
Even as Cuba is a socialist, one-party system country, if they become pro-US, the US would have no issue with them.

Socialist countries do allow small businesses to be on their own. I think many Nigerians that you are talking about fall under that. They can still do their businesses. I do not think any system of government can work in Nigeria just because of the bad leader.

Gaddafi of Libya made Libya self-styled socialist country but the citizens of Libya during his time had longest life expectancy in Africa and high in the world. They had good standards of living during his time. What that matters are leaders.
