First of all, I must apologise for posting such a serious topic on the 1st of April, but I've had it as a draft for a while and today is the day.

Tonight, I would like to bring what in some circles has been recognised as 'hidden epidemic' - Neurotoxicity caused by excess of Vitamin B6.
Don't get it wrong - Vitamin B6 is absolutely crucial, but the RDA is just 1.3mg and the half life is about a MONTH!. So your body doesn't get rid of the excess as efficiently as with other water-soluble vitamins.

Now where it gets interesting: many multivitamin supplements contain 100mg of B6 per a pill, which is almost a hundred times more than RDA! Furthermore, many foods and drinks are fortified with vitamins nowadays, which usually includes B6. Usually that would be cereals, protein bars and powders, electrolyte drinks and energy drinks and more.

I've been dealing with B6 toxicity for months (and unknowingly - for years) and as I've been researching the matter I was astonished by how many people are affected by it, and whas is even more scary - how many don't even know that their symptoms are caused by it

Australia seems to be the only nation to be seriously alarmed by it so far as I've not seen any other states to take actions but we can see the Aussies are feeling very serious about it:

Vitamin B6 toxicity cases prompt supplements to be restricted - ABC news Australia

Vitamin B6 crisis will persist despite new rules, expert warns - The University of Sydney

Some more awareness from MSM:

What is vitamin B6 toxicity and what are the symptoms of taking too much? - Guardian

Simon never linked the pain in his hands and feet to multivitamins – but a pathology test did
This article is more than 1 year old
A growing number of consumers are presenting with symptoms linked to high levels of vitamin B6, pathologists say, while the supplement industry goes unpoliced

Vitamin B6 toxicity is more likely to develop among dehydrated individuals, which means people who sweat a lot or drink too much water without adequate sodium intake are seriously at risk.
Many cases of so-called ''Long COVID" turned out to be B6 toxicity that was asymptomatically present before the acute respiratory disease and started manifesting after severe dehydration caused by the severe respiratory infection.

Remember, health is the ultimate wealth. If you take multivitamin supplements, consume protein bars or shakes, drink energy or sports drinks - count how much vitamin B6 you consume daily and if it has been significantly above the RDA, maybe you should get your levels in blood tested.

https://understandingb6toxicity.com/ is possibly the most complete database of everything related to B6 toxicity. WARNING: the site also sells some supplement products. It is NOT an advertisement and if anything, I strictly advise AGAINST purchasing supplements from brands without long history and impeccable reputation worldwide.

I'm not a medical specialist and there are online communities with more experienced people, however, if you are dealing with it as well and need someone to talk to, my DMs are always open for you.

I find RDA highly misleading.
Some of us don't need vitamins or minerals, other need a bunch of it.
In Vitamin D3 RDA is way off, Vitamin A and 3 too. At least for me and my family RDA is way off.

I get you. RDAs are just broad averages, it is not not personalized targets.

To dig more genetics and lifestyle make a huge difference, so most people do better listening to their own lab results rather than generic charts.

https://verifiedsupplementdata.com/vitamin-b6/dosage-guide/

so maybe you can do the max number  which is 100 mg day after day

or maybe 50 mg day after day

or maybe 25 mg day after day

bear in mind the minimum is 1.3-1.7mg

so lets say you need more 3mg

a peach is 0.1
a carrot is 0.1
a beef burger of 4 oz is 0.6
4 oz of chicken breast is 0.9 to 1.0
4 oz of pork is 0.7

so 1 meal of chicken, carrots and a peach gives you about 1.2mg

breakfast with 2 eggs is 0.2

add 2 slices of wheat toast for 0.2 more

and 2 meals gave you 1.6mg

a bowl of rice is 0.1 more

add an apple for 0.1 more and you are at 1.8

3 typical meals in many countries

add a centrum daily adult it has 2.0 and you are at 3.8 which is no where near a top level of 100mg or 25mg to be safe.

I think people run into trouble with a B6 only pill

https://www.amazon.com/Best-Naturals-Vitamin-250-Tablets/dp/B00MQ2MOP4/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?

this links to a 50mg pill .

So if you are sensitive this may be too much for you.

and if you do it day after day it may build up over a few months time.
