To run a node you need to keep the storage free and you need an ssd drive. Because if it is not fast enough then it is  difficult and sometime not possible to run the node. If I say from my own experience I downloaded the full block data it took me about 850+ gb of space. If you want to run the node in pruned mode then you can select 20gb prune  size and leave 40gb of storage free and run the node. Have a nice experience Bro  .

You can't for one run a node with a standard cold storage as primary disk, but you can for sure buy a cheap 1TB external SSD of which can be plugged into your PC.

Point the data directory to the external drive in your settings of which gives you access to a clean full archive node that you can use to verify your own trades without any third party intermidiaries, and you are good to go.

If really no one is buying they should be offloading them already.

I can imagine many companies shredding them for safety.

Have said it many times. Want some 1TB 3.5" spinning drives and are US based, let me know and I'll take a look at what I have left, probably only 2 or 3 at this point but for me they are just taking up space on a shelf.

-Dave

Are you saying you can sell few ones? I would like this offer but I am not in the US.

I thought the whole bitcoin node data is already at 1TB? Wouldn't there be some hiccup? I mean I expect something like 1.2TB or a bit more for stability? Just asking, what did I know?

For the first time I want to know what running a Bitcoin Node feels like.
I have access to unlimited data but what's stopping right now is SSD or NVMe space.

I have other important data on my PC that I can't delete or move elsewhere so I want to ask this, if possible.
Is it possible to sync node into a cloud storage?

Or I don't put the question well, maybe I should say is it possible to run node from a cloud storage?
If yes which ones are more reliable?
It is possible to run a node on a cloud computer like an instance of AWS services etc. But I won't suggest you bro because maybe they will stop you from running in the first place. I have never run on them yet but you can try and recently I was reading a post on another forum on the same issue in which OP was discussing how some people are using these virtual instances to run node.

But if your plan is to run for temporary and not for long term then you can give it a try I think there is noting wrong in here, but you have to acquire a good and fast one and maybe that will cost you and if you can bear the costs you must give it a try haha but do it on your own.

This is the content and total size (MiB and GiB values) of .bitcoin folder of one of my non-pruned nodes running on Linux:
Code:
11G	./chainstate
65G ./indexes/txindex
113M ./indexes/blockfilter/basic/db
13G ./indexes/blockfilter/basic
13G ./indexes/blockfilter
77G ./indexes
143M ./blocks/index
785G ./blocks
872G .
It also has full transaction and blockfilter index. While this can still fit on a 1TB drive (which is commonly only ~931GiB) with no or miniscule amount of filesystem reserved space, I don't recommend to use only 1TB drives anymore.
