What small Bitcoin mistakes did you underestimate in the beginning of your journ

Hello everyone, okay so I’ve been going through posts here and yeah, I keep seeing so many warnings like scams, protecting seed phrases, all those basic things which I’ve taken note of. But though, it still seems like some of those mistakes become obvious with time once you stay in this space long enough.

What I’m even more curious about are those lowkey mistakes… the ones that don’t look harmful at first. Sometimes they even seem like they’re working or making you money, but slowly they build up and later become a real problem, because I’ve heard people said that mistakes like those exist in Bitcoin.

Like maybe habits or decisions you didn’t think twice about early on, but looking back now, you realize you should have done it differently.
I just want to hear real experiences from people that have been in this space for a while, that’s the reason I’m here in the first place.

I have not made any mistakes I may regret in the future. This is because I joined this forum early and learned a lot, both from this forum and through personal research, before I finally decided to buy bitcoins and invest properly. I was never in a hurry to invest in order to start making profits; this is what I want newbies to do so they can avoid making costly mistakes in the future.

Yes, I do not believe in making mistakes first before learning because some mistakes are actually avoidable. Since I joined this forum and made my intentions about bitcoin known, I have received lots of unsolicited messages from strangers. I’ve seen mouthwatering offers out there which also carry lots of risks. I have understood the dangers of KYC, malicious links, and some other security concerns. This forum has exposed a lot to me. OP, follow up on discussions in this forum and you will not be misled.

I think this is what many newbie traders experience, because me personally I made same mistake when I was pushing trying very to see that I made a lot of money from the crypto space. You know when you don’t have the knowledge of something you will start thinking that all this channels are legit because you see that they screenshot where they make money.

you will be thinking maybe they are the one who actually did that. Many of this traders doesn’t really know how to do it, the way we are seeing but they are influencers they won’t show their lose on the internet rather when they are winning, that is why I prefer learning every step so I will do it my self, I can’t advise any beginner to follow channels whether it’s free or paid one, those requesting money can also be scammers

One thing about new commerce is that they are impatient to learn, especially when they come with the notion that there are a lot of money to be grabbed this place. Any newbie that joins crypto from the route of social media is likely going to suffer this fate.

A simple search of "how to make money in crypto" will trigger the social media algorithm to be displaying unreal sponsored ads. It's even worse in this advent of web3. I remember when I gave the url of this forum to visit here and learn. I told him there is also an earning opportunity but he didn't take it seriously. He was rather busy with one telegram tap-tap game or something like that. He later came to me to show me his millions of coins. I was trying to explain to him about listing criteria and how his whole millions of coins might not even get him $100. He didn't listen but later it was dawn on him.

The mistake of most people is to trade bitcoins in the early stages that are only a few dollars to hundreds of dollars, including me, a lot of bitcoins from gifts and others that I got but sold them just because of momentary gains to buy something in the past.
 
Today one bitcoin is enough to buy a luxury house, or a mid-level vehicle.

Stop thinking about mistakes, learn from them, and collect more bitcoins for your old age.

What I know from research is that they didn't invest more money and now regretting not doing it before then they would have earned more money. I may have been the same but there's a difference since I don't have extra money even If I am willing to risk it. Maybe I should spend more time reading and research.

Everything if was done improperly is always risky and should be done differently when you look back after you have enough knowledge and experience. It's just whether you were lucky enough for having no issues with your past mistakes but if you look back, you would likely hope that you have practiced very differently as it would be much safer for your fund.

My first crypto wallet was a web wallet, blockchain info, which I thought was a spin-off of the Bitcoin company, so it would be fine. Admittedly, I didn't have much Bitcoin to store at the time. You're also obviously seem to had come into the crypto and forum newly and then, you'll have a lot to learn about in the system. Those posts about seed phrases you sees are bides with security measures on the encouragement to keep our fund's secured while assuming those incidents that had happened to others as lessons to enhance our wallets security factors.
Also, those scamming discussions is just to bring it to our aids so that we can really understand how unsafe the internet is even though bitcoin is decentralized that resists regulations and authorities.
Perhaps online scammers remains a big threat for bitcoin and crypto holders.

• Trading is going to make us a lot of money but it's not for all.
• Keeping your funds in exchanges.
• Airdrops are free but many have become not these days, they'll require you some purchase on their tokens to be eligible.

Its normal to trade and make mistake its understandable at the start but if you keep failing and make the same mistake again then there is something wrong or maybe your really not into trading.
Joining free telegram channel and paid channel are now almost the same, i have seen people, who are posting in the internet regarding how this channels are getting money from them but never gets anything in return, maybe its just coincidence, but this happens, seen group flexing about their members profit but in reality they were the only one who get profit, while the members are just pump for their signals.
I think the mistake i did before is using bitcoin to by anything few years ago since, i have extra money i have accumulated a lot of bitcoin, sadly, i did not keep it, i always play btc xrp before in a exchange selling buying, until my bitcoin is gone.

Following the ads telling about making money easily from crypto is the big mistakes that I did in the past. I spent money with them but that just made me lost money.

Invested in a site telling that they can helps us increasing the amount for some time. That is another mistakes that I also did before but I don't lost money much as I learned from previous mistakes.

Saving Bitcoins in a gambling site but the site turns to scam. I though that is safe to keeps my Bitcoin there but I don't thinks about the scam can happens easily.

Thank you for sharin, that was insightful…. I’m not entirely new to the trading space or gambling, I’ve been in the forex industry for 3 years and counting. Being in crypto is more of a curiosity and interest leap… so from my experience in trading I believe it is very important to know the little fire flies that’ll grow into dragons. And I was told for crypto things and the experiences can be different. So got it. Trade by myself and avoid free telegram. Thank you
