I've also seen a video where the girl was asked to choose between 5 BTC and first class and she chose 5 BTC, when the interviewer asked if she didn't want to make mama proud her response was that "if I get 5 BTC mama no go proud keh" so I'm not really into listening to those videos, there are mostly just content, we can argue that people don't know what BTC is but when you are asked to choose between 2 things then the assumption there is that you know what those things are so anyone choosing first class over 1000 BTC is just a content creator trying to gets likes, comments and shares.
What you are saying is very correct, most of those videos are just scripted for comic purposes and to gets social media attention and likes but we still can’t rule out the fact that most persons are still very much ignorant about bitcoin in Nigeria, for example if you ask most parents even up till now to chose either between a first class for their children or 1000 BTC i bet you that out of 10 parents 8 will still choose first class, Nigerians are still highly ignorant about BTC, they are also still very suspicious too about it and they really don’t know it’s worth nor usage.
Most parents till date still have that mentality that education is the only key to success, that is why no matter how poor they are most of them fight so hard to send their kids to school, sending once kids to school isn’t wrong but everyone must shift to the current trend and reality of life, gone by the days when education was the only bedrock of success, today we have lots of first class graduates that lack the ability to put food on their table because of bad government and all, hence my advice is everyone should understand the current trend in our society and drift towards it so that he/she won’t be left behind. BTC is a reality that have come to stay, the world is changing hence, we too must evolve so as to maintain balance.
