Can forum users be considered true friends based on their helpfulness and honest

At the beginning, I have only been registered here for a few days. But before this forum was registered, I had been studying here for about 2 months or more, but I had not registered here. I actually felt the need to register here when I studied in this forum and saw that most of the users here are very friendly with each other and are helping each other by explaining things they do not understand. Each one wants each other to grow financially or mentally.But in real life,most of the time, the people around us do not want others to grow, but rather want to grow alone. Then I actually felt that I could learn more here than the things I have learned from other places so far, because everyone here is helping each other with their intelligence and knowledge.Yes,it is true that there may be people who can help me in other places, but they will help me only when I give them a good amount.

Now I want to discuss the main point and ask for your advice and opinions.
What does friend mean?
We know there are many ways to measure a friend. But if I say it at a very basic level, a friend is someone who comes forward when I am in trouble. A friend is someone who always wants me to grow. And of course a friend is someone who doesn't say one thing to me in front of me and another behind my back. Always tries to make me feel good. Isn't that it? The joy is that most of the users of this forum maintain these criteria.

However, now I have a question for you, what other things should be there to be a friend? And in your opinion, based on those things, can you consider the users here as friends?

The forum was registered years ago, not in 2026.

It is a very popular introduction from newbies like I spent months to study about the forum and only registered my account days ago.

I actually felt the need to register here when I studied in this forum and saw that most of the users here are very friendly with each other and are helping each other by explaining things they do not understand.

Contrasting, some newbies complain that the forum is not friendly newbies and self introductions from newbies.

Each one wants each other to grow financially or mentally.

The forum is a Bitcoin forum.

People should join it to learn about Bitcoin, firstly and mainly about Bitcoin. Bitcoin can help them improving their finance, but mental things are something different. There is no psychological treatment given in the forum that is not a medical clinics.

However, now I have a question for you, what other things should be there to be a friend? And in your opinion, based on those things, can you consider the users here as friends?

You don't need to find and have any friend here because if your purpose is learning, the forum has enough resources for learning, and forum members can help your learning without need of becoming your friends.

This forum isn't Facebook where you can meet people and have new friends, this forum is all about Bitcoin and crypto education combined, I will advice you to stay focused on this rather than looking for friends on here, what happened to the real world? Offline? Not enough to make some new friends?

The one thing that I've noticed with this forum is people only get missed right after they've passed, when they are no more is where you will start seeing "he will be missed", as if when he or she was alive and active on here some kind of friendliness was going on, I've read few posts like this on here and reading through replies makes my stomach turned, it's just the way this world is, people miss people only after they are dead, tell me how real this is if it's not fake love.

We are forum mates and not friends on this forum, but it is very possible that you will meet some people on this forum and become friends with them. Example is someone from your country that you know through this forum and you started to chat and later you know each other. Another friend is someone you want to close with, no need to know yourself physically but his integrity makes your get close to the person and the person accept you as friends. But one thing that is important is that you will do more than just posting, you will have to message yourselves also.

I think that on this forum, just like in real life, you can meet and get to know (virtually) a lot of different people.
Some of them will help you more, some will help you less and some will not help you at all, exactly the same as in real life.
There is no need to idealize this forum, there are sometimes conflicts here, sometimes fraud or spam, but the most important thing is that most people are gathered around 1 common idea, and that we support each other through the exchange of information and ideas.
I personally met and got to know several members of this forum in person and it was a great experience that I will never forget.

I have read some posts where some members said they met each other outside the forum. So it is not out of place to find good friends in this forum. However, people here cherish privacy, so OP shouldn't expect to make friends here. Most Bitcoiners like to live private lives, so don't expect an informal relationship.   

It might not be fake love. You don't need to have a friendly relationship with someone to enjoy their contribution. Some members have contributed positively to the forum in many ways, and they will be missed greatly if they leave.

Generally, people who like each other, relate with and treat each other well (not necessarily right) could be consider true friends. But, false friends won't really mean it or really like you but pretend to be true friends.
I probably have few friends here based on this description. But there is one better than friends  which maybe  more in numbers, it's called family, and is made of people you are strongly connected to because you really care about one another, share thesame values, or guide one another towards the values you like or care about . You naturally see these as brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, masters, mistress, etc and they will likely be loved more than friends.
 They are the kind of people we strongly hope to find and relate or communicate with on this forum. We may not be communicating on the forum yet, but are attracted by similar/thesame interest like simple living, nomad lifestyle,, humility/gentleness, care more about the vulnerable, consume healthy, true spirituality, Bitcoin, decentralization, privacy, censorship resistance, trustlessness, honesty, charity, good morals, revolutionary ideas, etc.
Perhaps if the forum has a private option that allows members to tick and add what they love or care about, then recommend the members to one another based on those interest(the shared ones), the chance to find and relate with family members here becomes higher

Your hatred is right. But consider Luke 14:26, where Jesus says: "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple," - https://biblehub.com/luke/14-26.htm. So, why do you think that you will be the only saved person?

Consider what John the Apostle said in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life," https://biblehub.com/niv/john/3.htm. There are a lot of people who believe in Jesus for salvation. But if you resist their salvation for them, you are really resisting salvation, period. That means you are resisting salvation for yourself, because Jesus is stronger than you, and He forgives everyone who believes in Him, and you don't know the hearts of other people, but Jesus does.

Consider Matthew 6:14,15, what Jesus said right after He spoke the Lords Prayer to the people: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins," - https://biblehub.com/niv/matthew/6.htm. The Lord's Prayer is a salvation prayer for all who believe.

So, if you want to be saved yourself, make sure you are forgiving everybody, including yourself.
