Disappointing that a lot of the recipients of my merit scholarship program were of course alt accounts that didn't really go on to do anything but get caught cheating here or there. Lol. You can't do anything generous for the community without it getting thoroughly taken advantage of.

Rather, for your "brothers and sisters," it will look more like a disadvantage than a virtue.

I don't own or operate those accounts tagged to me. Rather they were people I introduced to this forum a few months after I got to this forum. This is in all honesty, even though it may not look plausible now.

I see here as a place of opportunities to learn and earn. I'm one who like to share every available opportunity I find with others. I don't hoard things.

I talked to some of those I could reach out to about this forum shortly after I registered here in 2017. Some got in and registered. Many of them who registered left after a while but a few remained and continued grinding.

Gozie51 is someone I know on a personal level. Both of us used to learn Forex trading together back then.

So, when I stumbled on this site in my pursuit for crypto knowledge I also introduced him to it. He was the very first person I brought to this forum.

The Palle11 dude was a random person I met online in a WhatsApp group I belonged for FX trading which combined with multilevel marketing business I was into then. I was virtually telling everyone I knew who wanted to earn extra income about Bitcoin and this forum then. I was that excited.

At some point after Gozie started earning on signature campaign, he became pessimistic and doubtful that Bitcoin was actually money as he couldn't find a place to exchange it. All this was happening at the time Bitcoin wasn't popular in my country. Getting where to exchange it for fear of scam was an issue for him. My local fiat wasn't even on any exchange then. It was solely a few online groups that were into P2P with my local fiat. I bought it off him to resell in a P2P group. I later introduced him to the group just the same way I did with the Palle dude too so they could be exchanging directly with merchants by themselves and not go through me anytime they wanted to transact. It was purely a P2P group. The two other address were obviously from merchants we traded with in that group.

I've tried this morning to see if I could get my discussion with Gozie then on WhatsApp to that first link but that's not possible. It's been almost nine years ago.

As for the merits, those two accounts weren't the only ones I merited their posts and they merited back subsequently. Those posts I merited were deserving of merit by my standard.

If there are anything you will want me to provide as evidence to prove my case, I'm ready to do that once it's something I can lay my hands on.

It's normal for people to come up here with an excuse when caught up. Never mind, you can introduce this forum to anyone for learning or earning; it's not a crime. But have you left any neutral or positive feedback on their profile when they joined? It's normal practice to avoid problems for the future if someone is blamed for alt accounts. I have recently introduced two people to the forum and left neutral feedback on their profiles since I know them in real life.

You may have your own multiple alts; the forum doesn't prevent creating alts. But you can't abuse the forum system with alts like merit trading, and also you aren't allowed to enrol in same campaigns with multiple account. No one's going to believe your story; you know about the forum. Whoever exposed then definitely came up here with an excuse; if we trust them, then no one's going to get tagged for alt accounts. Hope you learnt a lesson from here.

I've always maintained my stance on this issue of multiple accounts. To me I think it was a great mistake for this forum to clearly stated "having multiple accounts is allowed". That was the beginning of cheating. You can not issue a gun to someone and then prohibit them from shooting. It's almost impossible rule to abide by because someday and somehow, they might be triggered and fire the gun. Then different explanations will follow like "ah it was a mistake" "I was only defending myself" etc.
Opening the forum for multiple accounts automatically gives room to cheating. How confident are we that anyone with multiple accounts will be willing to forfeit other accounts when all are accepted in one campaign? I'm not sure there's any. No matter the explanation, I will assume they have gotten that opportunity else they'll keep mute and continue to milk the campaign until they get caught or the campaign ends. I haven't seen but is there any case of someone giving up a slot because multiple of their accounts were accepted in a campaign? They always get caught.

The problem isn’t having alts but what you choose to do with your alts mate.
Having alts doesn’t guarantee you must cheat or break forum rules with those alts, I mean the likes of LoyceV has an alt account, but is he doing anything wrong with the alt? the only thing is that, since having alts might eventually bring about some complications, it’s best to avoid it, and try to be transparent with your dealings with other accounts, especially when it involves exchanging transactions via wallets because right now, forgetting to do that could make you take the fall for someone else’s misconduct even though it’s obvious you’re innocent.

All right. Allowing alternative accounts to exist is a doorway to fraud.
Ultimately, maintaining multiple accounts here, as on other financial sites, must be extremely difficult. If people try to circumvent such restrictions, it will only make them smarter and more aware, since not being linked to a second account requires careful and scrupulous posting of information.

Exactly as well as "winding up" the number of visitors to the forum. Maybe it was relevant when Bitcoin was just starting to enter people's lives, but now you shouldn't deceive others with the number of visitors. For those who care about it, quality is important, not quantity.

I have seen this thread but been busy to respond on the matter. I have been in burial ceremony from morgue.

It is unfortunate what my doubt about bitcoin is bringing up now after about 9 years. After I realized this forum is anonymous in nature as a newbie, I have tried to keep the identity of my mentor (Mpamaegbu) in this forum as discreet as I can just like many other newbies here.

Back then, when I was introduced to this forum to learn and earn, I got registered but didn't understand what was going on or how possible to begin to earn not to talk of converting or selling coins to get Naira. At a point, I was discouraged because of same disbelief and I stopped posting- That was the reason I didn't meet the default merit at that time because I didn't have corresponding activity to rank up to another level automatically.

So I felt bad when Mpamaegbu approached me again, told me he had ranked up because he was active with posting, of course with activity to go with it. I told Mpamaegbu my challenge was how to go about selling my reward (btc) if I get them because I don't know how btc can become money at that time. He encouraged me and when I got my weekly pay, he transferred equivalent Naira to me and I sent out the btc to him.

This is quite a long time and it was an innocent help and assistant.

When you have a culture of cheating with little scrutiny infested with 3rd world people, what do you expect? Read some statistics (and they include a huge dark number, therefore the real situation is several times worse) what many legal and illegal migrants in the European Union or the USA are doing.   It is unfortunate for your program, but it should be a lesson to not be too generous to the general userbase, but rather do limited and targeted stuff.

Yes, it seems that there is a surplus of accounts and not enough campaign seats recently. Whenever a new position opens up in a campaign that I follow, 99% of the recent applicants are complete shitposters that have easily earned merit whereas you can find lower ranked members that write good posts that do not even get 10% of the merit in the same time frame. This is how you can differentiate between people who are random here and alone vs. those who are inside of the "groups". They are still stuck in the tribalism phase of human development, so their behaviors tend to be obvious even though they tend to have a lot of playroom since here the scrutiny is very low.

Correct, and the reason given is inconsistent bullshit. Spam can't be stopped, trolling can't be stopped, shitposts can't be stopped completely either but there are rules against it. If it was disallowed, over 90% of the multiple accounts would disappear within 1 year. The only ones that would remain are those who are very skilled to keep them hidden, but at that point it would not matter at all that a few remain.

Perhaps that account is one of the accounts said to be owned by people who were introduced to the forum but are no longer active.

Well, it may look that way now but there are a lot of people here I've had phone conversations in the past with and Gozie too has had with them. Direct phone calls, I mean. These ones know we're not the same persons. Maybe they're skeptical or scared of speaking up here for fear of attack. One thing this incident has made me realize is that sometimes people get accused wrongly and it stands like it's the truth.
