I believe we’ve all been there, where, for example, you have a 10-game accumulator, 9 games have turned green, and you’re just waiting on the last one...only for a 90th-minute goal to wipe out the whole ticket. That's one of the most common heartbreaking "one game spoil." My last experience was recently, when my 3 different tickets were all tied to Italy, and Italy disappointed and ruined all the tickets. That hurts!

I’m curious to know how you guys handle this. Do you just take the loss and move on, or do you have a system to protect your potential wins or subsequent games?

Lately, if my bookies have it, 1. I’ve stopped letting the ticket run to the end, 2. prioritise a single bet or limit the accumulation, and 3. properly vary my selection without being too sure on a team.

I don't have any betting story but I know that so many people have faced this last game spoils ticket pain alot. What I can say or add is that you should always remember that betting is not guaranteed, so I will say that you shouldn't put all hopes on long ticket thinking that it will click or must. Because at the end when one game spoils everything then the pain happens so the only way or the best way is just pause for sometime, calm down and clear your mind and lastly avoid going after another bet with your emotions.

Assuming I have accumulated 10 games and I want to bet on it with $10, I don't go all in with that $10 but what I will do is divide the money into two (maybe 70/30) and they I will stake with $7 first and then restake on the game with $3. By the time 9 games are already successful, the cash out I will have on the one I staked with $7 will be good enough, so I will take the cash out and then let the other one I staked with $3 to play out. That's how I go about it to prevent this last leg luck. Second option is to avoid parlay because you can not control the situation all the time.

Cashing out before the last game is best for me, majority of gamblers has experienced something similar, I've had my first game the only one that ended my ticket, the feeling was quite terrible, however doing 2/5, 3/5 isn't fair with the potential profits given by the sports book. 4/5 is okay but anything less than feels cheated, rather have profits from cashout than doing 3/5, if lucky it falls to the last game on the ticket.

It is part of the game, the 90th minute of the 10th game is costing you the whole leg that must be some near miss and hit, while you can't do nothing about that. The way to move forward is just accept that you came close but not close enough to make it to the glory or you can always choose the cashout option that gives you some part of winnings over nothing which I guess is really a smart move.

Painful for sure but that's what we signed up for it when we wagered and built that leg, so imagine your first game itself costed the ticket would you will worry the same as you do like the 10th one.

Well, you have two options, it you are worried about a cut one and thinking of ways to avoid falling into such situations you can play the bet as a cut one, but your win would be reduced, perhaps to add more value you can stake higher and another thing you can do is to cash out when you make a little profit.

It's like winning a race - it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Conversely, if your bet is for 10 legs you must hit all ten legs or it's entirely worthless. I have seen quite a few bookmakers offering "insurance" on a bet which seems like a good idea if you're going to add so many legs, most people tend to stop at 3 or 4 which usually give juicy enough odds. If the sportsbook allows you to cash out these multibets then you might be better staggering your bets so riskier ones are the last ones to land, that way you could potentially pull out if you change your mind and still have a decent profit. This situation hurts more than anyone I've experienced especially when the games interval are within weeks from the first game to the last one. Amd what hurts more is when the last game has a high probability of playing out and you abandoned the cashout option because you taught it was gonna turn out green. If it just happened, then the best thing is to move one.  Nothing to do there actually since all the ticket matches had been played and the result is already published.

On the system, I only think that the system that can help us in a parlay bet is the early cash out system, otherwise we are under the mercy of "getting lucky", getting all the results right until the end.

I am not a fan of parlay bet so I seldom bet, and oftentimes I mess up on the early or middle match, so it is not as frustrating as the one you stated, where the bet is ruined by the last match result.

Perhaps the only alternative to protect your profits from total lost is the cash out system, I don't think if there is any other existing system for such gaming experience of eliminating potential lost of ruining your entire ticket where certain team is oversight as treat to be the obstacle.

And whether you make it successful or not, you won't have any other choice than to move on because loosing is not a do or die .
For goodness sake winning in gambling also depends on luck no matter how good your strategies maybe. So, you have to move ON and flip the next page.
If you think you can not continue taking a break will be the option.

This is actually when my hands are shaking and when my mentality is being tested. Should I press the cash out button or be brave and stupid and wait for it to end? Most of the time, I try to be stupid and let it go all out, but most of the time, it's a mistake. 
Instincts cannot actually help here because greed is always winning. You want it all. You made that long parlay ticket for the purpose of completing it, so you want to let it end up to the last tail. But the fact remains that we are already a winner if we cashed out, and yet we still choose the wrong way. That's the lesson I learned. Try to be content with some wins.

It is very common in sports betting. The last game spoil is a very painful experince but there is one solution to it, which is cashout. Assuming all the games selected are going as planned, and the last leg is what is left for you to win, this means you will be offered a cashout by your sportsbook, provided that the rest of the game is good to go. Without hesitation, take the cash-out offer if the amount is a good amount. Or if you dont like this strategy, try that of Dr.Bitcoin_Strange. At times, I split my bet into two, one with a higher stake and the other with a lower stake.

Sometimes when I gamble and I find myself in this kind of situation, what I do is to just cashout when I feel like that the last game is not going well or even if I don't feel anything, I will just cashout and free myself from unnecessary pressure, which I'm very aware that anything can take place in gambling, which one will only feel pains and regretful of their action. That is why in gambling instead to having high hopes that all the games will enter, its better to make this decision and avoid repeating the mistakes that keep happening to other gamblers, which often leads them to being addicted to gambling.

You would be absolutely foolish to not hedge your bet for the last leg of a ten-leg parlay bet specially when nine are already a win. You could have place an insurance bet so that you no matter what the outcome is at least you will be guaranteed a nice payout.
BTW, there are some gambling platforms like Stake that offer the protection against this sort of scenario by offering lower odds (much lower).
