What??
50watt solar panel? The only thing you can run on this solar setup is a solo miner gang doesn't take more than 10 to 20watts and that's. 500gh to 1th solo miner like this NMAxe miners.
Here is what they look like.

The experiment is expected to work if you truly know how to set up solar panels and inverter, but don't expect to make any Bitcoin with this setup, there is no way a 500gh Bitcoin miner can solve any blocks in 2026, the smallest so far looking at the past solved blocks history is 4.8TH, I advice you up this game a bit to atleast have a better chance of solving a block.
Goodluck.
You are absolutely right. A 50W setup is indeed very small-scale. My current experiment is focused on solo mining with low-power units like the Bitaxe or similar small miners that pull around 10-15W. The goal isn't to hit a block immediately but to test the efficiency of a purely off-grid DC-to-DC setup without heavy inverter losses.
Interesting setup. In hot and humid areas, cooling is often more important than the solar panels themselves. Even a 2–3°C drop can help keep the miner stable. The 10A10 diode is a good idea for protection, although a charge controller may be more efficient. A hybrid solar-grid setup is probably the best option since even 10–15% power savings can help.

I agree that cooling is the biggest enemy in humid areas. In our humid climate, heat management is often a bigger challenge than getting enough sunlight. That’s why I’ve been testing vertical garden-style shading to keep the ambient temperature down. About the charge controller—you’re spot on. A simple diode is just a temporary fix for protection. I’m actually planning to upgrade to an MPPT controller very soon. I want to see how much more power and efficiency I can get out of these small panels by using a proper controller instead of a direct connection.
