Living life is not easy, people want to make it before their time comes, and gambling on the other hand have blessed some individuals that turned into millionaires in a single day or night, it's not hard to understand that many people will want to buy this shovel.

If there is a means of escaping poverty it would be done, gambling have worked for many people and this helps gambling in bringing more people, what people failed to get is that gambling won't favour many.

This whole gambling idea was designed to favour few people and destroy many, there is no way to know if you are one of those very few people, and the best manners of approach is to take things easy, expect too less as a gambler.

Personally, my own stance here is that it can be addictive due to different factors. Dopamine rush, the uncertainty of not knowing when the next win, chasing losses, compulsive gambling, and lastly because of its easy access and technology. And by seeing the increasing rate of suicidal with gambling, therefore I can say that its the most harmful and deadliest addiction in the world.

Are you for real? Gambling is not the world deadliest addiction, it's just a type of addiction that cost you money and actually do ruin your whole life completely if not tamed. Other kinds of addiction does similar things and have their own side effects as well.. gambling is addictive because of how people think of making a fortune using small risk. There's lots to consider, but I think it's the experience of winning that makes a gambler become an addict. When you taste that one good multiplier that made you happy, it will probably make you want to taste it again. Now, it becomes a never-ending cycle of winning and losing, and a gambler will not even realize that he cannot get away from it anymore.
Gambling addiction is not a choice. It's a bad habit that escalated and was not controlled in the first place. In my view and what I have learned about addiction, a person who is addicted does not have a single causal factor in gambling alone, gambling as an activity has several combinations that enable an individual to become addicted, such as psychological, environmental and biological aspects.

This means that addiction is a chronic disease, generally leading to cognitive behavior, which is caused by anxiety, depression or can also be caused by personality disorders due to gambling activities. The mechanism of addiction in individuals is basically metal disorders, gambling has all of that, one of which is defeat and loss including winnings.

If someone spends all day eating, every day, then that person will become addicted to eating and will no longer be able to stop eating until they seek medical help and treatment for food addiction. If a person spends all day consuming alcohol, every day, eventually that person will become addicted to alcohol, and only a doctor could cure them. With this I mean that addiction is a consequence of the abuse of anything.

If someone gambles all day tomorrow and then gambles every day, eventually that person will become addicted to gambling. When people exaggerate, they abuse things. The addiction consumes the person. Gambling is so addictive because of four main characteristics that it possess, they include; financial profitability, satisfaction of pleasure, it gives fun and keeps you on suspense. There are many other activities that can be addictive and those activities has one of these characteristics that I mentioned. If I'm being more specific on this subject, if you remove financial profitability from gambling, it will become less interesting, many people will leave and I doubt if it will even be addictive again.

Winning money from gambling is part of what makes it pleasurable and that's also what highs players urge. Why do you think someone would risk $20k to stake on a 2.5 odd game? The person have an urge to double their money and after they have placed the bet, they are now in a state of expectation and guessing what the outcome should be, winning validates pleasure. What I have noticed in people and from my personal experience,  what really makes gambling to be very addictive is how it plays in our mindset. See even when you lose a game,  your brain keeps telling you that maybe the next round might fix everything,  and that kind of thinking is what keeps you going. Gambling also create this false sense of control,  you will be telling yourself that you can figure it out if you try harder.

And before you know it,  that will now become a habit, you just want to gamble just to feel good, and at this point it's not even about the money anymore. ofcourse the expectation of making money quickly and excessive greed are what makes gamblers lose control. They accept it as a way to make money because of their greed, and then gradually it deepens and becomes a habit, and then gradually we lose our ability to make decisions. In fact, it is important to know our limits and control our time and money, because without these, we can easily fall into the trap of addiction. One of the reasons why gambling is addictive or increases addiction is when gamblers chase losses, this is one of the ways most people got addicted to gambling. Another reason why gambling can be very addictive for some people is that they try to use it as a coping mechanism to deal with depression but this only increases the issue of addiction and dependency.

Actually, not only gambling, but all the things related to greed are basically the last stage of addiction. For example, many people are involved in various major thefts or robberies or murders due to greed, but they are suicidal matters.
And here, the main common point among all is their greed, because of this greed, people initially lose in gambling and later the hope of recovering that loss or winning the jackpot again makes them addicted later. So I will say here that people's greed basically makes them addicted to gambling.

I think the most common reason is human nature's greed.  This triggers all the factors that make gambling addictive.  The reward system that triggers dopamine, the extent of how dopamine is triggered is affected by greed, IMO.  If a gambler is so wanting to win a big amount, and it happens,  the greedier the person is, the more excitement he gets, triggering more dopamine excretion in the brain. From greed, the urge will never stop, making the person gamble more every day.

Another thing is the nature of being lazy.  People see gambling as easy money.  So they think that they do not have to work hard to earn money but just bet on a gambling platform and boom... they may win a huge amount and possibly bigger than their daily payment.

So those are the things that make gambling addictive due to the greedy and lazy nature of human beings.

Games are addictive on their own, made up of achievements you can’t really use in real life apart from gaining fame as a content creator which is even a modern age thing .. some do have real life rewards like the tournaments and co but it’s just like gambling[not really  though] as you have to buy stuffs  , register, compete with others and hope you come out among the best.

Gambling itself added a sure reward system so far you win any of their games rounds and whatever rules attached and so far, their rules aren’t as tough even though it might depend on the category you choose.. this alone contribute to more addictions fmv.

You are correct, and people likes it when they heard of such rewards without verifying the information before going into them, this often attract them to get attach with it, which they will find it hard to stop themselves from gambling but, they have to make the important step for their own benefit and good, and will reduce the risk of addiction, which can possibly be of harm to them, both physically and mentally. One of the things Addiction causes is how it continues to trick someones mind in a powerful way. Those little wins they get and chasing after losses is what keep them hook in gambling.
