Midas (XMID)
Private. Own chain. Built-in verifiable burn.

midascoin.info

Technical paper (v1.1) | GitHub | ANN thread link

Important notice
We strongly recommend building from source. Windows and services like VirusTotal often flag Monero and Monero forks as miners (false positives). We will not publish or endorse prebuilt release binaries in this announcement until they have been checked and attested by volunteers from this forum — to avoid any claim that we are spreading viruses. Until that happens, the only supported way to run Midas is to compile it yourself from the public repository.

What is Midas
Midas (XMID) is the flagship currency of the Midas ecosystem — a privacy-first coin on its own blockchain, not a wrapped asset on foreign rails. Technically it sits in the same weight class as Monero: ring signatures, stealth addresses, RingCT, Bulletproofs+, view tags, Dandelion++, subaddresses; its own genesis, its own Network ID; P2P 19080, RPC 19081, ZMQ 19082; ~2-minute blocks; RandomX PoW so ordinary CPUs can mine and hashrate stays decentralized.

XMID is not “one of many deposit options” in the long run — it is the native monetary layer Midas Games is built around. As the product matures, the model moves toward mandatory games chips: to sit at the tables and spin the wheels you buy XMID-backed chips — not optional side credit. That turns every new player and every session into recurring demand for the coin, on top of trading and mining.

On top of that, XMID is burned inside the game layer: a slice of action flows to the unspendable genesis burn address and to scheduled house buyback-and-burn, so supply pressure isn’t a slogan — it’s wired into how the games run. Privacy on-chain, provable sinks, and a games economy that has to keep buying XMID to function — that’s the Midas thesis.

Genesis burn you can audit
Midas ships a deterministic burn address: no spend key was ever generated for it — coins sent there stay gone, and anyone can re-derive the address and check it against the chain. get_burn in the CLI, /get_burn on the daemon, plus midas-gen-burn-address and midas-verify-burn-address in the repo. Full write-up: Technical paper §9.4.

How to earn XMID
• Chain mining: Official GUI wallet for Windows, macOS, Linux — run RandomX against the Midas network for block rewards. Download from GitHub Releases or build from source (recommended; see Important notice above).
• Android: Midas Games — real-money-style games plus a tapper mini-game. This is not on-phone PoW; it’s the mobile side of the ecosystem. midascoin.info

XMID × Midas Games
30% of house gross revenue goes to open-market buybacks and burns of XMID, every month, automatically. Every play burns a slice of XMID to the fixed unspendable genesis address — irreversible on-chain. Stake XMID for a weekly cut of house-edge profit (~71% estimated staking APR). Hold more XMID, trim the house edge by up to 2% on your bets. Stakers vote on games, treasury, and parameters. Public dashboard: burns, buybacks, treasury — traceable against the blockchain.

Roadmap
January 2026 — protocol locked, hardening and monitoring. March 2026mainnet go-live target. Q2 2026 — stronger privacy and security, better wallets and mobile, integrations and partnerships. Dates are targets; they can move for security or ops reasons.

Quick specs
Ticker: XMID
PoW: RandomX
Block time: ~2 min
Decimals: 12
Emission: Monero-style schedule + tail emission — math in the technical paper

Why the Midas-Casino website?
If the system is to be activated, please change the port addresses. This is not a difficult process. It should not be a complete copy of Monero.

Hi, everyone!

The coin is part of the Midas ecosystem. Long story short, liquidity will be supported by a few things:

1. Midas Games constantly buying back XMID from the market
2. Ongoing coin burns to the get_burn address with a more advanced mechanism behind it
3. Gradually rolling out XMID as the native betting currency in the Midas Games

We’ll share a more detailed roadmap a bit later.

• Android: Midas Games — real-money-style games plus a tapper mini-game. This is not on-phone PoW; it’s the mobile side of the ecosystem. midascoin.info

If you don’t have hardware for direct XMID mining, you can just tap in the Midas Miner app game and earn MIDAS

Why the Midas-Casino website?
If the system is to be activated, please change the port addresses. This is not a difficult process. It should not be a complete copy of Monero.

Ports are all set - P2P’s on 19080, RPC’s on 19081. Just build it the same way you would Monero, let it sync up, and then you can fire up mining or use the wallet

Glad to share - we’ve started building out the swap system so people in our community can buy and sell XMID right in the app and on the Midas Games platform.

Can't compile windows binary:

Did you even try to compile it on another OS?

for wallet GUI on Windows:

run PowerShell, then

git clone https://github.com/xmid/midas-coin-wallet
cd "C:\Users\yours_path\midas-coin-wallet"
git submodule sync --recursive
git submodule update --init --force --recursive
docker run --rm -it -v C:\Users\yours_path\midas-coin-wallet:/midas-gui -w /midas-gui -e JOBS=16 -e MANUAL_SUBMODULES=ON monero:build-env-windows sh -c 'make depends root=/depends target=x86_64-w64-mingw32 tag=win-x64'
binaries you can find C:\Users\yours_path\midas-coin-wallet\build\x86_64-w64-mingw32\release\bin

Could you publish a pre-compiled Windows binary to the GitHub releases page? The releases tab is empty and building from source with Docker is a barrier for new miners.

Midas Update:

We’re building the next major piece of the Midas project: a Polymarket-style prediction market where users trade on the outcome of real-world events and market prices reflect collective conviction in real time. Over the last several milestones, we’ve shipped the core resolution stack — dispute handling, oracle and evidence ingestion, policy-driven re-review, notifications, role-based moderation, and a working moderator dashboard. If you’re interested in prediction markets, market structure, and transparent event-based trading, follow Midas as we push from prototype toward production.

[PROJECT UPDATE] Midas Ecosystem Development Progress

The Midas Ecosystem continues making rapid development progress, with multiple new casino-style game modules now completed as development-credit MVPs and prepared for integration review and controlled ecosystem testing.

Recently completed MVP builds include:

• Video Poker
• Baccarat
• Plinko
• Craps
• Sic Bo
• Dragon Tiger
• Mines
• Keno

All game modules are being developed around several core principles:

  • Server-authoritative gameplay logic
  • Transparent and auditable math models
  • Statistical RNG validation
  • Security-boundary testing
  • Runtime QA and persistence validation
  • Clear RTP / payout documentation
  • Fair and non-manipulative gameplay architecture

Current ecosystem targets include:

  • 18 Games
  • 1 Prediction Market
  • 1 Connected XMID Ecosystem

Planned game portfolio currently includes:

Crash, Dice, Slots, Roulette, Blackjack, Craps, Sic Bo, Dragon Tiger, Plinko, Mines, Keno, Casino War, Five-Card Poker, Three-Card Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Wheel/Game Show Game, and Bingo/Slingo-style games.

The development approach remains focused on building real ecosystem utility first: games, engagement systems, wallet integration boundaries, transparency, and long-term demand drivers around XMID.

The idea is simple: sustainable volume and ecosystem growth come from utility, activity, and user demand — not short-term hype alone.

The project is still very early in development, but the ecosystem itself is expanding aggressively and steadily.

More updates coming soon.
