Seems like crypto wallets are going for the ease of convenience while compromising on the security while it should be the other way around.
Besides that, users also need to be careful when storing their seed phrases.
If people don't use such options like cloud storage, screenshot etc.. then developers will automatically remove those options.
Yeah, some newbies might still use such options but I think everyone should start with the basics of how to store seed phrases properly.

It’s a feeling known better when experienced. Fortunately, there are those that don’t need to know this feeling because, they put themselves through learning and getting a glimpse of what this might be from other individuals while the unfortunate ones can play being novice and test an unforgiving cryptocurrency space.
Privacy and security is everything in this space and should be invested in real good, time and resources too. Not people that would choose to ignore warnings on how to download proper wallet from legit sources and store the bulk of their life’s savings on cheaply purchased hardware wallets.

The sad truth is that many people only understands how important security measures are when they’ve just experienced a terrible loss. Letting your guard down in crypto can make your years of hard work into a fruitless effort. Most investors only focus more on the accumulation and building aspect of the investment and often neglecting the security aspect, without knowing that it is in fact the most important aspect of the investment.

Beginners will always like to try other thing to know which one is good for them to hold their coins, I think that is what is making beginners to lost their coins to scammers because there are some wallet that are very easy for scammers to have their way to the coins in the wallet, since one of my school friend referred me to trust wallet, I don't like to use any wallet apart from trust wallet because is good for long holding and nothing will happen to your coins, but never allow anyone to tell you that you should save your seeds phase in the phone or laptop.

One of the wallet adverts I was listening to online use statement like you don't have to worry about losing access to your seed phrase you can automatically back it up online, which shows that they are enabling such an option because they see that people need it based on the complaint they see online, and even if people don't use it they will still hope they do and try to offer a different option from their competitors

Unfortunately, only newbies who are privileged to be here in this forum will get to read this and take precautionary measures where necessary. There are lots of newbies out there who are still making this mistake today. They may feel safe now because nothing bad has happened yet, but what is awaiting them is like a time bomb waiting to explode.

Those who have obeyed and have not stored their seeds online, yet have also not stored their seeds offline properly, are still not free from the risk of unauthorized access to their bitcoins.

Newbies are very vulnerable. That is why they are not supposed to invest so quickly; they should understand Bitcoin first before investing in it. When they fail to learn first, they end up learning from their mistakes or quit completely if they cannot bear the loss.

Actually most persons learn faster through their own mistakes,and most persons don’t value what they have till they lose it.If you value your bitcoin you would secure it as precious as it ought to be secured,but when you don’t value it you may likely take heed to random individuals words on the internet and lose your coin or get your login credentials compromised.Why not try what other experienced users have been using and stick to their step instead of following some random persons you barely know on the internet.The internet is full of scammers and it would be wise if you take out your energy and secure your coins at all costs and neglect whatever platform that promises unrealistic returns.

If wallet providers themselves believe in the idea of automatically backing up the seed phrase to cloud then it clearly shows that they are behind money and not customer safety.
Storing seed phrase in cloud storage is against the ideology of the bitcoin community. People should actually learn how to safeguard their own money.
Lack of awareness and procrastination towards learning about bitcoin is what the main cause of getting their funds stolen by scammers.

Indeed only wicked person can give newbies such kind of ideas; and since their new to here crypto they wanted to learn everything every fast which is why most of them fallen in such victims of the scammers; the best thing is for them to avoid wrong advice from wicked people.

In fact, I expected something like that in my early days of using it because of the bad press that app has been receiving. Yet, I'm still safe till date. Yes, I know of dusts and all that scam tokens getting added to the app by dubious Devs but that's where it should end if users aren't greedy in claiming what they didn't invest in. Some of Solana wallets also have that same issue of fake tokens getting dropped in wallets. I'm not trying to endorse TW here but I believe hacks or scams that happen may not necessarily be TW's fault. There are users who don't care about their safety. I'm plainly  stating how it's.

...if you must you trust wallet make sure you store your recovery seed offline, don't patronize their cloud storage idea, it's totally wrong.

I believe it's based on popular demand that they added the Cloud storage option. There are users who don't like stressing while using apps and for such users, that's a plus for them as they would think. Nonetheless, I won't advise anyone to use that feature in storing their seedphrases. I do store mine manually by writing them out myself.

Many people got affected on that issue before, but I don't know if they made a refund since last time I read they are doing that for those people affected from the said hack.

With those matters this make TW not good to store huge amount, also lucky that you didn't experience that issue. Because this is really frustrating situation for people affected with this issue.

If a newbie doesn't have the knowledge on Safety he will easily think that storing his wallet on cloud or in his email is safe because they don't know how easy it is for such things to be compromised. Ask a random newbie that doesn't have proper knowledge on security wether it's safer to write out his seed phrase physically or to save it in cloud, they will choose convenient over real safety and that's the area where an trust wallet gets it all wrong.

In the first place, it's not safe to leave your asset in an exchange for long and even gets worse when you're doing so and assisting in causing more compromise by leaving your access key in a cloud or in an email. The update by trust wallet is a very bad one that's enough to tarnish Thier image because anyone that's strong on the security if his asset might run from them just because of that.
