Generally school for kids is a scam. The 3 real reasons for school as it is are:
1. Indoctrinate the kids to literally sit for hours at a time, with only a few breaks here and there. Useful for office work later.
2. Teach the kids reading and writing so that they can be propagandized by government and sales groups, properly.
3. Teaching the propaganda directly in school.

Altogether, indoctrination will still take place whether in school or special classes.
The point you raise is more reason why mothers in particular should not be totally over engaged that they can't have time for their kids to teach them at the kid level. But then wondering, when you say kid what age range do you really mean? Because in my case, talking about kids here i am pointing to the first five years of a child's life and then school can start helping the parents afterward.

‎School can never be a scam no matter how strong the phrase sound. Before now, people go to school so they can have a better job and earn money when they graduate. This is one of the  perspective of school that is not real in this society or this generation which brought out the phrase 'school is scam'.

Right now I see school as a place for advancement, enlightenment, and a place to to teach you basic knowledge and exposure you to your dream but not in expectation of getting a job but equipping oneself for better opportunities. No, i didn't consider school as a scam. I think why we saw people saw it as a scam is due to our country and leaders, who don't really plan good for the young generations, in some countries once someone graduate from school with your certificate there'll be a job for you but in this country there's no such thing. This is the point where we always get it wrong by bringing education in the conversation of wether or not school is a scam. The schooling system Is getting outdated but the formal education is still a neccesary part of humans development. In my own opinion who ever said school is a scam must have gone through some bad experience or feelings that makes them conclude that school is a scam. The motive to going to school determines the results that one gets after graduating from shoo.
Someone who went to school out of compulsion or because the parents have some investments that requires a graduate to handle without a personal convinction that he or she needs to be learnered aside post or offer available.

One of the reason why that ideology was brought up was that some persons thinks ones a person has been into the university and graduate that the person is supposed to get a job immediately and start earning income, the saying that school is a scam was brought up by some Nigerians who made money as a non graduate while those who went to school beg them for money. I think the real problem is that most people who go to school now only focus more on making good grades and graduating with those good grades, and then they ignore the main reason why they are in school. Even without good grades, there are several other benefits one can still achieve by going to school, but not everyone looks towards that direction, so when they eventually focus on the grades, maybe even cheat to secure those grades and graduate with those grades but without any experiences, all they have to offer is the grades and not the required skills and knowledge.

I couldn't agree more with this sentiment. I think the "School is a scam" slogan is a symptom of people confusing the "Degree" (the paper) with the "Education" (the process).
There is a massive difference between the two:

• Schooling: Formal enrollment, structured curriculum, and the chase for a certificate.
  
• Education: A lifelong process of watching, doing, and solving real-world problems.
  

The "scam" argument usually stems from the fact that a degree is not a guaranteed ticket to success. Formal education gives you the structure, but it’s your curiosity and skill-set that actually build your future.
If you go to school just for the paper, you might feel scammed. If you go for the foundation, you’re making an investment.

Maybe a thread like this might have been created however sharing our views on this matter is a good idea.
Growing up as a child, going to school was one of the big dreams in my society (how about yours?) and parents are glad to have a child graduate from higher institute. But as for now school is scam is a phrase that some or many adults and parents say, even some teenagers and primary/basic school children easily say it.

In as much as going to school is not required for a good living or to make as much money as possible,
Is the academic institutions (basic/primary, secondary and tertiary) not longer relevant or important to humanity?
Because school is a scam encompasses all academic institutions and other learning institutions that has a certain level of academic settings.

I don’t think school is a scam. I see it more like a booster for a progressive mind and a starting point for young people. School gives you structure, basic knowledge and exposure, but what you do with it later is what really matters. think of school like a gym. If the trainers, which are teachers in this case, are skilled and motivated and the environment is good, you will grow strong and develop well. But if the trainers are not paid well or don’t care, then people won’t get good results. That is why you see many private schools doing better, they invest in their teachers and in return, they produce better students.

One of the major lie a lot of people who began going to school were sold and which became the motivating standard for many graduates today was that , they were told that school was the only way to get rich, if you're not educated you may never have the opportunity to be rich. But then, a lot of people have gone to school with the aspirations of making it through with their certificate from school but the real world made them realise otherwise. It made them realised that there are many ways to be rich and just going to school isn't just enough but just a necessity.

Let me use this group as an example, if not that will went to big or small school to learn how to read and write I don't think it would have be easy for all the crypto users because this English language is what is making the  whole world know that crypto can contribute to the development or growth of a nations. School is still an important factor in the society, it just doesn’t guarantee success like people used to believe. That’s why many people now say school is a scam, it is all out of frustration.

School gives you basic knowledge, discipline and exposure, but real success now also depends on skills, connections and opportunities outside school. someone can go to school and still struggle financially, while another person learns a skill like tech or business and does well without formal education.

School still has value no doubt, it helps people learn basic things, build discipline and it open people’s eyes to different opportunities. But it’s not an automatic ticket to success like years back. The reason why people are saying school is scam, is mostly because of frustration. Imagine going to school, and graduate but  no job or no money as expected. It’s very frustrating. So, school is important also learning a skill is also important, since there’s no job, it’s better you learn a skill such as, tech, business, or handwork. This will sustain you for the main time. But if you focus on your certificate to get you a life changing job, you’re wasting your time because people who have a skill will make money than you. So for me, school is not a scam, if you combine school and skill, you have the chances to make it in life. But if you rely only on school certificate, it will be difficult for you to succeed.

Well some people who went to school having that mentality that school was their only escape from poverty are regretting today because they never knew that the government had made no plans to give them a better job after going to school.
