quitting gambling is not really an easy task, if it were that easy a lot of people would have done it. on the other hand, hust because some srr gamblers doesn't realy mean that they don't habe  plans for themselves. there are people that quickly assume that just because someone is a gambler means that they gamble irresponsibly, that's not really an accurate thought. The most important thing is to make sure that you are not gambling irresponsibly and you are not addicted to it. people who gamble out of control or excessively are the ones that need to quit because this habit is causing more harm than good for them.such people are the ones that really needs to change their life choices

Ehhh... I understand why you may be doing this and letting this message go off for whoever may need it. That is definitely not me though. I am fully under control and completely aware on what I am doing with my little money.

Also, I am not trying to be mean or anything, but this sounds kind of uncalled for, I get it, you want to make some difference in the life of someone here on the forum. But let us be realistic: if someone is going through serious problem gambling then it is very unlikely a random message on this forums is going to be their wake up call and prompt them to fully change their lifestyle positively.

Gambling addiction is a serious issue , but my Question is  why do many think or feels gambling is a sources of income or a job that generate income, because most addiction it’s from so much expectation that you begin to chase loses, gambling addiction is very hard to deal with , it’s better to see it as entertainment and focus on other things , that can generate income , seeing people who are affected negatively, you will understand what the OP is talking about , know your limit , many can’t even go a day without gambling and it’s actually ruining peoples life.

When a gambler have statistics of how it will gamble, that will limit the engagement of the person into gambling, and if you also have a budget, that will also bridges a gambler not to spend extravagantly...so having a limit and budget in gambling, it will control or regulates involvement of a gambler if I'm not mistaken...

If you want to stop gambling and get out of gambling addiction, stop and stay away from all activities related to gambling. Of course, it's difficult if you are already addicted. We know that all forms of addiction definitely have harmful impacts. Everything will be okay when you know the sufficient limits of your needs. Yep, problem and addiction doesn't just come from making gamble as an income, but it also happen from gambling experiences such as losing, winning, interface, music or sound. Everything can turn a gamble for just for fun to addicted because of at least one or two factors that I mentioned. Losing make a gamble want to chase the win to get back their money. Winning position making them want more money, even the UI and UX from platform also give an impact to addiction.

This is exactly what I was meaning to say, because I myself don’t see any reason why I should stop gambling. I do gamble mostly for the fun it brings, and most times it’s even on weekends so it doesn’t in a way affect me daily activities and work.

And also it doesn’t have no negative effect on me as well, so I don’t see reason why I should stop it tbh. Like you said, his advise should be for people who are already kind of addicted to gambling.

I understand the advice that you are trying to give but q lot of successful people gamble, infact I believe that the wealthy and people of influence in the society gamble more thatn we think. And they dint stake small amount of money, does that mean that they dint take their life serious? If you're not greedy and lazy you wouldn't see gamble as a source of income, you would have been concentrating  more on adding meaning to your life than chasing mere fantasy. However life is by chance and through it we make our various choices in life, and mind you every decision in life has a consequence attached to it and in this case of gambling aggressively, addiction is the supreme price we pay. Furthermore, anybody that has chosen his path by gambling aggressively without control then should be ready to face any outcome that come in return of his actions.

Like I have always said, their is no gambler that will say he didn't know all these safety measures about gambling responsible that you have just mentioned, but when that urge of making it faster without hesitation, greed and all of that has over clouder a player he wouldn't know when he starts chasing lost and in most cases staking above his limit, and the outcome of such action is always disaster.

Gambling is very dangerous as it can make people addicted. This should say enough for people who truly want to quit and start doing something with their life and that would be the perfect outcome for them. Most people though are bombarded with dopamine by heavy gambling and they cannot think that clearly as dopamine makes them feel happy while gambling. We have not much power over other people but for our own we can and we should stop.

Message you share is wake up call since even though betting has now been turned into high tech apps and crypto, it can still place people in body brain rush loop that can be broken only through total honesty and act.
I think that the only answer to this loser self image is that you replace your betting habit with some other good focus such as learning new skill, exercise, or job that will bring back control and aim that habit takes away.
You are right that there is no place in mind of a victim. By putting your family first and working hard instead of being lucky can beat your devils and at last be in control of your future. Paper does not lie, when side of bad points is full, only smart act is to run away and never turn back.

When you are addicted to gambling, you will barely think about possible ways of escaping that addiction. Your focus will be on winning, which has been given you the go-ahead motive. What a topic OP, it sounds annoying because not all gamblers are not doing any with their lives, some are doing very good in life, they are very responsible around friends and families, they are gambling only to enjoy the little time they have when they are not working, but at the same time I understand the message that you are trying to pass here.

There are some gamblers who don't care about their lives, they are too reckless and irresponsible, I guess they are the ones this topic is all for, I have meet some crazy people who called themselves gamblers but they are not good ones, they take stupid risks without having anything in their bank account, they completely depend on the game they are about to play like a god told them to play because they will surely win and when things work out wrongfully they start begging people around for money, it's a habit of shameless and irresponsible.

I don't see any reasons to quit gambling because.

It doesn't take took much of my time.
It doesn't take away my money, losing 1% won't do any harm.
I don't battle with depression or mood swings after gambling.

It all comes down to your risk tolerance, be responsible about it.

You are right , their are many factors that can lead someone into gambling addiction , all this stated Above is also one of them , but to stop an addicted gambling I think it starts from within, if the person is aware of his personality, he or she should be truthful to himself, and work on self discipline, also awareness is also important, when he is self aware it will help reduce the level or rate at which he gamble or the way he visits gambling sites, limiting interaction with friends can also help , because if his associates are gambler,constantly been in touch with them can also trigger more of his urge to gamble while trying to abstain from it .

Some of those people don't really know how bad they are hurting themselves; their gambling addiction doesn't allow them to see whatever they are doing as something wrong. Only a few of them suspect, but since they are not sure or don't take it seriously, they will keep on gambling. Once they are addicted, they always feel like they have a chance of winning back what was lost as long as they keep on gambling; giving up is never an option for them; it looks like a waste of opportunity.

the most important act for gambler to stop gambling only 1 "limit access to own money". when someone become gambling addict, and he want to stop his addiction, he only need to limit access to his money. I say this many time in this forum. Limit interaction with friends still have a chance to deposit online gamble. limit access casino online, still have a chance to deposit. but if limit the access such as not using mobile banking. for crypto asset, some exchange offering locking asset for earning, of course this is not recommended, but the only way to limit access only locking asset to prevent making withdrawal for gamble. someone can do this at least 3-6 months after that may he can stop gamble. except he unable to control him self after having access to transfer money again. I personally limit my access to money to give them all to my wife, I doesn't have access to her exchange and bank account.

It is condition that led many individual to gamble. What they could not afford, responsibility of the family, influence from peer pressure. There is always that one reason why there are many gambler in the world today. If the reason seize to exist, the person is liable to quit gambling.

Hahaha thanks for the advice. My past self would have really needed it because I used to be addicted to gambling and wasted a lot of money on it. But now I’m glad I’ve changed and I’ve realized that gambling with a controlled budget, emotion and time won’t lead me to harm or my mind push me into doing something criminal. Rather than quitting completely from gambling I think gambling responsibly works better for me. Stopping completely is really hard, but by implemented gambling responsibly I’ve been able to improve my life, now I can manage it and live alongside gambling.

Stopping completely may be hard but is not impossible to do because I have seen and also heard of different people that have done it I want to try to do it myself and I almost did but I just had to continue gambling a little bit because it is something I enjoy doing It was not just as if I could not stop completely. I like to tell people that whatever they love to do they should always continue doing it but always find the way that they can do it without being addicted because the worst thing you can do is to get addicted to something that takes money from your pocket just as gambling does to anybody that is an addicted individual.

As long as it can be done according to one's wishes, I don't think any activity will have a negative impact.
Addiction has a negative impact; no one wants to experience it unless they're addicted to something that benefits them and those around them.

Experiencing a gambling addiction will lead people to a pit that will be difficult to escape from, and I wouldn't compare it to drug addiction. This isn't nonsense, but responsible gamblers are those who can do it according to their desires. As long as they want to play, they will play. Once they're done, they won't continue because they realize that winning comes when they are sober and know it's time to stop and move on.

It's never really easy, but there is always a solution as long as the person is willing. If the reason why they are gambling in the first place is because they see gambling as the only means to make money and change their financial problems and they have been into gambling for a long time and have been incurring much loss, is that not enough to set the record straight for the gambler that he's in the wrong place looking for money and should put his head on something else, maybe look for a real job instead of depending on gambling winnings to change his life?
