The FAO states that only transaction data is stored for 15 days. The site creates logs of when a user logs in, when they click the exchange button, and their IP address. Or is this not the case?

The FAO states that only transaction data is stored for 15 days. You meant FAQ, right? Yeah, that's right. They state that they store it for 15 days, probably for purposes of refund in case of a failed swap. The site creates logs of when a user logs in, when they click the exchange button, and their IP address. Or is this not the case?
Their privacy policy states that they don't collect or store non-personal data such as IP addresses, browser type, etc. It's just the transaction data

They say they do not, but nobody outside their office actually knows for sure. Technically, they have the capability to log every single byte of that data and then some. They could also just choose to wipe it instantly. At the end of the day, its a black box run on their own servers. So it all comes down to whether you trust their word.

You mean what logs they record? Or when they record them? Like, the IP address is recorded when we open the site. It is true for every site, whether they personally record it or not. No one, especially exchanges, would like to record anyone's IP personally, but there are DNS and other online services which record that, and even Mobit.exchange has explained this. You can find it on the first page of the ANN. The wording in Section 5.5 is there to reflect the realities of web infrastructure and jurisdictional access controls, not to imply that MoBit collects and stores personal user data. As with any online service, certain network-level information may exist at the ISP, DNS, server, or hosting-provider level, which is outside of our control. MoBit itself does not collect personal user information as part of the swap process.
The other logs related to our transactions are deleted after 15 days, that's what they said, and they definitely meant that as well. The data stored is mostly for the refund purposes only, as discussed on the last page as well. After 15 days, we delete tx hashes and addresses of orders. Therefore, we cannot process any refunds for orders that are older than 15 days. This policy is for the user's privacy and general security.

The footer on the website's UI has been fixed. Our policy of not completing flat rate orders if market fluctuates by 2% is now consistently stated across the website. Captcha issues have been fixed. BitMixList has conducted a review of the Mobit exchange.
Thank you for your review, we deeply appreciate it. We have fixed this issue and now RBF transactions will be correctly detected and completed. Our continual thanks goes out to our beloved community for your feedback, reviews, and for being a part of this journey.

My bad, I should have written the full form. LOG meant to say Letter of Guarantee (thanks hosemary, for your reply). In it, we can see when our deal is going to expire, although if a timer is mentioned on the deal page as well, then that would be a lot better, really. But still, what I meant to say is, when a deal is about to end, like if its time is 35 minutes or whatever, then maybe a normal practice exchange has a script for rechecking whether the TX even took place or not. So after the window is cleared, the exchange's backup script checks that, and that was the one that confirmed your TX instead of the main process or script which was supposed to. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I now understand that you meant the Letter of Guarantee, which I downloaded and verified. The expiry time wasn't 35 minutes; it was three hours. But the tx appeared in 35 minutes and took around 50 minutes, or maybe an hour, to reach 10 confirmations. There was no problem with the exchange, as I said, except for the delay. I don't know how other exchanges check the transaction, but MoBit detected my deposit within a minute, I guess. But then, I had to wait this long, and it was showing as filling the order, if I am not wrong. As for the failed exchange, I provided my refund address when I initiated the swap. So, I guess I would have received the USDT back to my address if the swap failed.

Happy to be here really, seeing a platform grow like this made every member happy because after some time, they will be the best choice among others, if they are not already. The team's own efforts have more weight when they come clean and are transparent about everything. That's what I have seen makes them more loved by the community. The review NotaTether shared was very thorough and helpful. Also, I am glad that the issues reported or suggestions are now being implemented.

Exchange: Bitcoin to USDT ERC-20 Time: The exchange was completed approximately 5 minutes after the second transaction confirmation; I didn't encounter any difficulties during the exchange process. The service detected my transaction immediately after I sent it.

Captcha issues have been fixed.
I can also see that the "exchange" button and captcha now comes after the receiving coin and address field in mobile, and not before, like it was previously, and as such was a little bit confusing. Good job fixing minor issues like this to ensure the platform is easy and seamless to use for everyone.

Captcha issues have been fixed.
I can confirm that; the situation is much better now. I have a question about how long data is retained. Yes, transaction data is stored for 15 days. If an error has occurred with your transaction, please contact support within this timeframe. It was mentioned that data is stored for 15 days, but it wasn't stated whether it will be deleted after that, or if there's a way to delete it before 15 days, or any method to verify this.

I don't think there is a way to manually delete it before 15 days. They have this policy to give customers time to make a complaint and maybe request a refund or other whatnots, if they have any problem with their transaction. After 15 days, they delete all of the details of the transaction, including transaction hashes and the addresses tied to the transaction. Here is a post confirming this: After 15 days, we delete tx hashes and addresses of orders. Therefore, we cannot process any refunds for orders that are older than 15 days. This policy is for the user's privacy and general security.

I think 15 days is more than enough for anyone to ask for support if they face any issue, as long as the data is safe a user shouldn't worry that the log isn't deleted before 15 days. They've added that time frame so users can ask for help if they need. After 15 days they delete all details of the transactions for user's own privacy, and I don't think there's any need to have manual option to delete transaction data before 15 days. I know the ones who give high importance to privacy might want to delete the data as soon as they receive the payment on their addresses but still it's okay if such data is stored for 15 days and later gets deleted automatically.

Even if an exchange offers this option to allow users manually delete transaction data right after the completion of the swap, you cannot be 100% sure that the data isn't logged somewhere in their system, until their own designated timeframe to delete it. So this is why i wouldn't worry too much about this, i'll just allow the platform handle things in the way they said they would in their terms of service.

Very good thinking but there are people who are always in hurry and such people want to delete the LOG as soon as they receive the payment because they think if the data remains at the servers it could somehow affect their privacy. I also don't think about such data and allow the system that's set by the exchange to delete the data after 15 days or whatever period they've selected for the automatic deletion. It's also true that even if someone deletes the transaction data the log might still be somewhere stored in the servers of the platform but if they offer manual deletion of such data then they might not store it. But again I believe a user should not have access to such data because if by mistake they manually delete the data and somehow face an issue with transaction later then they won't be able to get any support.

If I am not wrong then not a single instant, or no KYC exchange, has this feature where users can request to delete their data after making a deal. I might be wrong, so if you have any exchange in mind that can actually do this then please mention. But so far I don't think there is any. The question HugeBlack was asking was mainly if they even delete the data or not, like saying we keep data for 15 days and saying we delete the data after 15 days is different. As what he quoted says Stored, not deletes, so that might be his concern which Coyster has already cleared, also it is mentioned in the terms as well. Order information, including transaction hashes and addresses is deleted 15 days after order creation. Source

I tried reaching you via PM four hours ago but still haven’t received a response. There’s a guy whose exchange is currently stuck with you. I have the order ID and all the necessary information, and I’ve confirmed that it’s legitimate.
Please reply to me by PM I’m still waiting.
Also, you should consider improving your support contact methods by adding SimpleX as a contact option. And improve your online time. For example, if something happens more serious, we may need to wait at least one day for a response.
Best regards, — Trêvoid

b1eXch has that feature. In b1eXch, the exchange data is automatically deleted after 15 days, and users are allowed to delete the data earlier if they want to. For more information, you can visit b1eXch's FAQ.

I've used several services, but MoBit.Exchange is the only one that consistently receives this many stuck orders. The problem started the first day I used the platform in April and continues to this day, I hope this issue can be resolved so that these orders decrease.

Customer support has also been relatively slow. https://kycnone.com/threads/took-so-long-to-get-my-xmr-mobit.42/Hey icopress, could you reach out to Mobit? Since you’re the escrow, do you have his SimpleX or another way to contact him? He still hasn’t replied to me.

I carried out a swap of BTC for ETH earlier on, and the order went through. Initially, the confirmations did not instantly reflect on the deposit status page like the other services I used before, but when they did, the swap was processed, and my Ether arrived promptly. Maybe specific pairs are the ones affected?
