This is according to what I saw on Coindesk. If you know that it is not true, you can correct me.
I know about the new Google research about quantum computers but I dd not read it in full, I am just seeing this on Coindesk that all that will later be needed to derive private key from public key during quantum computers cracking bitcoin private key is just 9 minutes.
https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2026/03/31/what-does-cracking-bitcoin-in-9-minutes-by-quantum-computers-actually-meanNew research from Google's Quantum AI team suggests a future quantum computer could derive a bitcoin private key from a public key in about nine minutes, potentially allowing attackers to hijack transactions before they are confirmed.
This means that the quantum computers can be used to attack unconfirmed transactions if not confirmed before 9 minutes but we know that bitcoin transactions can at times takes 9 minutes or more.
