Is prediction market fun? I have been on prediction market since some days now, but I do not see it as fun, all I was looking for is just money. I have been winning all the events that I am predicting and it is basically about bitcoin daily price prediction, but the money earned is small and I know I can lose it in just one day. I have used $50 to earn 3 to $8 daily but it can not be as expected all the time.

How about you, are you using the prediction market for money making or just for fun or both? I still make sure that I risk wisely and I am not using more than $50 for each bet.

Compared to traditional gambling and betting, prediction markets are the latest trend in the world of betting. You see loads of people placing bets on polymarket about things that are set to happen or what a famous person might say. For example, yesterday I heard about a guy who, two years ago, bet on a prediction market that Italy wouldn’t qualify for the world cup; he staked 200 usd and won nearly 15,000 usd, a much better return than the traditional odds offered by bookmakers.

Don't think I will try prediction markets. I just prefer betting, especially on sports, which is more familiar to me. Gambling is always fun when you are winning but your mindset before staking also matters too. Going into prediction just because you need money can be frustrating because your expectation will be higher. Prediction markets will likely favour those top governments since they are insider and get information more easily.

I have not make use of the prediction market but I have checked Polymarket and there are different things or events to predict. And it s only Polymarket which I know that is a prediction website. And coming to the understanding of the events it is not a gambling site so there is no fun in the prediction market because it is purely for profit making.

It is true that the prediction market doesn't really looks like it is a fun stuff, it is somewhat basically on profit making by those who are deeply rooted into it. It is not as fun as sports betting though and it is quite different from the rest of the other betting and gambling platforms because this cut across all happenings and event's in the world and only those who are likely in the know based on tips on information can be able to get something out of it.

If you look at the numbers, platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi have a very low success rate  only about 3–4% of traders end up consistently profitable, at the same time, a much larger share - roughly 70% - end up losing money. That already tells you a lot about how difficult is this space.
So in reality, the chances of being consistently profitable are quite low. It’s not an easy market where you can just come in and make money.

The prediction market is almost the same as gambling, the results of which are almost always negative, only in the prediction market there are many variations that we can do to bet, because not everyone likes sports, some like politics, in my experience, I still lose, I am more comfortable to gamble directly

Research shows that only about 3% to 5% of sports bettors are in profit. It seems that wins in all gambling platforms might be within that range. Some people will tell you that they prefer placing bets on prediction platforms because it favours them. And I agree because if people are not winning, these platforms will not be experiencing increased users.

I've ever used it for months, but i never touched it since then. The thing tiat i don't like from the prediction market is that it's not all of market has deep liquidity. So it's gonna give us a huge spread when we're going out from the market when there is no deep liquidity on it.

Beside that if we are talking about the bitcoin price prediction, why don't we do future, which much more simple instead of using prediction market?

Making 100% roi from futures is farrrrr easy compared to prediction market by using 100x leverage. Just one percent spread will give us 100% return.

Price predictions are cool especially when you are actively monitoring daily prices and analyzing the trend.
I like betting on price predictions and have tried it in freebitco.in back then but haven't tried polymarket yet.
I will try it though, not anytime sooner but surely in the future when I have enough money to spend on betting.

This is not even about the amount used to bet prediction markets, but the risk to the chances of winning it is very small, so many gamblers don't consider playing such, I don't think I even found it interesting for fun and I would rather prefer sportsbet when I'm interested in making money from gambling than prediction market.

But why are many gamblers not going after it then, since we have a number of them interesting in making money by chasing after losses in gambling.

People have different choices and what they like, so the fun of prediction market subjective because most people likes is while some don't. I don't like to use prediction market because I feel more comfortable using my favorite bookies and than when I want to predict crypto price, I rather just trade on the exchange I normally trade the futures market. Prediction market is not an investment platform which brings sustainable income, it's a source of fun and catch some luck, so even of someone wins their prediction there, they could still lose it if they don't withdraw.

Am still finding it hard to use the predictions market because I am so used to sportsbetting and the knowledge I have about the predictions market makes me see it as a platform mainly for political betting against other people's opinions.
I don't see it as a better option to sportsbetting perhaps because I have made more profit from even cashout options and straight wins as compared to the predictions market where I doubt there's the cash out options to boost my chances of not running at a total loss.

There are some gambles that are indeed quite entertaining and I do this for fun but it cannot be denied that in the end this kind of condition will be seen as naive when we talk about money and gambling.

Making a profit is obviously a priority so what we do including in the prediction market must also be considered carefully so that what we do does not become a loss and make us stressed because we lose the money we have in our wallet.
So in the end even though there is entertainment because some bets are sometimes quite interesting but we have to think about the effects that we will feel in the end so that it remains on the initial focus where gambling is as long as we are ready to lose regardless of whether we are in the slot or in the prediction market because in the end what we do is still the same, gambling.

You are using $50 to earn 3-8 dollars, and you could lose your $50 if your prediction are wrong, what is the odds of your prediction to give you 3-8 dollars a day.
It will take you a long time to make the $50 dollars at $3 a day and in that long while you lose your $50, this is not how to make money in a prediction market.
