Maybe a thread like this might have been created however sharing our views on this matter is a good idea.
Growing up as a child, going to school was one of the big dreams in my society (how about yours?) and parents are glad to have a child graduate from higher institute. But as for now school is scam is a phrase that some or many adults and parents say, even some teenagers and primary/basic school children easily say it.

In as much as going to school is not required for a good living or to make as much money as possible,
Is the academic institutions (basic/primary, secondary and tertiary) not longer relevant or important to humanity?
Because school is a scam encompasses all academic institutions and other learning institutions that has a certain level of academic settings.
Is school a scam?

For sure, a lot has changed in citadels/institutions of learning just to fit into the changing world but

Definitely, school is not for everyone as of the higher institutions particularly, but whether primary, secondary or tertiary  and other learning institutions with school settings they are all schools or learning institutions and one can't be a  scam while the other is not.

I don't know how others will view my opinion on this, as far as I'm concerned school is not a scam and can never be a scam because if really you went to school and your concentrate on what take you there, it will be very difficult for you to come back with nothing, there will be one or two lessons that you will learn and which will be very useful for you in future.

Academics institution is relevant to the humanity especially now that everything has now went from analog to digital, if the institutions are not there how can we even call it a learning center, assuming in the old days we will say that they are not opportunity to have all those things available to us now.

People that are shouting that school is scam are people that still belive with a memory of after school they will have a job, after school you start making money and finally after school you live a better life. School is beyond all that but since they limited their thinking that is why they could not even think further, acquiring knowledge is very important in our lives.

School is important, almost everyone wants to go to the best university, it's just that due to economic limitations, they can't go to their dream school, there are some countries where school is free, especially getting special scholarships to go to college.

With school you can get a broad insight, become smart, this way you can work in a big company or you can become a professor or profession that you aspire to with the purpose of school can be accomplished if you are diligent.

I have nothing against school and gointo school, I have and will never consider it a scam. It is just that these modern day schools do not prepare students and children for the real world challenges they'll face. They just train them according to the way society and the system wants. Reasons why I say a big shout out to parents who ensure they know the details of whatever been taught to their children.

Wrong, that is what they are doing since the beginning.

That's an extreme though, I would agree with some part of it but school does the job that it is supposed to do, give knowledge that is necessary for a kid to know and basic concepts of every subject. And if not for school I doubt anyone would develop the skill of writing, it may not look needed anymore, but I guess we need to know even if we can just type them.

Schools are becoming business but it used to be a service, still you can find schools that is worthy of getting graduate but we are now having schools and colleges everywhere that is producing millions of graduates. However, the problem comes with the job, not everyone is going to get a job that is why they call it as scam.

But school is not to get a job but to develop the survivial and social skills that you need to develop from there to something that will make you stand out among the crowd.

These notion “school is a scam” is conceived from the idea of people who believe that once an individual goes to school and graduated then such people are automatically going to have money or better still secure a job and get made for life. So when this idea isn’t achieved they labeled school as a scam. But the truth is going to school is not a guarantee that one must become rich because obviously there are so many individuals who are extremely rich today not by going to school. If you look at the entertainment or sports industry you’ll find at least 50% of musicians or footballers who doesn’t attend college but they are extremely rich today. So the better we remove that mindset of thinking that if you go to school you’ll automatically become rich or get a job the better so that they can stop labeling school as a scam because school is never a scam, there’s no way an individual will go through the process of schooling and graduate in higher institutions and your life and behavior will remain the same, your thinking will change if I my ask the Op assuming your parents didn’t enroll you through school right from when you were in kindergarten through high school how would you be able to know how to read and write talk more of putting down this article together.

School is not a scam and as for those that have gone to school and has made fortunes for themselves through the academics they passed through to reach those stages, they’ll tell you that school is not a scam and it has its own day that it’ll intercede for you.

For many people that calls school a scam, they must have faced some kind of real life situation where the school they’ve been to and learned through education and the knowledge impacted into them could have come through for them, but due to how things function out of the four walls of the classroom, it doesn’t favour you with the education even more than it favours those that knows people or have the power to do what they want.

Let’s change the narrative that school is a scam, you might not benefit through school now or later, just have in mind that whatever the case may be, your knowledge isn’t for waste and it’ll has its day that it’ll come through for you.

Well, it's not exactly a total scam, because you still get a decent job depending your personal skills and performance after all, but the way it's being promoted and practiced is indeed a scam. Universities these days (most of them) work solely to generate a living to people who work there. There isn't commitment with the educational process and the quality of the courses.

There aren't meaningful conversations and discussions. It's a factory of degrees.

And then the scam part comes into the scene, as many students are encouraged to study by the false belief they are going to be absorbed by jobs market. It seems only a minority is employed after the graduation, while the rest of the professionals have to get used to low paying jobs.

It's not just that though, people are going to college and majoring in worthless degrees like gender studies or liberal arts; degrees that have almost ZERO job prospects post-graduation, putting students in massive debts they will never be able to pay off and they also end up working a job that never required a degree to begin with.

You should really only go to college if you plan on studying STEM or law, as those fields have the best job markets available today; you can also go and study in community colleges and learn a trade, as those too have a LOT of job openings. If you go to college and major in shit like gender studies, then you have no one else but yourself to blame if you end up never finding a job.

school is not a scam. but don’t think that having higher education gives you 100% guarantee that you’ll land a high paying job immediately after graduating. school definitely helps but it’s not end all be all.

School is  stair of a human.Here learn  people  how to behave and communicate in formal. Nowadays, few schools are open to charity.There have no full term rules and routine to student.These are just for show up society and corporate investor.
From my personal perspective i think,school is beneficial  when it’s circumstances all staff are  positive to students  not profit.

I think the reason for such statements is because schooling has been associated with being wealthy or having a means of survival after the process because I remember when I was very small we do not only imagine but were told by our parents and well meaning people that if we go through the process of schooling from elementary to tertiary we'll get well paying jobs, be well established and things will automatically go well for us. Thereby shifting the main purpose of schooling to something else meanwhile schooling is a basic necessity of a child, it is the right of the child to be educated as it helps to develop critical thinking ability and also enlightens so that you'll be able to make reasonable decisions, set goals, plan well and achieve those goals. Being educated does not mean automatic success rather, it gives you the tools to be successful.

No matter what we are or what discipline we want to pursue or are in, you need an amount of knowledge, education and understanding to do it well and properly. And school is one place that offers cognitive reasoning and orientation to do things rightly. Outside reading and writing, school roofers solutions to societal knowledge and otherwise through critical thinking and analysis. So, if school is a scam, how do you build and guide yourself to such growth and development towards knowledge? Teachers are still being teachers but the reason of school has changed a lot, but we are still sticking with the old system that is 100 years or even older that is not going to help in shaping a kid in the way they wanted.

So the system needs to be overhauled to the current trend and kids need to be taught about how to think not to memorize stuff, and write correct answers only to end up in a job that is completely unrelated to what they have learned in their entire life.

School gives you basic knowledge, discipline and exposure, but real success now also depends on skills, connections and opportunities outside school. someone can go to school and still struggle financially, while another person learns a skill like tech or business and does well without formal education.
