He's just promoting the upcoming UFC event that's gonna happen on the White House lawn in a couple months IMO. I don't see anything wrong with it as it's not like he's saying go play at stake or anything.

So its the fight after all, and not the casino itself but  i guess this might fall on ethical or political complaint but legality? I guess there's no laws regarding the so called "not allowed" for a president promoting such but yeah, knowing it's trump i gues speople are used to it. He might get more legal case later after his term lol.

You can expect anything from a President who is not in the best position, polls show him losing upcoming elections after the war in Iran. Even beside that he is well known for his shows about money like "The art of the deal" and "The apprentice" which show his desire to grow more and more money and fame, for this he will do everything, including the promotion of a crypto casino in a post in this "Truth" social media that honestly I have learned about only in Instagram reels nowadays, I didn't know such social media existed just a few days ago. There is nothing to be surprised, you know his son Barron trump got rich by trading oil just before the Straight of Hormuz was closed so to him everything translates to money.

I don't follow UFC much so not sure the real connection of Trump here but many others said he can be a president now but he has always been a businessman so he will take every opportunity there to get some attention.

Can we now crown Trump as the most unconventional president of all times? He doesn't follow the already known rules or patterns, we just wake up one morning to  a trending news where he is the center of it all. From positioning himself as a pro-crypto president and now, our dearest President may be on his way to being a pro-gambling advocate. I am not surprised, he once owned a casino (not sure if it is still in operation), he has never been against gambling.

He had already got the crown as one of the most unconventional sitting presidents when he decided to tear down a significant part of the White House in order to buling a ballot room.
Also you gotta remember he even decided to sell their own NFTs during his last presidential campaign, there was no shame or seconds thoughts about it, he the guy is pretty much into anything which gives him money.
He does not care about grey areas and he is definitely into casinos and cryptocurrency nowadays, once he has realized he can profit from it easily and get away with it with no punishment at all.

That's the way I see it. Afterall he is a business owner and president who has shown interest in cryptocurrency and it's related activities, so there's nothing absolutely wrong with his go ahead to sponsor a forth coming event that would even benefit him and divert people's attention from the ongoing war.

His intention may not be to promote Stake, he may not even know that the Stake written at the lower part of the image means a gambling platform.  I indeed he did not intend to promote Stake, his staff that created the post or suggested what image to use should receive the blame. I don't think it is appropriate for the president to promote a gambling platform because that can be used against him by his political opponents.

I do not think he cares about who he takes money from or how he earns that money.

Although wearing a gambling signature myself, as do many others here on this forum website, I am not going to say anything against or for it. But when you are the president of the USA, you should put how you present yourself as more important than monetary profit. This is something that Donald Trump cannot do. And that ís why he will never be a historical role model.

It's strange, but I understand the connection to the UFC, since Stake sponsors a lot of things in sports, but seeing a president sharing something that ends up promoting a cryptocurrency casino really falls into a gray area. It may have been just because of the UFC, but it's still noteworthy.

Exactly my thought, why didn’t op focus more on the UFC that Trump is promoting. But he went on to point out stake logo that was in the background. Trump won’t deliberately promote a casino as sitting president. There’s no way a UFC match will take place without a casino being part of their official partners. And having the logo of UFC partner in the promotion of the upcoming fight doesn’t mean that the president is promoting the casino.

Trump has always been connected to the UFC in some way and is passionate about the sport, so he's giving it a hand, perhaps similar to when he started selling Teslas at the White House. In any case, Obama liked basketball, others baseball, but they were neutral, and Trump did it in his own style. Undoubtedly, what's "strange" ^things is having Stake in that photo.

It probably wasn't Trump's intention to promote stake but it was an unintentional consequence of him reposting random shit while doiwsy or sleepy.

He is famous for his unvetted rambling post midnight that are kind of unheard of for a president of s country.
He made his own social media platform even to capitalize on the visibility his insane writings would get.
Some believe there's some form of eacotericism in Trump's post, like q anon. But really it's just the ramblings of an old man. Oftentimes come next morning his aids will nudge him to delete some of the shit that he had posted and he will actually do so.

You should know that he is a businessman before becoming a politician, so he is always conscious of the business aspect of his office and power, and he uses it effectively. We can see that in how he makes crass statements, which affect the global markets, giving opportunities for a crash to invest and also the prediction markets and how it has been so far. He takes advantage of every little opportunities that comes his way and that is what every businessman does so his is not different and I would not be surprised to see this you have reported here.

It was not to promote stake, it was to promote the UFC fight happening in the white house in june 14(according to what I've read). But if you ask me, it's kind of weird, because if you look at that image for the first time, it would look like that he is promoting stake.com. He could have posted that image without the stake logo.

It’s nothing surprising really. We know Trump is unpredictable, so some people may think promoting gambling is possible for him, but that’s not really what it was. Like yahoo62278 said, it was just about promoting an upcoming fight. Still, this is only a small issue compared to everything else happening around him. It was not to promote stake, it was to promote the UFC fight happening in the white house in june 14(according to what I've read). But the image is a high promotion of Stake. You don’t see the previous presidents promoting other brands like this specially gambling websites now that the economy is heavy on this side with prediction markets like Polymarket. You can’t run from this anymore

Two things can be true about this. Either he shared it not for the purpose of promoting stake but for bringing awareness to the UFC match itself and stake is the sponsor and should be represented in the flyer. Or Trump is just being himself and that's being a businessman like he has always been. I honestly won't be surprised if this was the case tbh.

Looks like it was just made by some independent Stake affiliate and not really from the casino itself, since they did not post anything official on their website.

News like that, if it was true, would be something they would gladly publish because it would give the casino even more popularity. We already know Stake has a license in the US, so that would be a huge marketing move if it were actually true.

It’s up to the people how they will interpret this promotion but his move is justifiable since the match will venue at the White House.

Well, to be honest, I don't see anything wrong with the picture trump reposted on his truth social account since he didn't say anything about going to stake to gamble.

I think that some times or most times actually, we over think and over react on certain things that ordinarily we are not supposed to even give attention to them let alone having to bother ourselves over them.

What I am personally assuming is  that Trump is a free spirited person who even as a president of the united states doesn't read meanings to most things that he does, this is to say that he must have seen that stake was written on the picture when he wanted to repost the picture but he simply didn't care because to him, what was written on the picture wasn't a big deal, or do you think it is?
