I’ve been thinking about this for a while because a big gambling win can really change something, but at the same time it can disappear just as fast. That’s the part I want to avoid if it ever happens to me.

Instead of wasting it or putting it back into gambling again, I’d rather use it as capital for a small business or anything that can grow and become a steady income later on.

I only remember one friend of mine buying a TV. No one ever started a business or anything like that with their gambling winnings. And all my winnings helped me pay off debts during tough times. It was tough. I think gamblers won't withdraw their winnings, but will immediately extrapolate them. I mean, they'll imagine that the win will be repeated, but with a new, larger amount. I haven't won that big but I can talk about those who have, gambling slowly becomes a sickness, it takes a disciplinary heart to heal from it completely before coming back.

The few people who I knew still came back to gambling after their won life changing money, and down the line I don't even see anything they used the money for, they are broke today.

My mind tells me that they went back into gambling and lost most of the money again, you can't completely be free as a winner when you are used to gambling, even if the money is life changing you will be back, and that's when you will pay all the money back to the casino.

I have never won a big amount of money that could start a business before, but I have won a reasonable amount of money from gambling before. Immediately I withdrew it, I used it to get myself a phone because the one I was using was developing some little faults.but, I have seen someone who won a big amount of money from gambling and used the money to establish a business, but he still ended up losing the business because of gambling. All the money he was making from the business, he was still using it to gamble. Maybe he was expecting to win another big amount of money.

Most of the people who are lucky enough to win a big amount of money from gambling do not use the money to establish a business successfully. Even when they do, the business often runs down because they keep believing they can win another big amount of money.The only way to prevent such a business from running down is for the gambler to stop gambling, especially if the business was established with gambling winnings. It was always design to be a big trap to keep you in the loop but I think only a few percentage of those who really won huge amount has smart ways they do to their winnings and it's probably on their decision skills. It's said "better late than never" not ever, so please take note.
And speaking of winning big from gambling and then using the money to make a down payment of 20% to 30% to buy a house through a bank loan, don't you think this might turn out to be a very bad investment idea? Unless you plan on later selling same house for maybe profit or something..

Saying this because if you depend on money made from gambling to be able to raise 20% to 30% of capital required for a down payment for a house, and then using a bank loan to finance the rest, what happens to the loan collected from the bank, how will you pay back assuming you are not able to replicate same big winning from gambling again for a very long time? What this means is that the bank might end up taking over the house which I believe is what you are going to use as a collateral, selling it to recover their money while you are left with nothing or almost nothing, think about this and also consider the fact that this could be the reason why you haven't won big yet, because your maker doesn't want you getting in to problems due to financial errors after winning a good amount of money that could have set you up for life. 😂

It's naive for me to think that you can persuade someone to make an advance payment by telling them your idea, which will bring profit to someone in the future. It must be some kind of unique idea that has not yet been used by others, but basically everyone always repeats what works well for the "neighbor." And here, without your own money, on full trust, it is very difficult to get attention and get investors. Everything is made much easier if you risk your own capital.

Well, technically. If you count that i bought new laptop with my winnings and used that for building a brand. I might have managed without it, but it definitely helped. However it didn't pay back for years but as without using it my free time to polish my skills, my learning curve would otherwise have been more difficult and would have taken longer.

At the time, i wasn't aware of the bitcoin, so it's not like i would have found a better investment for my future. And it's not like it was enough to put in high interest bank account.

I have not had such opportunity but this reminds me of someone I know who won about $8,000 few years back but at the moment the person is back to the street because he didn't invest rightly. At the time he won the money, he did a lavish burial for the mother in-law and used a huge part to go into transport business. He bought two buses and gave them to drivers who would be delivering to him on higher purchase. The drivers were not honest with him and coupled with the fact that he wasn't re-investing the money paid to him weekly on the higher purchase. So he was just feeding with the money and couldn't take care of the buses when they became old and bad from the complaints of the drivers.

But I think winning money and investing it, is good but it has to be in the business that we are familiar with and not just a fresh business.

I once got a big win at gambling, and by using it raandom hell sometimes I use it to buy what I want or used it again to gamble, but I have never used all my big winnings to gamble again although there is a sense of wanting to try by depositing a large amount of uanag and betting by using high betting amounts but until now I have not done so. If you manage to win some money and you use the money for something that you need, that’s a good thing already.
