The word greed means selfishness, repacitve etc, it has make most people lose valuable opportunities in the circle of life, most people fall for scam because of greedness, the moment thy heard of someone investing and making profits they also want to do, not knowing or observing the rules and regulations of the circles, this is were scam comes in.

To avoid scams even after awareness, no body is still above mistakes. To avoid scams one need to know that scammers has upgraded, so u also need to upgrade as well, because, scammers now has so many devices for impersonating, and hacking devices. Try not to be under pressure and be wise.

Some scams are so complicated that you would not even know that you are in one until it has happened. Some of these complicated scams starts out as a very innocent conversation. They try to win your trust and because trusting people is one of the ways humans are wired, we open up to them. I think this statement is actually contracting because I think Awareness is part of making people to have proper knowledge of what they are getting into, while I agree it’s not enough, if one could foresight or what the topic is referring to as awareness i don’t think many will be falling into that trap again. You need to take a break and check everything related to your financial transactions. Most fraud currently occurs in the cryptocurrency space because these transactions are very difficult to trace.

The recent case can be the best example to make people understand how important it is to care about security. That person lost more than 5 BTC just because he downloaded a fake app from the Apple Store. He trusted them and their service, and now there is no claim, no refund, and no insurance. Critics will still blame BTC for this scam, while they will not say a thing about Apple.

Because it was their mistake to let a fake app get listed on the Apple Store, which is not easy either. But hackers are smart, so not only do we as customers have to be more careful, these companies should also hire people who know their stuff. These companies are shifting to AI, and I do not know how that will help them if all of it gets hacked.

We should be more careful than ever because we will not be getting anything back.

I think a lot of people starts to demand more rigid filtering on app stores nowadays, whether it's Play Store or App Store. The number of fake apps or hijacked apps on those platforms grows each day but it takes a long time to take them down. I'm sure you'll hear how some people think Google or Apple is doing the are minimum against these apps while being overly aggresive towards apps that are considered politically dangerous or something. I think we just need to look at the right place if seeing angry people is what we're after.

I tend to choose the high level of greed. People will change their minds if they see the profits especially if that becomes bigger. People greediness level will increase and will not thinks much about the risks. They tend chasing the profit even they know that is too good to be true.

You are absolutely right, the number of scams is increasing, and they are mostly targeting cryptocurrency users because, first, they are easy to target as we can make simple mistakes. Second, it is easier for them to move money and keep it longer than fiat, and sometimes they will not be caught.

We can be scammed if we show greed, impatience, doubt ourselves, trust others, fail to confirm the source, try to be the first to join an opportunity, which also comes under greed, ignore signs that are too clear for us to see but still want to do what we have been offered, or show fear whenever someone impersonating a team member, support agent, or authority asks us to cooperate with them. Every country has different ways of contacting you, and if you are aware of them, you will be less likely to get scammed, but we should also be thinking about ways to save ourselves after we realize something is wrong. For example, if we have clicked on a malicious link or given our seed phrase to someone, we must have security and safety measures in place. For malicious links, we should have a separate device or keep our crypto device separate, so even if we click on a malicious link, our crypto life will not be affected.

Second, if you have given out your seed phrase, you should have 2FA in place. Multi-sig wallets are best, and they cannot move your funds easily.

To be honest, the more clever the scammer are these days, the bigger problem is that we often trust them too easily. New tricks will come but people make decisions without checking that's where they get their chance. And the worst thing is when someone close or familiar is involved, then no one suspects. In my opinion we need to reduce our overtrust a little anyway, check first, then trust. Otherwise it's very easy to fall into the trap.
