Well that is indeed an option and you can have the advantage if you are knowledgeable enough in that field.

In my opinion, no one is stopping you from doing it. It can even be the subject of your bets with the limitation that it would be purely on the price of oil & gas and not about the overall war as that would tantamount to being immoral.

Personally, however, I find that prices on stocks and on similar matters are too complicated for me to understand given that there are lots of variance and factors that a person on that field would know. Because as of now, one of the major factor that have greatly influenced the price of oil and gas is the threats of the closure of the "Straits of hormuz",  which happens to be a major route where oil are been transported to many different countries. And with the Strait of Hormuz still been partially openend and close, it is a bigger chance for more volatility between oil and gas. But, the problem still remains at knowing what time it will either rise or fall, except you are very good at analyzing oil and gas.

Quick flipping of forex trades (whether oil and gas or any other asset) is as risky as gambling, but if you have figured out a strategy to make consistent profit, that's actually a good thing.

This is the main reason and point why trading do have an edge over gambling, the fact that you can actually make strategy and not rely on luck, although luck is also needed, I mean, luck is needed in all that we do right. While most people are probably aware of trading these days, I still think gambling has a broader reach meaning it’s the option most people choose. Because one is a part of only entertainment with high risk and another is for not the entertainment that is for trading what can be also like businesses. So we should not mix these two different things. Because through oil and gass trade we will do our business which can be related to our career and earning but in case of gambling it is not like that it is only connected with our entertainment and here such amount is used which we have the ability to lose.

And at the same time if we say that in case of gambling no matter what we say here you can lose all your funds in a minute and at the same time you can gain. But in case of trading the matter is different here you have to invest based on analysis and experience.

It sounds quite easy right but have you tried it yourself it won't look as easy as it sounds because oil and gas is being influenced by the decisions made by world powerful countries and those decisions I have no control over but when I'm gambling I have some control over the games I decide to play and with some little bit of experience and luck I might win and then I am satisfied.

Just because oil and gas is increasing right now does not mean it is the perfect time for me to start trading because any decision made by US or by Iran can crash the price of oil and this will affect your portfolio very bad. Gambling on the other hand can be done at any time and there is nobody that's going to influence the result you get except maybe the casino is involved in some bad practices.

I think you are comparing gambling with business for some reason. If you compare business with gambling, it means that you are looking at it in such a way that if you were not in business, you would be gambling and you may see gambling as your only source of income, but in reality, it is not the same. You cannot rely on gambling in any way or you cannot expect to make the same amount of money as you can expect from a job or business because you do not know whether the result will be in your favor or against you, so if you only rely on gambling, you will suffer financially. Now your question is that if people are in business, why do they gamble again? Gambling is not for everyone so that they will win money from it and with that money they will run their household work, rather there are some people who gamble in their free time for entertainment and they do not really depend on the money they gamble.

To me, I feel gambling, and trading oil and gas are almost the same thing and are both risky. Trading requires high level of skill and good strategy for you to scale through. So even as a gambler, if you eventually venture into oil and gas trading, the same fate still awaits you there because you will still make losses. If you must join trading, you have to learn trading, acquire trading skill first, otherwise you fail. As for me, am not good at trading oil and gas and will find it very difficult to do that, unless on the ground that I will go and learn trading skills.
For now, am into sports betting, though I don't record much profit. But I understand it better than oil and gas trading since I can research on team's stat and bet based on informed decision.

I can only agree with your post and add, that a random person from the street cant join oil & gas trades within few minutes. Google AI tell that I need to "Register with a forex broker that supports commodity trading". Do brokers take random people and give them access to trades so easily? I am 100% sure that random person hardly would access his account to make few oil trading deals because he has 10-15 minutes of free time. Trading require more concentration and knowledge. Gambling rules can fit in 1 sentence.
