That's true, it's not like you won't be rewarded if you hold for a year or two but the coin is volatile and could drop below your starting point in a space of one or two years. However in the history of Bitcoin, it has always increased and set new heights after every circle that's why investors are advised to hold for about a full Bitcoin circle or beyond.
 Another thing is that taking profits below the full circle would be selling at lose and it mostly comes with regrets, for instance imagine selling at $73k then Bitcoin goes to 150 or $200k in 2028, that's why it's more profitable to hold longer so you'll get better return of investment.

With my little knowledge and experience about Bitcoin in the past few years, there has never been a person who withheld Bitcoin in the long run without getting a reward or making profit from being patient. Patient investors are the most profitable one's in the market. But many fail to follow the process and want to follow the short cut which is trading or gambling with some shit/altcoin, but later regret why they did so at first. I will advice everyone to take Bitcoin seriously because that is the only asset with long term profit.

If Bitcoin has ever failed in rewarding patient investors, we won’t see the massive inflow of money from institutions that have invested heavily in Bitcoin. Bitcoin for the hatred it has also gained would not have also reached this stage we are now with it, that reason could have been a major one to pull it back down and not allow it to excel in the midst of untrustworthiness that the government has for it. Bitcoin has rewarded every single patient investors, unless you did what could make you not get to be benefited, but Bitcoin has never failed in rewarding its patient investors. This is enough to know that bitcoin has never failed in making its investors to make money but the problem is that some people are selling their bitcoin early. People are free to have their opinion, it's a free word, we also talks bad about other investments and how Bitcoin is better than some of this investment but the difference between Bitcoin investment and other investment is that Bitcoin has evidence enough to show that if you have been holding Bitcoin for long and you don't sell at loss, you are certainly going to make your money, it's because some of them want quick investment that will give them quick return.

I have come to realize also that people are going to say bad about something that is good. The bull run isn't guaranteed and even if it's, the way the crypto market has changed, I don't think the days of making quick money are going to be here for long time. Who knew that meme coins were going to explode like they did but right after meme coins trended the alts that many people are used to refused to pump and now everyone seems to be disappointed because their investment seems like a waste of time, majority of them are just holding to exit.

Now it's every two market days we see news that protocols are hack, this thing is making hard for people to want to invest their money. It is true that someone hardly loses money on their Bitcoin investment after holding for a long period of time. Almost everyone who was patient and held Bitcoin for the long term is actually in a reasonable profit position. However, the fact is that it is not only long-term investors who make profits. There are some people who do not hold for the long term, yet they still make profits. It’s clear, only people that have patient and believe in Bitcoin are investing in a long term, people that don’t want to be patient do invest in meme coins and maybe altcoins, they are after quick profit, so they take high risk just to make quick money, some of them failed while some succeed because all these altcoin investments are risky because there is no certainty in your profit because it’s for short term, but if it is on a very solid project like Bitcoin, you can invest in a very long term and make good money because Bitcoin investment is the best.

Then when I was still new without any knowledge on how bitcoin work my mind was fixed on only making money from cryptocurrency. Due to that I didn’t bother to expand or do some research to understand how things works , which I later regretted because it actually cost me alot then , I had to find ways to start learning how to expand my knowledge then I came to this forum , and the process became faster, because was not just learning I was also interacting with others that share same interests, then i find out that most old members here that invested in bitcoin during the early stage (years back ) are actually in massive profits , which actually build my confidence in bitcoin, so yes Bitcoin is fonds of rewarding those that are patient .
