I’m curious what members consider to be life’s greatest achievement?

In my current state of mind, I believe the greatest achievement in life is living self-reliantly and sustainably—with only minimal and deliberately chosen dependencies on outside sources—while enjoying the complete freedom to shape my time and forge my own character.

The achievement of being able to take care of myself and the people I cherish the most. Not just financially speaking, but in other aspects as well. Being there for someone you love when they need help is gratifying. Big task or small.

To turn people away from darkness to LIGHT, helping the vulnerable to be victorious over their enemies/oppressors, making society better, etc

The more people this affects the better.

I have asked myself same question severally but I am relying on Aristotle's. 'Happiness' is the summun Bonum.

Everything a man does is in a bid to achieve happiness. Not every rich dude is happy and not every happy person is rich. Once you've attained that stage of containment, happiness freely follows. So happiness is the greatest achievement.

I'd say the greatest achievement would be taking advantage of life as long as you can.

The greatest achievement in life is the family you build and how you contribute to society positively. Family is very important. What you contribute to the society positively is another family you have created outside of your original family. You've just created that unity between two separate families. This I contribute because I society can only be as better as the good things we contribute to it. Take a look around you and see how we have as a society diminish. As all we think about is how to make our next door neighbour jealous. My take.

Being present

Being at peace with yourself.

Making your broke and old you proud by getting richer, healthier and fitter.

Impressing both yourself and your parents honestly. Finally, Making sure that you build something your future generations can be proud of  when your no more. Thank you.

From a person in early 30s, the greatest achievement in life is to find a compatible partner to live with. Every other things in life are trivial compared to it. When you have a partner who trusts you and whom you can depend upon, your life gets easier. It's like two brains and four hands working for the same missions.

I saw a quote that says the older I become the more I noticed that the best achievement or the highest achievement on a personal ground is good health. Not in anyway undermining what you just pointed out here but love to bring to light the working together of good health, selfreliance and sustainable dependence I guess that's imaginable. On a general ground seeing loved ones also healthy is a an overwhelming achievement by mutually existing helping each directly or indirectly, big or small, financially and otherwise.

Having a healthy, loving family with a lot of children. Also having financial freedom for your whole family to enjoy is the second greatest achievement.

My greatest achievement in life is Good health because you can have money, have a successful career but with bad health you can not always enjoy this things. So for Good health am always very happy. Another of my life greatest achievement is being at peace with my self, independent and successful without having to lose my self.
