Can anyone explain how Bitcointalk ₿ forum converted to dollars $ forum?

Today I logged my Bitcoin Talk ₿ account and was a bit surprised.
The dollar is being used instead of Bitcoin, and Dollar symbol has been added to the user rating.

I’m  confused about this type of change . As we know, the dollar is Normally ( USD) the national currency of the (USA) United States, although it also Important as a major part in the global oil market and Global economy as a patro dollar.

 Recently, especially with tensions like the Ira situation, there have even been discussions about alternatives such as the petro-dollar or the use of other currencies like the Chinese yuan.

Given this context, doesn’t using the dollar symbol and name on Bitcoin Talk suggest some level of support for the US dollar?

We generally think of Bitcoin as a global store of value. So couldn’t a different name have been used instead of “dollar”? For example: “Global Currency,” “World Wealth,” “People’s Currency,” or “Public Value/Currency.”

If it wasn’t possible to keep the name Bitcoin, then why was the dollar name and symbol chosen?

You are a newbie, let me tell you what is happening. It is April fool's day. Just take anything happening today on the forum not to be true if you see them not true kind of. We have April fool's day on this forum where people just prank people. Admin also like to prank members. You can also see the forum changed to green, it is all part of it. You might have been sleeping for too long; a few hours ago, Trump and his military might have invaded the Bitcointalk forum, and power was forced out of the hands of themos, and the forum is now fully centralized. Everything that has to do with the now should be based on USD; there is no more Bitcoin forum. What we have now is a dollar forum, and if you are caught repeatedly praising Bitcoin and discrediting the dollar, which is the king, you will get banned.

It happens every 1st April of every year.
Last year, bitcoin was chosen, that was why you met bitcoin.
This year, dollar is chosen and you will keep seeing the dollar forum till 1st April 2027, by then, another currency such as Nigerian Naira could also be chosen.

The DT members vote to choose which currency to be used. The vote is conducted in the DT board that is not visible to Jr members.

I missed it but that happens on each 1st April, the admin theymos enjoys April and always does that April fool trick to members for entertainment purpose. Last year I remember the merit poker thing and that was also quite awesome and members noticed it that on 1st April such things happens but those aren't part of the forum, they're for fun and entertainment purpose. Everyone has to laugh and theymos knows how to make others laugh on 1st April.
