Your advice to keep to your own plan is quite useful. I agree that you should buy only amount that you can easily spend and focus on long term, especially as market is unstable and changing in similar way as stock market lately. But everyone need to be careful since crypto scams and bad actions have increased by more than 400 percent this year.
I think the best way of doing well is by thinking of Bitcoin as long term part of your savings and not short term bet. This will all make you correct in that it is reading and asking questions that will keep you on track as market tries to stay above its current bottom.

Have a source of income, business or job.
The most secured bitcoin wallet is open source airgapped hardware wallet, it's better to safe up for one and order it.

Most of the social media personalities OP are there for the clout and making quick bucks. They won't care to the people that follows them but only cares for money.

Some information they say might be real and good but not 100% of what they're going to tell you should be followed because their main concern and priority are themselves.

OP, the first step that I would advise you is to take your time to do your own research on Bitcoin to know if it is convenient for you to invest in. I believe you know that before one puts their money into a business, they carry out their due diligence before they proceed same thing should be applicable to bitcoin to know if you can be able to be patient with the process.

Be open-minded and are always to listen to something new because it is very good for learning and finding new opportunities from learning, investing and many other things. It's only after that, people must verify what they are taught or know from any resources, and verifying it with different resources.

This verifying step is important for double check or triple check which can avoid automatically trust a first resource or opinion while there is chance of it is possibly wrong. I can agree with this.
I have been in bitcoin for 12 years and I do not plan to completely exit yet. I simply hold onto my funds until my financial goals are achieved.
In doing so, I have diversified into other cryptocurrencies but have also invested in promising financial projects outside of crypto, such as start-up projects.
I think we need to overcome the concepts that an ordinary person or investor can only invest and earn in crypto and that we need to have an "open mind" and be open to the many financial and investment opportunities that exist today, and build an investment portfolio that will be broader, more stable and more resilient to risks and market disruptions.

Seeking guidance and support from other experienced people isn’t a crime at all and nothing bad happens when we ask for others support and guidance. The question do you really want to invest in bitcoin?
How much are you willing to invest let say weekly or monthly, investing does not mean you are going to chase the price investing is you will not care if the price goes down or goes up, you will continue to buy like 50 dollars or whatever you are able to produce.
Some people goes to investing and then when the price goes down they panic sell, then when the price goes up they are going to buy and chase, and that is not a healthy investment strategy, ignore the spike, i have read something that from the start he invest 10 dollars he keeps buying and then realized he have profited, i forget where i have read that but if my memory is right that's how he did it.

Most of the people don't know the concept of investing.  What's is important for investing in any asset You need to figure out what's the risk managing strategy.  Investment is not One night Dream it's come with alot of patience and alot of discipline and risk management as well after all you do that's then investment give you profit . But my personal strategy is Dca I believe DCa is one the best strategy for making a good return from any investment.

Advise : start from Fundamental if you know the basics then you are ahead of most of the people after knowing the Fundamental Then start study about Technical and market structure. It's will make you ahead of 30% people and that's things is all about experience If you get experience then you will get my point.

Starting your own Bitcoin journey doesn't have to be complex, I mean there are so many things that you could learn too along the way if you have actually started the journey because that's the most important thing and you don't need all the bitcoin knowledge or any technical aspect as the basic knowledge can get you started and they are lots of thread and information to cover such basic knowledge here in the forum to help you kick start.
