The good thing about Android devices is that they allow you to bypass any restrictions. Manufacturers will install software in accordance with the law of the country where these devices are supplied. But after the purchase, you can install any firmware into your phone, and for security it is better to use phones with modern processors.

Right, basically Android is safe even though Google is famous with how they track user activity, but as far as I know, they don't save sensitive data like password, key or pass phrase except user who ask google to save it in their account. This is already become one user mistake in keeping their privacy. Then, with easily giving access and permission to application that installed by them, this add more user mistake but mistake like this considered normal for some people.

Like the incident that shared by Mobit team in X[1] platform, when a trader save up to $200k in exchange and finally exchange provider banned his account. as we know, saving money in exchange is a big mistake, but right now saving money in exchange considered normal by some people. when their account getting banned, they will provide ANY additional data to provider because want his money back.from here, we have to learn and remember if privacy is very important, if cannot keep own privacy, at least save crucial information like crypto asset in own wallet by using privacy exchange to cut tracking. Not for mixing, but to prevent tracking by people that may targeting us.

I've always considered any mobile device unsafe for storing money and trading. Storing important passwords in the cloud, in particular, is the stupidest decision you could possibly make.

I know several traders who have over $200,000 on Binance. They've been blocked on the exchange multiple times. They provide funding sources, tax returns, and other documents several times a year.
With such amounts, trading unofficially on the exchange is impossible.

of course storing large funds on mobile devices or relying on the cloud to store sensitive data has its own risks. However, until now there are still many people store passwords in the browser or cloud. Some of my friends say storing in the browser is better than writing it down. even they are not a trader, but still it's a bad decision for sure.

For traders with a lot of money, the challenge is not only about device security, but also compliance with exchange regulations. The bigger the transaction volume and managed funds, the bigger the possibility the account will go through verification process and additional checking. However, just like the thinking of people who store data in the cloud, they feel safe in the exchange and never learn from the many accounts getting blocked or freeze.

I might not be correct, during reviews, someone noted that a case like yours might arise and MoBit explained how to treat such a matter.
I'll scroll up to confirm.
Something similar happened to me, and the problem was solved, but I received a delayed response from the support team (several hours after the problem was solved). Therefore, I expect the problem to be solved even if you do not receive a response from the support team.

Well that somehow means that sometimes there are issues will occur randomly to some users, but what good thing about those situation is we have seen Mobit rep solve those issues.

So if that situation happened already to few users here, there's provably a great chance that the issue happen to him will also get solve to.

Maybe best to do follow ups and then wait for their action on this case. Hopefully we see him giving an updates that everything is fine and Mobit support help solve his issue.

I have not received a response, and as expected I got much less coins than I was first quoted as a result of the delay.

Good that you had a similar experience, so @yugenz has nothing to worry about.
Meanwhile, the issue of delayed support needs to be addressed by MoBit. Do you remember that it was one of the issues raised here, when I suggested them to integrate an AI assistant if they are in short of man power for their live support. But it was later agreed that if the platform is solid and working efficiently, there wouldn't even be need to many support agents. But since there is a re-occuring issues of delay, MoBit should look their support way.

I have not received a response, and as expected I got much less coins than I was first quoted as a result of the delay.
Glad you received your coins.
Next time you might decide to use the fixed fee method until the delay is fixed.

The thing is that it is sometimes impossible to find the real problem, as we have many apps installed at the same time on our phone, and we can't know where the virus is coming from. These days I am facing this issue, my mobile phone is getting attacked with Trojan virus, but I don't know where it is coming from or what the source of this attack. So, until we can't find the source, we can't report it, right? What do you think?
Uninstall suspicious apps and use only apps gotten from your play store. It could be an app with some malicious codes flagged as Trojan-virus

Oh my bad, I think I forgot to mention that last time while writing the post that every application I have on my mobile phone is directly installed from the Google Play Store. But still, I am facing this issue. This is really something that is more doubtful for me because I am not using any APK file, I am not using any open source software at this moment, but still facing this kind of issue, which is really putting me thinking more on this: why am I facing these attacks in my mobile phone?

Good thing here in this is that my mobile phone luckily detected the virus and reported it to me to uninstall it, but this process has been happening for a very long time. That's why I am looking for a proper solution so that the attacks don't keep happening again and again.

What exactly is your phone model is?
Sometimes there are phones with built-in malware and viruses, mostly Chinese phones. I've already discussed it in this thread. Even if you bought it clean, what about the phone asking for an update? Do you know if the OTA update is clean? The manufacturer would not inform you until someone discovered it.

Xiaomi, Oppo, or smart Chinese phones are known to have preinstalled spyware and malware.

If you have this model, then you are using a not-secured phone unit that is vulnerable to any attacks or infections due to OTA updates that we do not know.

Thank you for reaching out. Occasionally an order gets held up due to updates and improvements we've been making to our system. We apologize for the inconvenience.

With dynamic rate, the exchange rate is locked in when your deposit receives the desired amount of confirmations. Price may move against you or in your favor during this timeframe. This would explain the discrepancy between the quote from the calculate button and the amount you received.

So, while the page says "order will be filled shortly", any price changes in the market will not affect the amount you receive.

Couldn't these updates and improvements be carried out via a backup domain instead of directly affecting users? This isn't the first time.
Or at least implement it in a way that minimizes its impact.

I agree with you, an exchange platform, doing system update directly on live server that is being used for transaction is very risky. implementing staging server for testing first, or at least activate maintenance mode so user cannot execute order during maintenance period, at least to prevented unwanted issues happens. Hopefully this input is really applied in the future. Mobit has announcement thread, just let us know with maintenance schedule here or on website.

Right, they can look at those possible issues will occur if they made those updates on active servers, they better undergo on maintenance mode so they can avoid affecting user with upgrades they made.

If they announce maintenance schedules, for sure that people can prepare on those changes they want to make.

Also I think this is provably the safest approach or set up that they can do, to avoid having any issue which can disappoint their clients.

Good thing here in this is that my mobile phone luckily detected the virus and reported it to me to uninstall it, but this process has been happening for a very long time. That's why I am looking for a proper solution so that the attacks don't keep happening again and again.
I think you have two options here.
1. Change your device entirely
2. Keep uninstalling the trojan when you are prompted by your phone.
A quick solution could be resetting your phone to factory, but you might do it and lose the function that detects the virus.

Why do systems that are already running effectively need some days to effect an update or maintain. I feel like, if it works, don't touch it and improve minor things.

I don't have full knowledge how these things work. Could it be that the team will be working on one thing and another will start misbehaving.
As said above, there should be a way to test updates independent of the main project and when it works, it will be pushed to the main project.

Why do systems that are already running effectively need some days to effect an update or maintain. I feel like, if it works, don't touch it and improve minor things.

Absolutely you are right. Updates or maintenance may take a while, taking several days will disappoint customers and make it look suspicious. And there have been no major issues that would take a long time to resolve. Thinking about their customers and resolving the maintenance work in a very short time will help keep customers confident.

There can be so many explanations behind this one, the brand the region the version or what AV you are using. For example, I have a China based phone, everything, the software, the region is CN. So for me, when I tried to install Binance, the AV flagged it as malicious. But clearly it wasn't the case. And these days, apps from verified sources, official sources aren't safe either. We see so many cases of malicious apps shipped through playstore/app store. The most important thing is, if you can't determine the exact reasons behind these attacks, it's better to factory reset everything and test again whether it shows up. IMO, there aren't any good alternative to this. Of course, you may change devices, but that won't help with the previous issue.

Thank you for reaching out. Occasionally an order gets held up due to updates and improvements we've been making to our system. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Couldn't these updates and improvements be carried out via a backup domain instead of directly affecting users? This isn't the first time.
Or at least implement it in a way that minimizes its impact.

Would have been better of they added some sort of maintenance message when applying these changes/updates. So in this way, users can plan ahead, timing their exchange/swap at the right moment, not having to wait or delay anything..

For big updates well it may have some downtime, but if they manage to do advance announcement maybe people could prepare with those upcoming updates they want to make.

But its rare for sites like Mobit to have such long downtime and they provably don't want that to happen, since they provably know that it can affect their business.

Usually what happen with them also on other is they made an updates and they don't interfere people then they let them continue using their site.

I am using the Vivo Y33s right now. I don't know which app or thing is causing the virus to enter and attack my device. But every time the attack happens, the phone detects it and says to me to uninstall it. But I have been looking for a permanent solution for a very long time. DS, I have been using the same device for a very long time, but nothing like that has ever happened with my device. As far as I remember, I have been facing these Trojan attacks since the month of Ramadan. Now, I think factory reset is the last option here, haha, which I really don't want to do as there are many pictures and video are in my phone that I don't want to lose. I know I can back them up in Google, but my Google storage is running out of space, and I don't want to diversify my data in multiple accounts for backup purposes. And the second option is here, I should change the device that I have been really considering for a long time, and thinking of shifting to IOS.

Would have been better of they added some sort of maintenance message when applying these changes/updates. So in this way, users can plan ahead, timing their exchange/swap at the right moment, not having to wait or delay anything..

This is the most common way to do. If that maintenance is related to the system managed by team, of course they can give maintenance schedule first to the users. so, users can adjust their trading activity if the time is already close with the announced maintenance schedule. But, not all downtime can be predicted or planned. sometimes sudden disruption happen, like server, network, or third party service problem that is outside the team control. In situation like that, previous notification maybe is not possible. However, giving information or status update as soon as possible is still important so user understand what is happening and to prevent something unexpected happen. of course, no service is perfect, but from a mistake, service provider can brought better service everyday.

Like I said, any Chinese phones are much more vulnerable to any attacks. Vivo phones are included since this is a Chinese phone.
Samsung in the S series is way more secure; you can bring your wallet apps to the Knox folder for an extra layer of protection and never put any suspicious app in the folder to keep them safe.

If you are looking for a permanent solution, switching to another brand is the solution and nothing else since we do not know how Vivo manufacturers release any OTA updates.
Using a VPN won't solve anything; it only hides your IP and the current device, but having malware and viruses still depends on the phone and the sites you access.

Before now when there was high level of sincerely, projects can go offline for days without suspicion. Just because of the viral scam happening now, people will begin to panic once a project goes offline for a while.

The best solution so far even if it might not be budget friendly. But changing the device will save him the stress and anxiety associated with being attacked very often.
As said, Samsung is a good option for you but it will definitely cost more

This is a very interesting situation. Are you planning to buy a more modern phone with a more secure chip?

Hard reset your Android phone and install trusted apps. If your built-in antivirus displays a warning, it could be a software issue.

If you don't want to replace your old phone, consider purchasing a compatible hardware crypto wallet.
