Actually, most sports bettors know the sport they choose. It has even become their hobby. But still, when placing a bet, sometimes bettors will only use basic analysis. I don't think it is a good idea to simply say that people can gamble without any knowledge of the games they play, but luck does play a huge role in gambling. For the novice, a win on his first few tries could be down to luck, but it is no different in the long term. A basic understanding of the odds. House edge and bankroll management will help players make better decisions and avoid unrealistic expectations. While luck can get you a win now.
