One thing that is on the mind is the use of blockchain in voting!
Vote rigging is happening in many countries around the world and there are complaints about it!

The following countries are notable among them:

1 Uganda
2 Kenya
3 Bangladesh
4 Belarus
5 Venezuela
6 Moldova and more

That is, can a democratic country not use blockchain as a means of preventing vote rigging?
I don't know if this system is in operation in many countries, but I think it could be one of the most groundbreaking chapters.

Connecting the information of all citizens of the country to the blockchain and continuing the voting process based on the information contained in that blockchain.
In this case, voting will definitely be done with the help of technology. Blockchain data can be used through an app or website to manage the voting system.

For example:
If a country has 10,000 citizens and a citizen verifies his/her information and completes the vote, 1 will be automatically and instantly subtracted from the blockchain (10,000 − 1 = 9,999) and the number 9,999 will be displayed there!

If the vote is taken in this way, there will be no possibility of vote rigging and it will be easy to understand how many people participated!

The list is not complete. I think every country practising democracy is suffering from vote rigging in the electoral process.
Blockchain voting is an electronic voting system that many countries have begun to adopt. So far, the election is still being rigged, even with electronic voting. As long as the voting system is organised by people who have been paid to manipulate it, the developers or cybersecurity experts will be paid handsomely to rig the election.

The cybersecurity risks will still be there, which is the main reason internet voting is not popular in major countries.

In that case, security must be ensured!
Thanks to technological advances, there are many examples where even very strong security complications can be avoided!
Moreover, no matter how the voting is done, security must be provided!

Honestly it's true because even though internet voting seems convenient, but the fear is that once the system is being breached it will definitely affect alot of votes and it won't be noticed early. The most important thing when it comes to an election is trust and most of this countries won't risk it for all this system breakers out there, and it can be tempered with from any angle or anywhere..

So I will say that until there is goo security and transparency reach a very high stand, the physical and paper process of voting is much more convenient because it gives people alot of confidence

Yeah that can happen in the future for sure, but for now the most secure way is paper voting. They still don't have that much trust in their internet systems.

Voting with blockchain is fine, you can do away with the politician. No need for the community leeches, freeloaders, viruses on society.
Lot of money saved, less tax, no corruption.

Africans will still find a way to win against this technology which will allow them to solve vote buying problems. It is a smart move to stop voting buying as it helps to deal with the leakages which will ordinarily come with vote buying. Our leaders hate anything freedom and democratic in its real practice. Our leaders are so very corrupt and strong in manipulating vis as vis oppression. Blockchain technology is absolutely against such manipulation as it works against centralization, etc.

Blockchain Voting system could be the solution to all vote rigging and buying in elections and elections will then be done based of aspirants qualities and not by selections as it used to be in Africa Nigeria specifically even as it was not mentioned above,  but my question is will the same corrupt representatives we wish to vote out key into such voting system when they are the once with the responsibility of designing elections strategy.

The world has gone beyond analogue operational system and that upgrade should also be effective in elections even if not for any  reason but for transparency which the analogue voting system lacks, and if this blockchain policy is implemented in our voting systems then there will be no room for rigging after all since bitcoin started making use of blockchain I don’t think it have been hacked into before.

Other nation practise vote fraud, Africans is not the only continent in this mess. Vote are manipulated in other countries, you wont hear their cry because you dont live there. It is a solution not a smart move. The probelm is biased voting, rigging of election is possible through the corrup voting committee in chearge of handling and receiving votes from the ballot box. Electronic voting is a solution the world need. While some countries are already practising it.

IMHO, we have to see those countries that will have an actual dry run and official elections to see if this is effective. I'm believing that voting with the use of blockchain is going to make it visible that results can't be altered and it can't be cheated. But, we'll have to see with the actual application of it from the said countries.

Well, the idea actually makes sense, blockchain can help make voting more transparent and harder to manipulate. Because once a vote is recorded on blockchain, it cannot be changed or deleted, so it reduces chances of rigging or altering results. But the truth is, it’s not fully perfect yet. Many countries are still testing it in small pilots, not full national elections. For example, Estonia has used digital voting systems for years and is even improving it with blockchain to make it more secure . Also, in the United States, places like West Virginia tested blockchain voting for people abroad, but it was limited and not used nationwide. The perfect example to compliment this will be that if you imagine 1,000 people are voting. Once you vote, your vote is recorded like a receipt on the blockchain. Everyone can see that a vote was counted, but nobody can change it or fake extra votes. So if total votes show 1,000, nobody can secretly add more.

Do the current governments like this idea of blockchain voting for elections? I don't think governments like independent regulation, they prefer what is already in the law, which means they can control it while they are in power.

As a citizen, I would certainly be happy with this innovation, it's just that I doubt there will be an election that votes via blockchain.
The government will intercept this plan and it is unlikely that this idea will ever make it to the government.

Real local people doing the real vote count is the best way. They know their neighbors. Get rid of voting machines altogether, even by blockchain. And certainly clamp down on mail-in voting. If you want to vote, get to the poles. You can do it. That's what (adjudicated) Travel by Right of the 1st Amendment is for.

Stalin said, "It's not he who votes that counts, but he who counts the votes."

This is how it is done once a vote is made, it shows on a billboard all over the country. It can also be seen online, as people vote seamlessly. I am not saying electronic voting cannot be manipulated. It can be manipulated, but to the extent that votes are calculated internally within the ballot system of voting. Any system of voting can be rigged. Im not sure we will ever see a system of voting that will be 100% free and fair. Manipulation cannot be stopped, but can be mitigated through electronic voting. That is my point here.

We can take advantage of the blockchain technology for many opportunities that relies trust and openness, because when we look at the future of the blockchain technology, all these are going to be observed as part of the major features it comprises, this also make it more applicable on different sectors as long as we can adopt for the use of the blockchain for fur own personal or public use.

If every country politically incorporates blockchain technology and makes it internationally mandatory for voting and printing money, we will see a new world where poverty is eradicated.
And for such activities, the public should be informed more and more through online communities and forums and the concept and promotion of blockchain technology should be spread more and more.
Therefore, it is necessary to create awareness among current students on this topic. To help them take such steps in the future, free magazines and short booklets on blockchain technology and Bitcoin can be given.

That is, can a democratic country not use blockchain as a means of preventing vote rigging?
I don't know if this system is in operation in many countries, but I think it could be one of the most groundbreaking chapters.

Some countries have tried it or a similar process in the past but the truth is, blockchain voting can not totally eliminate election fraud but it can reduce it to some extent. There are many things to consider before opting into this system of voting in order to achieve result.

Nigeria for example can not practice this system at this moment. Blockchain voting means the election process becomes digital by default. This means every voter must have access to smartphone and have digital literacy as well. Having access to smartphone is a minor issue thou but digital literacy will be a major setback especially in the rural areas. Unless the electoral body is ready to disenfranchised millions of people who can not either access smart phone or network.

Moreover, blockchain only secure the number of voters but not the voting process. This means politicians can still have their ways through vote buying and other illegal ways.

The solution can be simpler. For each voter the system will generate a unique number (identifier), and only he will know this number. After the voting, the government will publish a base of correspondence "identifier-vote" for all people who have participated in the elections. Each person will be able to download this base and find his identifier so he will check his vote in the system.
