In the near future, I want to exchange my Bitcoin for Monero. I recently visited the Mobit exchange website, and read some instructions on how to use it, but I don't really understand about the "Refund Address" field.

I want to know about it, and I have a few questions related to this :

- Is it better to enter my address in the "Refund Address" field, rather than leaving it blank?

I think entering a refund address would be more helpful, especially when I want to cancel a transaction. I read on the website, that a support team is available, but wouldn't it make easier for the support team to refund the funds more quickly? and, if leaving it blank (without inputting the refund address), will it take longer to process the refund?

I would like to know exactly what is going on with this. If you know, or have ever experienced anything related to the refund address, please share it.

Thanks for the question, let me clarify that.

There is no difference in processing times or anything else whether you include the refund address from the beginning or not. If you do not provide a refund address, your order is in queue, and you wish to refund it later you can provide the refund address then. If you provided it from the beginning the refund will go through just fine.

Hello everybody, we have been busy rolling out the Bug Bounty campaign which some of you have already found and linked to (thanks!).

We just put out a minor update with some front-end UI tweaks to improve the mobile experience of the site, among other things. We took note of the issues with the mobile version not only from the bug bounty but also from this thread, as much recent discussion has been focused on. Overall we aim to provide a clean and simple user experience across all platforms our service is available on, which absolutely includes mobile phones. So whether you're a PC power user or you just want to do a quick swap on your phone, it should be a refined experience regardless.

We are continuing to read through and work on issues reported in the bug bounty, and we appreciate everyone who has participated so far. We will keep the thread updated with any important changes, and continue supporting and hearing out the community here. Thanks everyone.

Just did a quick exchange. It was smooth and fast.

It's good to know we can just send any amount as long as it meets the minimum as I personally think this is pretty convenient. Though I'm curious what about the max amount? is it based on reserves? I think this should be noted as well.

Last time we talk about messy text while using phone and it looks better now compare on last especially if we check on API side.

Also great updates made and this show how dedicated your team for listening the sentiments of people and apply those things that can improve users experience when using Mobit.

Just did a quick exchange. It was smooth and fast.

They write the answer of your question in their faqs. So we can assume that they can accomodate more bigger amounts than the figures they have shown.

At MoBit we take pride in our ability to service clients with large orders. Our deep pools of liquidity enable us to support high order size and volume, allowing users to easily exchange $100,000 (USD) unlike other exchanges which might hold funds, cancel orders, or otherwise refuse service without further verification.

That's interesting. Most times I have this feeling that my mobile phone is less secured, the reason I am not always confident using it for crypto related stuffs, unless for banking apps. Although, I have CEXs there but I hardly use them.

~snip~
Habit is a strong factor because when we talk about convenience, it is more convenient to use the laptop but the phone is readily available, even if you are far away from home.

Most people also use the desktop view on the mobile and still get the value desktop users will get.

Phones, in my opinion, are much safer and more secure than PCs infested with malware and viruses, unless you are using a Chinese or clone phone that already has built-in malware and viruses. I always stick to Samsung S series phones and never use Chinese or clone phones, but I have tried these phones and they usually show ads even when you are not using any apps, and your notifications are flooded with malware ads.
On my Samsung phone I never experience those ads that suddenly pop up on your screen. So avoid using Chinese or clone phones when you are going to use that phone for crypto.

Actually, you can also bring a laptop away from home, but a phone is lighter than a laptop.
I understand you and your view about different types of mobile devices. I know all androids are operating on the android software but some are more secure. I am always using Samsung, Xiaomi or Huawei. I do not actually know if China has a hand in any, but I have faced our Huawei and no longer use it.

Talking about security, I wasn't only talking about the soft security. I was talking about physical security also. While travelling or walking in the city, cinemas etc. You could lose your phone, get robbed but your laptop is always secure in the house and robbers breaking in is highly unlikely. Do you understand me well now?

Are you sure the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is safer than the Xiaomi 17 Ultra? Xiaomi doesn't display ads, and cryptocurrency wallets work perfectly fine on it. Any software wallet is unsafe, and for large cryptocurrency amounts, you should use a hardware cryptocurrency wallet in conjunction with it. If a user installs a lot of different software from external apps, they will have security issues on any Android phone.

I am not an iOS/iPhone user, but I have heard that, in terms of providing privacy, it is better than Android programs.
Other than this, I have not used hardware cryptocurrency wallets, but I am considering using them soon for the safety of my crypto assets.
Here, external apps, do you mean open-source applications, or those apps that are installed from the Google Play Store?
As usual, applications that are installed from the Google Play store are mostly considered safe, but those apps that are installed on a mobile phone using external links are unsafe in the majority of cases because they may contain loopholes that may attack your device and lead to high risk.
