Ryan Garcia has announced on his social media that he will be fighting Conor Benn this August and his WBC belt is at stake. While Conor Benn is fresh from his not so good performance against Regis Prograis but that win was enough for him to get the chance to slug it out with King Ry. Personally i think this is a 50-50 fight considering how unpredictable Ryan Garcia which we don't know what version of him would come out in the ring come fight night.

Yeah, ring rust could have affected him during the Rolly Romero fight, but still he had that left hook that is very quick and once it landed, like in the Haney fight, you will know that it will put a dent on that opponent. Benn has history as well of not having a good gas tank so even if he survives the early rounds, he will still have to deal with Ryan's speed + power later in the round. So I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan Garcia will be a decent favorite here to win either by KO or by decision.

Records could not be the same, as they have different opponents and it depends on the caliber as well. With Ryan, I think he has face a lot of B-side level fighters so I think he has the advantage here. And from what we have seen, he had the left, that big weapon in his arsenal.

He could be the underdog in this fight. As I think the sports bookies will favor the young and flamboyant Ryan Garcia. Although Benn won in his last fight against Prograis, not enough for me to convince that he can beat King Ry here.

If we talk about boxing, Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn look interesting, where as far as I know, Ryan has just taken the WBC belt, while Benn is also no less competitive, he just finished his duel against Prograis. This will be a question mark and a fairly high level of curiosity among boxing fans.

I often watch them duel in the ring with different opponents, I see both of them as having their own advantages. where we can see that Garcia is superior in speed while we can see that Benn is superior in blocking punches, meaning endurance vs. This sub-district will be interesting to watch, next August.

Another title fight. Feels like it was just recently when Ryan won a championship, then now here comes another big one.

Honestly, I think this one is even better. I believe Conor Benn is a talented boxer, and I really think he can beat Ryan Garcia. But with the hype around Ryan right now, he’ll most likely be the one listed as the favorite.

I should watch some Conor Benn highlights too, because so far I only looked at his record. He only has 1 loss, which is impressive, though he’s not really a big KO artist since he only has 14 KOs in 25 fights. Still, his numbers are interesting enough to make this fight worth watching.

I've seen both fighters fight before, and I think they'll be in their best shape because this could be considered a legacy fight. If they are in the best form come fight night, Conor has a slight edge. His unpredictability and rugged style will catch Ryan off guard.
Of course, Ryan, at his best, could knock out just about anybody; he should study Conor's pattern and behavior in the ring if he wants an edge in this fight.

I can't really decide on a winner here because I think both fighters are matched in their own way. Its 50-50 and more like a riddle for me and it's not to say if Ryan's left hook or Benn's ability to turn this encounter into a dogfight thus pushing the rounds up, that may be the decider of who actually wins. I was impressed with his rematch against Chris Eubank Jr., but his last fight against Prograis is unimpressive, maybe because he knows Prograis is retiring, so he needs to be in his tip-top shape against Ryan.

Exactly my thought also, Connor is battle tested in a gruelling match, Ryan needs to finish the fight early or have an advantage in the early rounds, if not, Connor will eat him in the latter rounds. Connor fought in the middleweight division so he could match Ryan's power.

Based on what I’m seeing, the prediction this time feels more divided. Ryan is still the more popular boxer, but Conor Benn is not the kind of opponent you can just overlook. He looks like the type who can really beat Ryan if given the chance.

Benn seems an easy matchup for Ryan. He's only looking for a payday from this game. I don't wanna underrate him, but this is the fact. He got 15m from fighting prograis. So he will get far more from this game. He's lacking of ability, and he's nothing compared to the Ryan.

Yeah you are right here mate that experience-wise this will favor Conor Benn and if this will pushes through then this will the first title defense for King Ry. Garcia just need to put more focus on his fight and avoid distraction because for me if this fight goes the distance then Conor Benn will have an advantage because of his experience and also i have a feeling that Benn could take the power of Ryan because he is fighting in this division for quite a while. But overall i think this will be an exciting fight and like i said its 50-50.

True, so even if Benn isn't KO'ed by Garcia in the first few rounds, King Ry could still go toe to toe with him even in later rounds, just like in his recent fight that went to 12 rounds. If this goes the distance, the judges might favor King Ry too 'cause he usually lands cleaner and more accurate shots. I see no reason he can't pull that off when facing Conor in the ring. IMHO, I think Garcia only needs to perfectly time when Benn would come in and try to engage with him - that's when Garcia would probably launch that deadly left hook or land clear shots at him.

If push through, this fight will be the biggest on their respective careers in my opinion. Money-wise, this is expected to generate more than they get on their previous fights as this will be stream by Netflix. I think Ryan Garcia choose Conor Benn over Shakur Stevenson because King Ry knows that he has the advantage on speed so he just need to capitalize this advantage to hurt Conor Benn in the early rounds as i think if this fight goes the distance, Benn will win. Conor is a tough nut to crack and he hasn't been stop in his career yet and this is his natural weight as he has been fighting at this division a few years now.
