According to local news. Panic erupted in Bayelsa State as military personnel engaged in a public altercation.
Viral video footage shows the soldiers fighting, causing fear and confusion among the residence.
The incident prompted concern about escalation, with onlookers keeping their distance.

I think Nigeria soldiers should be disciplined enough to comport themselves when ever they are in the public.
Soldiers should learn how to work together before they can be able to combat problems and insecurity challenges within the country Nigeria.
We can all see the high level of insecurity challenges, and if the soldiers are always disagreeing among themselves, they will expose themselves to more danger and become even victims of circumstances.

What is your take on this?

Op Been a full member of this forum I expect that you should know which board that this thread fits into. This thread has nothing to do with anything related to crypto currency. I suggest that you move this thread to the relevant board because this topic to me looks like a thread that is supposed to be in politics and society on the local board.

But this is not the first time that we are seeing something like this in Nigeria. There is this power class that always goes on within our military forces. From what I gathered from the news this was a confrontation between the Army and that of the Navy today when the president paid the state a visit for some projects commissioning. It only shows the high level of indiscipline within our military because everyone wants to show that they have guns and wear a military camouflage. This is happening because one of the forces was on a check point while the other force wanted to pass with slowing down the intimidating people on the road.

Discipline is one of the core values of the military but when soldiers starts clashing publicly it send the wrong message especially in a country already dealing with serious security challenge. Also I wouldn’t say incidents like this totally means that the entire military is not disciplined, why because things like this can happen due to so many reasons like internal misunderstandings or even stress from the kind of pressure that they face everyday, We all know how many of this military has died trying to protect their country but still it doesn’t justify them clashing in public because that alone creates fear and raise question because how can the people meant to protect the public are seen fighting with each other, it makes no senses at all.
So I think proper investigation should be carried out on this matter and those that are at fault and found guilty should be held accountable and dealt with internally so that cases like this won’t reappear itself in any part of the country.
