Alberta separating from Canada

Alberta is trying to separate from Canada and I don’t blame them. The Alberta Independence movement is gaining traction as Alberta doesn’t want to be economically tied to the rest of the Canadian economy. It is nice to know that there are some Canadians against the insanity happening north of our border.

That can not just happened, maybe they want more money from the government but I do not know how Canadian government is, but some people will like to pressurise the government just to make sure they do what you want them to do.

But if it is about separation, Canada will not listen. Alberta is called the heart of Canada for a reason. They are producing the largest oil and gas in the country and they have the third largest reserve in the world. It is contributing about 17% to Canada's GDP.

It will be better for Trump to just leave Canada alone because I think people from Alberta could be having meeting with him for the separation. He said recently that he does not want to annexed Canada but we do not know what he is planning.

But absolutely watch Alberta. Why? Because in the US States, there is a high percentage of people who want to secede, even if it is not a majority. We just might get some pointers from Alberta regarding how to go about it in the States.

Trump might hear them from that call, it's just above near to its two states. I haven't heard this from a relative of mine from Alberta. It would be interesting to ask them about this call for separation from the Canadian government. If this happens, this might make them as a special autonomous region of Canada, isn't it? just like Hong Kong and Macau from China.

The Canadians that aren’t dependent on government to survive are beginning to grow resentful of those who are after a free ride in life. A positive development for Canada.

In countries where a state wants to separate from the current governnet it, it is caused by insecurity and resource management. If a state has rich resources that benefit the country, and it turns out that the state lacks amenities despite its richness, it becomes a problem. And if that state is lacking good security, it is also a problem. It is not always about more money, most of the time, it is about what they are benefiting from the government, which is their right.

A lot of things are happening underneath to what some of us already got exposure to, they wouldn't have made the move for separation if things had been working out for them as they expected, we live in a kind of world were the people voice were being silenced to fight for their right, because those in power think they have the right over an individual decision, we need to see how we could work things out for our self before we got denied of our rights.

I read about it a few years ago when leaders of these separatist groups met with Trump administration officials in Washington, D.C. I also doubt if they will achieve their aim of having a referendum.

The vast majority of Canadian oil and gas is produced in Alberta, where the energy sector is a significant employer and oil and gas tax revenues contribute substantially to provincial government coffers.

This is complicated. I doubt it that even they collect 10% of the total signatures from the residents there will result to something positive for what they're fighting for as separatists. IMO, this is just all about the source that they've got there, oil and gas which is timely from what's happening currently in the mid east.

While there are many reasons for Alberta wanting to split from Canada, one of them that really bugs folks there (and those in the Northwest Territories) is that Federal law requites all government communications be released in both English and French. Hell, the head of Canada's Air Safety had to resign a couple weeks ago because he expressed his condolences only in English about a recent crash in the US and (French speakers) went ballistic over it.

Alberta and the NWT together have less than 100 residents who speak only French which makes it a pointless and needless expense for them.

There are speculations I have also read few days back, although I'm no fan of the US interfering in the Unity of a sovereign country as Canada. There's only one thing they're after if you look deep they're not really after the people of Alberta. But I get it, since they can not get the whole of Canada, they're attempting to break a part of it to get what they want. Some say Elon Musk also endorsed the move, but I ask who also endorsed Donald Trump for Americans?! Enough damage done. Canadians shouldn't let it happen, a few support and the others do not. What do I know?! We'll see!
