A lot of discussions here focus on ROI, hash rate, and electricity but I think one issue gets underestimated: noise.

Even if you have cheap power, running an ASIC at home is not easy. Constant fan noise, heat, and vibration can make it uncomfortable. I tried running one unit before and honestly, the noise alone made me rethink scaling at home.

There are products like minerboxes silent enclosures designed to reduce ASIC noise but they're an extra investment and not a perfect fix.

That's probably why more people are shifting to hosted setups instead of dealing with noise at home.

So i'm wondering: do you think noise is quietly pushing small miners out of home setups?

I don't think noise is the main problem in mining. Many miners use sound boxes on their balconies and reduce the noise level to 40 decibels.
The main problems are decreased mining profits, and unfortunately, it's very difficult to install more than one ASIC in an apartment. High electricity consumption raises suspicions and leads to inspections by energy companies.
