Similar discussion on the last thread I posted on. It is never easy to quit gambling when the reason why you gamble at first still haunt you day in, day out. It is condition that led many individual to gamble. What they could not afford, responsibility of the family, influence from peer pressure. There is always that one reason why there are many gambler in the world today. If the reason seize to exist, the person is liable to quit gambling.

It's never really easy, but there is always a solution as long as the person is willing. If the reason why they are gambling in the first place is because they see gambling as the only means to make money and change their financial problems and they have been into gambling for a long time and have been incurring much loss, is that not enough to set the record straight for the gambler that he's in the wrong place looking for money and should put his head on something else, maybe ook for a real job instead of depending on gambling winnings to change his life?

Having a regular job doesn’t guarantee that your life will improve. There are many different salary levels and workers who earn minimum salary often think about how to change their lives. Some of them consider starting a business, investing or even gambling. I agree that it’s not easy to quit gambling, especially when you see yourself stuck in an average job with little opportunity for changing your life. Because of that, people may try different ways to change their situation and some already choose gambling as one of those methods.

I think gambling won’t ruin the lives of people who know how to plan their income and expenses, because everything is calculated and gambling is just a part of a functioning system. A potential win is clearly not included in that plan. Simply understanding how much money you need and how you can earn it rather than win it can help a person avoid mistakes and unexpected expenses.

Those that are novice and don't know which about gambling must be wise and never to gamble anyhow due to how quick people are falling to gambling addiction. Gamblers need to help themselves so they don't have to continue losing money due to the fact that they want to make quick profits from betting and become rich overnight which is very rare to happen to must gamblers.

I regret my lack of self control while gambling and this will serve as a lesson for me. In fact if I were to share this experience with beginners, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell them so they can understand that gambling is not risk free or low-risk.

I will use this experience to improve myself in the future, including by making it an example for beginners around me to learn from.

It might be so easy to tell them to live their lives, but if it were that easy, maybe they wouldn't have become addicts in the first place. I regret my lack of self control while gambling and this will serve as a lesson for me. In fact if I were to share this experience with beginners, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell them so they can understand that gambling is not risk free or low-risk.

That's a good action as newcomer mostly thinks that gambling can be control easily but when they experienced the pressures either when winning or experienced losses they start to follow their emotions, but similar to what you said when there's someone who can share their own experience it can be use as basis to avoid making same mistakes, though not all are accepting that facts but to those who cares about their finances and time they will use it and learn from it to make things better while they are invole into gambling.

This piece of advice would really change the perspective of an addicted gambler.I’ve seen so many addicted gamblers that have been trapped to gambling addiction,honestly it’s not an easy task to quit gambling addiction,probably not only gambling addiction rather diverse addictions in general.Most people would make up their mind to quit and the last game before quitting would be a win,making them to have double mind whether to quit or not.If you aren’t in the gambling industry to have fun and you’re here to make money and you keeping losing,it would be wise you quit before addiction becomes your end result.

quitting gambling is not really an easy task, if it were that easy a lot of people would have done it. on the other hand, hust because some srr gamblers doesn't realy mean that they don't habe  plans for themselves. there are people that quickly assume that just because someone is a gambler means that they gamble irresponsibly, that's not really an accurate thought. The most important thing is to make sure that you are not gambling irresponsibly and you are not addicted to it. people who gamble out of control or excessively are the ones that need to quit because this habit is causing more harm than good for them.such people are the ones that really needs to change their life choices

What you said is very true, most persons don’t just gamble for fun, they see gambling as a means where they can get extra fund to support themselves for feeding or one or two daily activities because they don’t really have enough to sort out this things and along the line, they find themselves doing it everyday. So if definitely, there is enough money and their job pays very well, they wouldn’t be any need for them to gamble again because at the process of gambling, they are also losing their own money but just had to take the risk.

As long as it can be done according to one's wishes, I don't think any activity will have a negative impact.
Addiction has a negative impact; no one wants to experience it unless they're addicted to something that benefits them and those around them.

Experiencing a gambling addiction will lead people to a pit that will be difficult to escape from, and I wouldn't compare it to drug addiction. This isn't nonsense, but responsible gamblers are those who can do it according to their desires. As long as they want to play, they will play. Once they're done, they won't continue because they realize that winning comes when they are sober and know it's time to stop and move on.

It is really very difficult, because gambling is an area where it becomes difficult for most people to maintain this responsibility and control, because they fail to control their greed, they start naturally, but over time, our greed gradually becomes more intense, but after that, if it is continued irresponsibly like this, it can easily turn into a habit and addiction. I have been a gambling addict before and that's a sensation that many won't think they are already in it. It's mostly in a denial stage when someone becomes a gambling addict. Others who have been observant with other people's lives that they notice how reactive the gambling addicts are, they know that they can't just beat and tell them to stop. That's true because we've got some pride and we think that we can handle ourselves and no one can stop us. But if we're going to realize that someone who's concerned to us, we shouldn't ignore what they are telling us with the care they have for us and for the reminders that are endless being told to.

I don't know if anyone really has a problem but I have a gut feeling that there are many and all they need is a little nudge from someone they don't know but maybe could benefit from listening to.

How sure are we that gambling addicts will listen to the advice of an anonymous person?  The only person who will listen to anything they read is the person who has decided for themselves that they need to change. If the person is still hooked to gambling despite their financial situation, they will never pay attention.

Find a new addiction that will actually change your life in a good way. Become obsessed with reinventing yourself and prove everyone wrong about the loser you have become.

This might be a temporary solution, but it won't solve the addiction problem.  We are just diverting the addiction into something else.  Remember any addiction will always have a negative effect to the person.  What best thing to do is divert the attention in a balanced way.

Gambling addiction is a serious problem, especially since I have already encountered someone who I considered to be addicted to gambling, and the worst part is, it's my family member.
In my honest opinion, handling a person like this is really stressful; it will affect you mentally, too. Since I am into gambling too, but I'm on the "good" side, like responsible gambling, so yeah, everything that is "too much" is really not good.

Some common things that addicted gamblers have in common is that they do not treat their family members well and are always very excited. In fact, it is very difficult to deal with someone in the family who is deeply addicted to gambling. I myself gamble but it is within a limitation, I gamble two to maximum three days a week and on the days when I have enough money, I use some money to gamble and enjoy the fun from there. It is definitely important to be responsible towards yourself when gambling because without responsibility, a gambler will never be able to control himself and will easily become addicted which is very harmful for himself and his family.

People choose to make easy money from gambling, this is the case with most gamblers, then they cannot accept any loss, if there is a loss, they try their best to compensate for that loss, and finally they lose control and fall into big losses. Gradually the amount of their loss increases, from which it becomes very difficult for them to get out later, if they play with this kind of mentality, gambling will bring various kinds of losses and problems in their future from which it will be difficult for them to get out, but if they understand their mistake very well and really want to get out of it, then if they get good advice, then they will definitely be able to get out of it at some point.

Many people think that gambling is an easy way to make money, but in reality, gambling is not a good way to make money. People who choose to gamble to make money have suffered financially and gambling has become a part of their lives, which can slowly destroy their lives. It's good that we don't judge people about their gambling behavior but I will judge anyone that is desperate about gambling and looking for that money that will change their life. If you see the way some people focus on gambling, you begin to wonder the kind of work they do offline to have that time they use in gambling. Some people don't have any means of making money, they don't work and it's only gambling they do for a living, I will judge them if I see them.

The purpose of gambling should be a means and not a job for people to do and even as it is. If it's not working for you, quit gambling and give it some rest. I don't know how it looks for some people but you can't be gambling and it winning and then you refused to quit, it doesn't make any sense to be doing that. Sometimes even if you don't quit, give it some rest and come back after you must have detect the problem.

  Gambling can be perfectly reasonable if you keep a steady budget and have the character to take the hit if or when you lose, its a game you play to pass time or for enjoyment of the risk to reward gamble nothing more nothing less.
