As reported by local news. The NDLEA in Bayelsa State arrested Chimezie Collins, known as Mezico, the owner of MEZICO Pharmacy. He was found with 1900 tablets/ caplets of controlled drugs, 150 bottles of Diazepam and pentazocine injection, and 77 bottles of codeine valued at approximately N 3 million.
Collins has been a distributor of hard drugs on the agency's watchlist for two years. The arrest was commended by the state commander.

The effort of NDLEA is highly commended. Most of the people taking this hard drugs , more especially the young people, take them in excess and are not with their senses any longer. Some of these guys are students, and after taking these drugs, they become confused, and some of them become mentally deranged, and some even go into steeling.

NDLEA should continue in their good job, and whoever is apprehended selling these illicit drugs should face the wrath of the law, and by so doing, dealers will refrain and people who take them will regain sanity.

We need to give them their flowers for being able to arrest this particular drug distributor. I think the job this NDLEA are doing is very important with the way drug abuse has been affecting a lot of young people now. You will see some young people taking this substances and completely lose control and it ends up affecting not just them but also the people around them as well. Cases like this needs to be taken seriously because it’s not just small quantity anymore , people are distributing in larger quantities too. I also agree that those involved should face the law because if there are no consequences, others won’t see any reason to stop. Also at the same time I feel it shouldn’t just end up by arresting the dealers, there should also be more awareness and rehabilitation because some of this users are already addicts and needs help to recover.
