Generally school for kids is a scam. The 3 real reasons for school as it is are:
1. Indoctrinate the kids to literally sit for hours at a time, with only a few breaks here and there. Useful for office work later.
2. Teach the kids reading and writing so that they can be propagandized by government and sales groups, properly.
3. Teaching the propaganda directly in school.

Your thoughts on children's schooling, how knowledgeable skills can be gotten at homes by enrolling them into some hours of lessons and tutoring is very understandable but I think going to school is beyond acquiring academic knowledge and skills. Schools are like a shaping centre where all kinds or different level of understanding are present which helps in motivating and challenging children to meet up to the societies requirements and also morals and other related matters which can't be gotten at home will be impacted to them there in schools.

School is a scam to scammers, I know a lot of young guys who don't take school seriously not because they are not smart but because they think it's a waste of their time. Most of these young guys are into internet fraud which we call "Yahoo guys" in Nigeria, they believe that the basic reason why people go to school is to learn, graduate and get a job. Without being formally educated they can scam people online and offline, make a lot of money and live expensive lifestyles. Some of them that attend higher institutions goes to lectures in expensive cars and bribes lecturers to give them grades so they won't have carryover courses.

Education is not a scam if you cannot afford to be educated in a four walls classroom you don't need to sit and do nothing, you can learn a skill, it is also a part of education. We need enlightened people in our societies that is why education is important not only to get a job after graduation.

There is one way present school for children is not a scam. If they are thinkers, they are learning the indoctrination methods. And, they might be learning street smarts at the same time.

What the society is today is far different from what it was in the times of our parents , those days school was like the only way to get a better life .but today the case is different ,young people have seen school as a waist of time ,when there's a faster way to make the money people go to for 4 years or 5 years as the case may be,and still end up in the streets or begging for government jobs and wait for years to get them and when they finally do they get peanuts as pay,for young people i think the Internet and what it offers contributed to this saying of school is a scam. .they are like why take a long and stressful route when there's a short cut to make the money we need to go to school to make.

It's only those that haven't gone through the four walls of the university that will sit back to bash the schooling system making it look like it's a complete waste of time. School is not a scam and has never been one. Apart from what you're learning, the schooling system exposed you to knowledge, people and systems that are useful to you throughout life.

In a society where the schooling system actually works and the right structure is in place, it makes a lot of difference that the youth endergoes a proper schooling system.

School is important, almost everyone wants to go to the best university, it's just that due to economic limitations, they can't go to their dream school, there are some countries where school is free, especially getting special scholarships to go to college.

With school you can get a broad insight, become smart, this way you can work in a big company or you can become a professor or profession that you aspire to with the purpose of school can be accomplished if you are diligent.

This depends on the school, schools can be a scam for those who want to learn, by having teachers who are not in accordance with their competence, making learning not conveyed properly, this happens a lot.
If the teacher's qualifications match their competence in teaching then the school is not committing fraud as an educational institution, because there is money involved as well as education, and you should know there is no free tuition because teachers need to be paid every hour, if not using your personal money, then using the tax money you pay to the government or from companies to finance students if the teacher does not provide education properly then the teacher is like eating a salary that does not match his ability.
 
The problem of the grading system, where there are many schools that do not give grades according to their abilities, let's dissect it!

Teachers give lessons according to the modules provided, then teachers give exams to students according to their majors, after that the same teachers also give grades to their students, and on the other hand the survival of teachers in schools and the good and bad of schools depends on the grades obtained by students, If the grades are bad then the school is considered bad and the teachers there are considered incapable of educating, because the situation is like that, teachers and schools overvalue students, students with poor grades are raised in order to have a learning process report in accordance with the mandate of education standards, when in fact it is only the result of manipulation of teachers and schools themselves.

If the teaching and learning assessment process was tested by a third party as an assessment institution, this would be much better in seeing the development of each student whether the education module was delivered or not, all of this would be clear and would not be considered fraud.

Honestly, to me the phrase school is a scam seems like a bit of an overreaction. Yes not everyone gets big money or success directly from school but school is not just about making money. It is a place for basic thinking, discipline, and developing as a person. Without these many things in life become difficult later on.
I think the problem is not school, but expectations. We think that life is set when we go to school, but in reality we have to learn a lot on our own, So if someone says school is useless, that is not entirely true. Again it is also true that relying only on school will not work, you have to build your own skills.

There are those who has actually been through the four walls of the university, graduated with excellent grades but has only used their certificates to decorate their shelves. With all the education and grades, they’re still living like they never stepped their feet in school, even those who managed to get a job, or get into some kind of business are into something that’s not in anyway related to their discipline in school. So yeah someone in this classification would eventually have that mindset that he simply wasted his time going to acquire a certificate.

In a working government where there's employment after graduation, school is never a scam to its citizens because there is work and a lower unemployment rate in those countries.

It's mainly in countries where there's a high unemployment rate, no work after graduation that some of its citizens regard school as a scam because of the years and money spent to acquire a degree that would not be used to get a good paying job. Despite that, school will never be seen as a scam because through it we learn how to read, write, and communicate with people easily without feeling less of ourselves of not knowing our civil rights and ways to defend them in the society we live in

So merely looking at the definition of scam you will know that school is not a scam, school is where we further our education/studies to acquire more knowledge. I think it's best if the schools are always been the foundation of the knowledge. But to dictate how life of the students will be is going to be different in how we interpret the knowledge that they can acquire from there, from their parents and as well as from their personal experiences. IMHO, school/education is still important. You'd see how people who's hard to interpret with their beliefs but when someone who's knowledgeable and have applied some basics from what they've learned in school including the foundational lessons that includes humanities and respect(although this should start from home), they would understand why a person thinks like that and how they've ended up with some odd beliefs and understanding towards things.

Unemployment should not be the reason why people should now take education for granted all because they are from countries that do not value education, school is never a scam it is those who do not see value in their certificates that would regard all they went through and the knowledge they have as a scam because they depend on the government to get a job. Elementary school and high school are a scam, because properly taught, everything you learn there could be taught more efficiently in a third of the time. In addition, some things are taught don't have to do with knowledge. Rather, they have to do with indoctrination into perversion, or somebodies' political thinking, in ways that if the parents understood, they would immediately pull their children out. Many parents have pulled them out already.

Colleges and universities are a scam because they often teach theory as though as it is reality, when it is simply more deeply ingrained indoctrination.

Trade schools are some of the best school. Formerly we had apprenticeships (still have a few), and children working in the family trade along side their parents... a way better training method.

When they see unemployed educated people they see school as a scam because it's not a guarantee of work and living good life. In other countries where things are working the people will never insult the value of education to the society, without education there will be no development, school isn't a scam but a place where one study to produce solutions to the problem of the society.  Being educated is an added advantage don't let undereducated people to talk down on the value of education.

Modern government school is a scam. The proof for almost all aspects of modern government being a scam is very simple and everyone can understand this. Instead of looking at the before and after results of any given government project, it is blindly assumed it must have been a success. Using violence to solve problems should be done sparingly and carefully. However, modern government uses extortion to fund schools. Then, they don't do a before and after study to determine if they actually helped anyone. What was literacy rates before any given extortion-funded school and after any given extortion-funded school? You'll never have a net benefit from something fundamentally immoral in the long term. So, school is not a scam, but School is a scam.

People say "I'm from the government and I'm here to help". But they don't, they just assume them self helpful as they line  their pockets, reward their friends, and punish their enemies as the politician's mantra.

When governments stop doing to others things that for any individual would get them in prison for many years, then society will improve. Equal rights are an essential part of civilization. So, I wouldn't say we have authentic civilization anywhere in this world as of yet.
