No, not at all. Sharing my own experience, I was working in a well paid job and the salary was enough to meet my needs. Also, I was saving extra money every month. During this job I used to watch various videos on youtube about trading and a lot of greed developed inside me. Unfortunately, I gave up my job and started watching those trading videos regularly. I especially watch interviews with successful traders who are earning millions of taka per month from trading. I started trading mainly because of these false hopes and to be honest I lost a lot of money. But I learned a lot from my mistakes that will help me do better in crypto in the future.
Have you had any such experiences in your life?
You Can, but only if your base in trading is really strong. A side job with trading is nothing bad and it even generates more capital for trading so I don't see why anyone would try to leave his/her job. People often quit their jobs because they are lazy and they create illusions themselves in their mind and comfort themselves that they will make something with trading while trading is I belive 10× harder and more riskier than any job. So I think a job should be continued as it's a good backup even if you lose and can be left only when you have build a good trading image.

Should I quit my job for trading?I will say no, trading is like a side job for me, if I should quit my job and focus on trading alone it will affect my financial life. Take for example, I trade and then I loss, i will be left frustrated, restless. What am insinuating is that it is not a good idea that one should leave his or her job for trading, we all know how risky trading can be,and am not also saying that trading is a bad thing for one to do, but it should be something we do as a side hustle. In conclusion if u are trading and earning some reasonable profit, and it makes you feel good, and you are sure it won't affect your financial life, then you can take the risk and quit your job for it.

Deciding to quit your job solely to become a freelancer, in this context, focusing on trading, could be considered a mistake or an unwise choice. Not without reason, as we know, there are no guarantees in trading. It might seem easy to make money here, especially after watching YouTube videos that motivate you and make you believe you can do the same, yet to achieve consistent profits in trading, it takes more than just money or capital, it requires in depth knowledge and extensive experience dealing with past losses, this is what will sharpen your ability to analyze the market. Nothing happens overnight, even with all the knowledge and preparation, it’s extremely difficult to achieve the consistent profit accumulation we all desire.
Even when it's profitable and looking good, I'd say it's better to take a leave and test yourself during that period. It's never going to be a good idea to quit your job after 2 days of profit and getting overexcited by it. Yeah, maybe you cracked the trading but why not gain more confidence by testing it over a long period, like a quarter or even an year. Another aspect of quitting your job is the nature of it. If the job is low quality and one that can be achieved again without too much effort, then you can take the risk, because you can always come back if trading doesn't work. But if you have a high-paying job that's not easy to get again, then you'd better make sure the trading is really worth it in the long term before quitting.

You can make good profits in trading for a short period, but is there any guarantee that those profits will continue? Never, because firstly, trading is very risky; it is possible to make temporary profits here. Still, there is no guarantee of permanent income. On the other hand, in the job, your fixed income is guaranteed, and the more experience you gain, the more your salary will increase every year. I am sharing the experience of a friend of mine: when he started earning several times his salary from trading, he quit his job and started trading full-time. After a few months, he lost a lot of money in trading, so he started looking for a job again. This is the result of quitting his job and dependence on trading. Trading can never be a job replacement.

You're right and your choice to continue working is the right one. I made the same decision as you. Because we shouldn't quit our jobs and make trading our primary source of income, let alone our sole one. This is very risky, especially since I've also read in this forum that many people lose money in the long term because trading isn't a job with a stable monthly salary. Furthermore, the market can move sideways for months or suddenly become volatile due to bad news. So, if you rely entirely on trading you'll experience tremendous psychological pressure which will ultimately lead to overtrading which will impact your finances. If you decide to continue working and make trading your additional income it's a wise choice. Working while you're earning a salary can provide security, allowing you to trade with a cool head, without worrying about what you'll eat tomorrow. Besides that you have time to study without rushing to get profits in a short time, moreover by working it will also be useful for learning discipline, time management and mentality.

I think the problem is not trading, but the way we view it. YouTube or social media only shows success stories but no one shows the loss part and that's where the wrong expectations are created. But in reality trading is actually a very slow process and here you have to pay the price for your own mistakes, So now I think it was wiser to stay in your position and learn slowly than to quit your job.

Not just in trading, anything that doesn't guarantees income at the end of a particular period in time is not good to solely depend on, for a living because it might disappoint you when you needed it the most, that's why I will never encourage anyone to quit his job and focus only on trading, just because it gives more money than your job or your business, because it doesn't guarantees you profit at the end of a particular period in time, besides it's not a bad idea to be doing both of them, since it gives you that security financially, than be relying only on trading for a living.
3 years ago I did work in crypto including trading and also work in offline as an editor, but when the Covid Pandemic happened, offline work was really being destroyed and I was one of the people who was kicked out of my job because the company was losing money due to lack of clients at that time. So after that until now I am fully working in crypto and yes this really can't be made just as a main job, there has to be another job and then I opened a printing business to make more money and be more stable even though the work in crypto is not good. Crypto can generate incredible profits, but vice versa. Balance with work or other businesses is also needed so that you don't just rely on crypto.

Take for example, I trade and then I loss, i will be left frustrated, restless.
This is why we should take out emotions out of trading. No trader wins on emotions and sustains it. It can only be momentarily and not sustainable. We've to take into cognizance the fact that loss is an integral part of trading just like its twin opposite (Profit) is. It's understandable that traders want to see profit always, sadly; life doesn't function that way. That's why Money Management (MM)/Risk management is important before any trader triggers a trade. No trader should expect wins every time. But let losses not overwhelm the wins. So, next time you're trading, make sure not to over leverage or over lotsize your capital. That way, whatever losses you've won't push you into frustration.

I would never leave my job to trade particularly when I am a new trader. I am able to continue with my job and keep trading hence it does not bother me to do both. It is time to accept that what we see on the Internet may be large outcomes, living standards, and stories of success, but it does not demonstrate the process that allows reaching them. At least you have now a more realistic view of things, with what you have experienced.
I wonder, with all the things that you have gone through, is it still your desire to trade with discipline or is it better to first of all get back to a stable income?
Another point that nobody makes here, why would we leave our job? I love my job, I make money from it and I have fun doing it. People think that everyone hates their job, and while I did had a job that I hated back in the day, I quit that, and found this one and I am very happy with what I have right now. I do not feel like this is a bad situation, and I think I will keep doing it. Trading isn't better than what my job is, and why would I want to leave such a good thing, and go do something so stressful?

And you have made a good choice because when you have a job you have something to rely on and you will know that at the end of the day or week you are expecting something, compare to trading were nothing is assured so there a lot of things that needs to be considered first before you think of quitting your job because the moment you quite and you are not making any profit then how do you survive this are things that anyone is suppose to be considering when you planning to trade alone. I know that it will get to a point were you would have made good profit and that is when you can make that decision because you have more than enough from trading and that money can be used to start up othere investments that you can use to sustain your self so with this then you won't want to work again because you will focus on building your self but for a start don't quite your job until you have more than enough.

As a smart trader is not advisable to leave your job for trading especially when you are still trying to get the hang of trading . That’s where most newbies do get it wrong they believe if they stop their job they will have enough time to make money from trading , which is actually true but the process is not as quick as some folks paint it to be , it usually takes time for one to be profitable, but still boils down to the kind of trader you are . Some traders took them years while some months but still trading is not get rich quick scheme.

Not just in trading, anything that doesn't guarantees income at the end of a particular period in time is not good to solely depend on~
Yep, it isn't only for trading. We can't depend on a single thing that never guarantees for stable income. Trading never guarantees to give profits regularly, sometimes we may get losses in streak. So, we can't expect to get stable income through trading. If we solely depends on trading, it only leads us to do over trading and we may end up with severe losses only at the end of the day. Quitting your job to trade is never the right decision the market is not always predictable. Even the best traders in the world sometimes go through long periods of losing.
True. Crypto market sometimes is quite difficult to predict. Sure, experienced traders also can get losses due to sudden changes in crypto market. This can't be avoided at all because crypto basically is unpredictable. If you have a permanent job or source of income you will not make reckless or gamble like decisions while trading. Because you know that your living expenses or family responsibilities are being met with the income from that job. This peace of mind helps you to be more patient and disciplined in the market.
You're right. If we have stable income from the jobs in real life, we won't have a problem although we get losses in trading. And surely we can trade calmer because it is just for a side job. Once it becomes a main job, we will never feel calm because it is a single source of income. This possibly leads us to sell in hurry and we can get losses more often due to hasty decision.

The crypto market is a place that you need to watch 24 for 7 without a break, and only then can you get full success, because doing full-time work there you can miss strong market movements that require a reaction from a trader everywhere and now. And I remember many traders complaining on the forums that their pending orders do not work when the price moves rapidly. That's why I'm of the opinion that full-time work can't help but interfere with trading.

By applying your skills, you may be able to make profits from many trades, but making the wrong coin selection and purchase in trading can lead to unexpected losses. You should make investment/trading decisions based on a reliable or stable source of income. You are skilled in trading, but there is a possibility of making mistakes and in terms of risk, trading is compared to gambling. To be skilled and successful in trading, you have to spend a lot of time, but it is not guaranteed that you will earn a lot of money. Just like winning in gambling is uncertain, I find making money from trading to be quite uncertain and risky.

Before starting trading, it is very important to gain proper knowledge about trading, there are many people who start trading without having a proper knowledge about trading just hoping to make quick money and they face financial losses, as a result they realize that achieving success by trading is not an easy work, it is very difficult. Greed always leads us to destruction, so by starting trading without thinking about anything in the hope of making quick money, the risk of losing money increases manifold. It is never possible to gain proper knowledge about trading through social media, the reality is completely different. It cannot be wise to quit your job and start trading without understanding anything.

It is possible, but I myself am not sure. People who leave their jobs to focus on trading have definitely experienced and made profits from trading. They have already felt earning money in a short time from trading, compared to waiting for a monthly salary that might be smaller. It is not recommended and of course, not wise to consider leaving a job to trade. But it is possible that there are people who in their lives, make money solely from trading.

But at the learning stage, if you are unemployed at this stage, you will never be successful in trading. To learn trading, we have to spend time, as well as we have to spend money. Because in the first stage, we cannot avoid losses, in the first stage we will lose a lot, and through losses we have to learn more, but to accept this loss, we have to keep our financial condition good, that is, we have to have a source of income. But if you leave your only source of income, that is, your job, at the learning stage, then you will not have the situation to bear the financial losses that will occur in this learning stage, as a result, you will easily get lost. So you should definitely not quit your job during the learning stage, when you gain skills and start trading well with constant market research, and start achieving something good, then you can consider quitting your job.

I often see videos like that but it no longer triggers me to quit my current job because of experiences from a few years ago, even trading is not like what people say in those videos, because there are many things they do not reveal, since if they also revealed the losses, it would not attract many people to keep watching their videos, and perhaps their main income is not from trading but from the videos themselves. Don't trust 100% of what is shown in the online world, much of what is conveyed is just false claims.
Yes you are actually right, Nevertheless there are actually genuine people that do videos, and live just based on trading alone, but the main problem about leaving your job is If you are profitable enough or not, So regardless of what ever you see online the main thing is that this is a personal race, and it is actually possible to live and get your income just on trading alone

Obviously, such a decision should be made only if your job brings you a small income and you need additional part-time work. If you are getting good pay for your work, then it is better for you to focus on long-term investment, which does not require a lot of time.

Yes your point is much valid because most newbie don’t have this idea about the way YouTuber paint the tradings thing online so if someone is not well informed or having full understanding on how trading you might even go far to see your property to trade..well I think they all more of successful story than even tell about lost story so more it sound like there’s no lost in trading… The best thing to do is just take your time to learn slowly steadily I have come to understand that in life you don’t rush if not it not going to be a nice one…trading is not something you rush it something you take your time to learn..and to understand very bit of it process…
